So we have been meaning to try this place that replaced Pho Hung(which I miss soooo much). We wanted to see if it was just a change of name and the same egg rolls. Definitely not the case. Order was to go(we were the only ones there), they told us 5 to 10 minutes. I sat there and waited around 25 minutes was the actual time. I heard the microwave being used in the back more than once while I was waiting, which mildly concerned me. I saw him put a few things in the bag and one of them looked like a bunch of celery from a distance and assumed it wasn't my order. It was. I got out to the car, we examined the order. We ordered pot stickers, egg rolls and spring rolls. Pot stickers present. The other one was either spring rolls or egg-rolls and the last thing was what I assume was the fresh rolls. Normally I would go back and let them know, but I wasn't sure how long I would be waiting. Pot stickers were alright, the spring/eggrolls definitely do not come even remotely close to Pho Hungs. Spring roll my wife usually loves, but this particular one was way off. We tried it hoping to match the old place, unfortunately I don't think we will give this one another shot. read more

This is hands down my favorite pho spot in Washington and no matter when I go even late at night it is always busy which says a lot about how good it is. The food is consistently excellent and they have done a great job maintaining the same quality every single time. The service is polite and efficient and the ambience feels rustic and cozy which makes the experience even better. I love their pho options and the pricing is very reasonable for the quality you get and I truly hope they continue to maintain that. I especially love their vegetable pho with beef broth and dumplings and their bubble tea is also great. This is a must visit spot for any pho lover in Western Washington. read more

It's my 2nd time at this place. The last time was on New Year's Eve, they had special hours that day (opened until 2am I think). Thought I'd give it a shot another today since I planned on shopping next door. Not sure if they are limited on workers but I wasn't greeted and thus, picked a seat to sit down. I ordered a large D1 (brisket, rare steak,meatball), an order of Vietnamese egg rolls (3), and a banh mi to take home for later. The eggrolls arrived first 10 minutes after my order. Not too big or skinny. Just your regular size egg roll and tasted as expected. Let's start with the pho. It was brought to me about a minute or 2 after the egg rolls. The broth was excellent. Not oily because I don't like those oily pho. Again, as expected. Last, the banh mi. I ordered that to go for later. I specifically said I only want cilantro, jalapeños, and extra patè , NO DAIKON on my Vietnamese ham sandwich. I then discovered later after when I got home that there is daikon . I can dig it out but I would appreciate my requests being fulfilled instead of just nodding and saying yes yes I got it. Regardless I left a tip and most likely will stick to yummy deli for my banh mi. Good for pho though if there's only 1-2 other customers. I have not been this place around busy hours. *EDIT*** I had to come back and add to my review that the HAM is not the vietnamese ham. It is straight up like your normal american ham you buy at the local grocery store. That's a no go for me and a downgrade to 3 stars. read more

I heard from my dad that the place that used to be Pho Hung was a new restaurant called Pho Smile. This place is newly renovated and revamped version of the place with different owners. I ordered their D4, which is their pho tai bo vien. It includes rare beef and beef meatballs. Broth was pretty good not too sweet, just the right amount of aroma. I really enjoyed the pho from this place. I ordered a large and felt like I got a decent amount of noodles for the size. Other than the pho, this place also sells plushies of different characters on the wall. Good idea for families that come with small children. Would definitely come here again, also the new owner is really nice! read more

Brand New Vietnamese restaurant in town. It's used to be Pho Hung next to Pacific Market, now under new owner, new interior design. Looks brighter and spacious. We ordered Bun Bo Hue and Pork chop rice. The seasoning was good, however the Bun Bo Hue needed to be done better: beef texture quite chewy ( should be braised little longer), the broth was quite cloudy. In short A spotless update on a local classic that has sadly gone by and by. The new joint has great food, service, and prices. Pho broth is clear, dark, rich, and on the sweeter side. In long If you've skimmed some reviews here, you've probably noticed that many of us loved the previous tenant here. I personally have no idea what led them to close, but Pho Smile is more than welcome as version 2.0. It's still the same busy, busy street and kinda beat-up looking parking lot & building. But they've spruced it up tremendously inside, and a bit outside. You walk in to new flooring, immaculate new furniture, brighter lights, more TVs, and less clutter. Even the windows seem bigger. Maybe they took down a bunch of pictures that used to cover them? You can order by the door at the kiosk on the counter, or from the cashier. Best of all, if you're dining in, you can just grab a table and get table service. I had it in my silly head that it was all kiosk here. Thankfully, no. The menu is the usual suspects--rolls, pho, bowls, a couple other things. Bobas of course. No hot coffee, which really would have hit the spot today, but now I know. The kid handling tables today was just the nicest, sweetest person. She was quick to clarify that table service was available, and had tea and ice water in front of me in just a couple minutes. Grilled pork spring rolls These are the expected chewy wrap and toothsome noodles, but the pork is a wonderful surprise. Clearly hot, clearly fresh-grilled. You can taste the scoring, and in just the right amount at that. Peanut sauce is about as good as anywhere, and doses up nicely with enough Sriracha in it. I'd get these again anytime. Beautifully presented on a little bamboo mat of a plate. House combo pho (D1) Medium-clear, medium-dark broth. Clear dots of marrow--nice bone stock! Very, very perfumey, though. Was cinnamon on sale recently? There's so much of it in here. Tastes good, but even with beaucoup sambal and Sriracha it was still a little sweet for me. I cleaned up every little bite anyway. It's still good stuff. In the end, I'd love to see them add coffee, and I could do with less cinnamon, but those are not reasons to dock a star. They took over the pho spot that was here before. We used to come to the old place often. While this location isn't as good as the original one, they still have good food and service. Standard prices and typical menu for a pho restaurant. It's not my at the top of my list for pho places in Everett but if you're in the area it's a pretty good option. Pretty impressive upgrade from the old pho place. Came for lunch on a Friday and we were the only ones there. Waitress was friendly and always smiled. I got the Bun Bo Hue. Tried this place for the first time today. It has large shoes to fill as Pho Hung was one of my favorite Vietnamese places. Gave the beef stew pho a try as it's something I don't see on the menu at other pho spots. Was very good. Chatted with the owner and he said he braised the beef for 5 hours. It was very tender, as were the carrot chunks. Broth had lots of flavor. Had an order of eggrolls as well. They were good. Nothing super special, but tasty none the less. Inside of the restaurant is completely redone and nice and fresh. My only complaint would be pricing is a bit higher than a lot of other pho places. Not TOO high, but a bit more expensive. Only one table was occupied. Slow service was an understatement. One of the guys was wearing a tshirt, sweats, and sandals. How unprofessional. It's ok. If you're vegetarian go elsewhere, they have a "tofu veggie" soup but they make it with beef broth and do not offer veggie broth. The fried tofu was about 8 one inch pie cut slices, which is certainly not justifiable for the $4.50 they charge and it's not really that great to be completely honest, very tasteless. The server seemed friendly enough but I asked to review the menu again and the lady at the counter started ringing me up, there was a nice awkward stare down until I realized she didn't speak any English, I finally just motioned opening a book and said "menu" and she figured it out. The server was eating with some woman in the corner and kept getting up and coming to help people which is fine but seemed a bit preoccupied to me. The restaurant is cute but also cluttered, the fish tank appeared dirty on the glass and there was a drum set in the corner. Overall I would give it 4 stars but the fact that they put beef broth in a "veggie" soup is just crazy to me. I'm not trying to sound like a snooty vegan here but that seemed a bit odd to me and I even asked if they could replace it with a veggie option and they said no.
