The broth was savory and the flavor was so complex. The portions here are huge, so you can definitely come in planning to split a dish. The service was very good considering how busy the place was. My father in law recommended this spot and it sure didn't disappoint! I ordered the Fatty Brisket Pho with no green onions/cilantro. They were super flexible and accommodating with my preferences! The broth was hot and so rich in beef flavor. You can tell it's authentic and fresh. I loved the texture and chewiness of the pho noodles. It was cooked to perfection. My friend brought our group of four here for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. To my surprise, it was pretty busy around 2:30P, but we were immediately seated at a table in the back by the kitchen. The menus are secured under the glass tabletop. Most of the pho options are $11.50 for a small and $12.50 for the large, but their House Special is $12.50 and $13.50 respectively. Interestingly, the menus on the table listed the meats that each pho included, but NOT for the House Special. I didn't think anything of it at the time, and each of us ordered it, but now that I read the online menu, something is off. The online menu states the HOUSE SPECIAL contains "Rare eye-round steak, brisket, flank, marble brisket, soft tendon, tripe and meatballs". I am 100% sure there were no meatballs in my bowl nor my friends' bowls. Also, all the beef slices I had were well-done, so I am not confident they gave me the rare eye-round steak either. I originally thought the amount of beef in the dish was fine, but that was before learning there should have been four different varieties. In terms of service, I thought it was efficient and quick. Our waters and my friend's Thai Tea arrived within a minute of putting in our beverage orders and the kitchen whipped up our pho faster than expected. The waiter brought them out piping hot with a separate plate of bean sprouts, Thai basil, jalapeño and lime to split between us. Hoisin, Sriracha and a jar of chili oil were already all set for us when we sat down. The only thing is once we got our food, we weren't checked on again until a different staff member brought our bill. Starting with a sip of broth, I found it so light, flavorful and not too salty. The noodles were cooked perfectly and still had a firmness to them, rather than being mushy. The steak slices were pretty tender and the tripe was sliced into thin ribbons. I dipped the meats in the chili oil and hoisin to liven them up a bit. I was not a fan of the tendon due to the texture, but that is just my personal preference. I would have liked a greater proportion of beef, with less tendon and tripe, but everyone will have their own opinion there. Onion, green onion and cilantro added bites of freshness, and I topped my bowl with some bean sprouts and Thai basil. Overall, it was a delicious and satisfying bowl of pho. I am torn about my rating. We enjoyed our lunch, but were totally missing the meatballs and I'm questioning whether our pho really included four types of beef. If I hadn't looked online, I never would have known, but I know we were at least partially jipped. 3.25 stars. read more

We ordered two large pho which was $11 (which is really really hard to find these days. Also we ordered shrimp paste on sugar cane. Pho: great flavor and generous portions. This is the place! After some biz in downtown Seattle, we need some refreshment, and Pho is always a good go to. We wanted to avoid Seattle proper due to parking and costs, with the new minimum wage for restaurant workers there. They HAVE to charge more now, to stay in business. Anyhow, we figured Everett would be a Pho rich enforonment and the wife Googled up Pha near us, and this choice looked good. It was! The first clue was the number of Asian customers seated. Lots. Always a good sign. The place is spacious, and clean, with the tables well-spaced. We were seated promptly by a friendly server, and our order was taken as soon as we were ready. We ordered salad rolls to start, without shrimp, as the wife is not a shrimp fan (sob), and there was no issue with that, as the rolls are made to order, which has not been our experience at other places, where they are pre-made and sometimes double wrapped with rice paper making them a hard chew. The accompanying peanut sauce was good and in just the right amount. Lots of smiles and good vibes from the staff. For the main, we ordered Pho. I got the all-in version with tendon and tripe, my usual go-to. The tendon was well cooked. The chili paste, in the covered dish with the spoon, was flavorful and not killer hot. All good. We both got the small, with egg noodles for a buck extra. The small was quite enough for our more or less elderly appetites. Another plus to this location is that it is a biz mall that also features several other tempting food choices. We will be back and perhaps tempted to try one of the other venues. read more

Oh boy! I don't want to write a bad review. I went here going to get a delicious dinner after work. I literally dined in. I ordered their Vermicelli Combo plate that comes with the typical noodles, shrimp, grilled pork and deep fried egg roll, All of it was ok. To be honest, I can taste something odd about my dish. I'm here literally on a business trip in Seattle and I know good Vietnamese food. Especially coming from California with a big population of Vietnamese. In fact I live near a Little Saigon district area in California. VISUALLY my Vietnamese dish looked like the typical vermicelli dish. It smelled typical and beautifully presented. Because I've eaten so many Vietnamese dishes so many times, I recognize the flavors, spices being used and etc. The one thing that stick out for me is this aftertaste. The food had an after taste. I'm so so sorry to have reviewed it this way. It taste like something in your fridge was molded. Even though your foods you cook look fine....if one thing is rotting, it will leave an after taste in everything in the fridge. I mostly tasted it in the egg rolls. It tasted like it stood next to something rotting or it's literally freezer burned too. Sorry, hope your restaurant will improve after my review. The prices have unfortunately skyrocketed as other competition has made their way into the market here in south Everett. I bring this down to two stars because it used to be a go-to of mine because of the pricing. But now there are other places in the area with equal to better quality for the same price. I tried their new rib pho recently and I was sadly disappointed as it was chewy and difficult to eat. Not sure if it was just the piece I received, but nonetheless I guess I had higher expectations since it was $17 before tax and I was a fan of their pho in the past. This is a hard place to review. First off, probably the best pho broth and meat I've had in Seattle, I'm from the SF Bay area so I've been to my share of pho joints, and this place compares well, unlike some other places we've been in the greater Seattle area. The amount of food feels low though. A large is closer to a medium elsewhere. Extras are super expensive. $5 for a glass of limeade? $3.50 for a can of coke? $2 for... extra... onions?!? The quantity issues could probably be solved if addons were cheap but they are pretty expensive, so it's hard to feel like you're completely satisfied at this place if you want a larger bowl of soup. The restaurant uses a full set of mirror walls which I personally hate, it's like eating in a gym. Service was quick and nice. We actually got our food nearly instantly, which was surprising and appreciated. The veg (the plate of thai basil, mung beans, lime etc) was also a lot smaller than other places, which could be an issue if you really like using a lot of veg from that plate. The quality of the veg was fairly high, but not A+. The best veg I've had so far at a pho place is probably family pho in Snohomish. The place also gets hot and stuffy and doesn't seem to have A/C so I would mostly suggest you go elsewhere if it's warm. Pros: - a very good bowl of pho with decent to good veggies, which is by far the most important part of the meal. Broth was in high need of salt, so don't forget to add some if you think the broth lacks flavor! - quick service, not super friendly but that is to be somewhat expected at pho. When I asked to take home my remaining broth, they just gave me a to go container. That is pretty dangerous honestly, haha. I'm good at pouring the soup from the bowl to the to-go container but most people would just spill it everywhere, so it's surprising they didn't offer to pour it themselves. Not a downside, but worth noting if you think you may want to bring some of your broth home. Cons: - even the large size bowl is more like a medium or small, with far less noodles than other places. This might be a pro for you if you are low carb, but you may not be full after eating here if you have a big appetite. - everything that is not a bowl of pho is very expensive, from extra veggies to extra meat, and extremely expensive drinks for what they are ($3.50 for a can of soda or $2 for them to add some extra onions). - Gets hot with no A/C. Patrons dabbing their faces on a hot day to wipe off sweat. This is probably my biggest con because a big part of what makes pho amazing is the contrast between heat and cold. By overloading patrons with a hot soup AND a hot restaurant, it is less enjoyable. Summary: One of the best bowls of pho in the area. Not many noodles in the bowl, which is good unless you are really hungry. Main downsides: restaurant is covered in mirrors. It doesn't have A/C. Be very careful of ordering extras- additional meat/veg and drinks are extremely expensive here!! If you are ok with fewer noodles and don't need extras, and lack of A/C doesn't matter on whatever day you're going there, this is easily a 4 star+ establishment. However if you need any of those things, it's more like a 3.5 star. Cheers. read more
