I have been debating on making a review on this place because I'm a gatekeeper at heart. However, this place deserves to be recognized. I always make it a point to stop in here when I'm in town. Hands down the best Bun Bo Hue I've ever had. The service is great and they are very kind. The smoothies (not pictured) are also very delicious. Only thing that's a downside is the decor; it's a bit outdated but it does not matter to me. The food trumps all of that. 10/10. The location is not ideal with terrible parking, not their fault. The inside could use a lot of sprucing up. The real kicker was all the paper signs taped up everywhere with all their rules. Extremely rude and lacking basic courtesy. I stepped in to place an order but suddenly felt unwell and went straight to the restroom. Almost immediately, someone began banging loudly on the door. When I came out, I was shocked to be yelled at in front of other customers. It was humiliating and deeply disrespectful. Easily one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. A decent pho restaurant along the Bothell Everett highway. The broth is pretty clear and has a more neutral flavor (not as much spices) to it compared to other pho restaurants I've been to. Broth was still really good though and service was fast. Food I got the rare steak and brisket large pho, my favorite. The broth had a pretty neutral, simple flavor which I could appreciate. Ok, so if you're in the area it's a good place to go. I wouldn't drive out of my way for it. I got my order from DoorDash and I was glad my order was correct. We all have had experiences where your order is wrong. The bahn mi had a fabulous crunchy roll. I would have liked more mayonnaise but I have that at home. Great customer service and easily the best Pho in the area. We've been going here since 2018, and glad to see they've been able to stay open through all the pandemic madness. I'm so glad I found Pho Bothell. I love Pho but this little gem is hidden in an old, tiny strip mall that I never get to on the west side of BEH, so I had no idea it was there. I asked for extra basil and I think they gave me an orchard of basil! Wow! Usually, at other places when I ask for extra basil I get 4 or 5 extra leaves, this was at least 2 extra bunches! I love thai basil more than I can say. I ordered Pho to go. All of the veg comes in a pack, as is normal, the noodles are in a separate container as is the meat. I ordered raw steak. When I got home I put everything together in the largest bowl I could find - which was a small tureen! and it was delicious. Each bite was heaven. Oh Pho, how I have missed you! The only thing I missed was lime and cilantro. I don't know if they forgot it or it just doesn't come with their Pho, but I'll ask for it next time - maybe tonight. I came to this place 3 times. My first experience was 50/50. Pho was good but service sucked. Second experience was just like first one. On my third experience i decided that I was never coming back. Finally food arrived, after a rough start, then I asked for limes and the men seemed upset, I felt like a kid when is asking annoyingly to mom " are we there yet, are we there yet, are we there yet!!" So we ate! And here's were the third strike says "hi". Food was not good at all. Pho soup was flavor less and I stared having a stomach ache, almost like food poisoning, i know how that feels, it's awful!! My family felt it too, so we couldn't finish half of our bows. It's ok. It's a small, family run establishment, tucked in the back of a small business park so it's not easy to see from the road. The restaurant was clean and not a lot of ambiance. A fresh cup of ice water was delivered within a minute of my being seated. Standard menu of Vietnamese food ... I keep telling myself I'll try some different dishes, but I always choose pho. This particular broth recipe is ok, but lacks a depth of flavor. It was hot and the fixings were plentiful. The meat was good quality but I would have liked more of it. It's hard to say i'm a regular anywhere in Bothell but the one place I am, is Pho Bothell. They know me as soon as I walk in the door and remember my order and only ask what size i want. I legitimately have sat and cried alone at a table after a break up (pho cures everything, what can i say haha). my usual waiter double checked on me after serving my food AND while i paid just to ask if i was okay. Yeah, the decor isn't upscale but it's a family owned family run operation and the pho is always top notch. What's the problem? You're here to eat not to look at the ambiance. I come at least once a week and the food is always consistently 10/10. In general, i believe that take-out pho is not the same experience as eating in which is true for most places... but the amount of people i see coming in and out to pick up take out orders while i eat speaks to the greatness of the quality of their food. Pho Bothell has gotten me through countless hangovers, colds, and even just regular days when I have an insatiable craving. Choosing to be picky about having to walk up and pay for your food at the counter is your own problem in my opinion. To be quite frank, the quality of pho outweighs any complaints you have about the 'service.' A very solid little pho place tucked back among light-industrial businesses along Bothell-Everett Highway. You're driving past a dozen storefronts to get here: sign company, auto body shops and garages, etc. But there's a bit of parking, and once you're here, it's nice. You walk past the usual paper screen and into a room with some laminate flooring, the usual faux-marble tables, and a flat screen showing ESPN. They respect their local demographic, I imagine, and offer sports coverage to lure the mechanics in for soup. They offer beer and wine, and there's even a bar with one old leather stool. But mostly it's tables, and they seem to be doing a lot more tea and smoothie business than beer and wine. The menu covers all the basics: pho and a couple other soups, banh mi, appetizers, some noodle dishes, a variety of fruit smoothies. Service is quick and friendly, and it's easy to see how they got that way--this place gets packed with all different kinds of people. Local blue collar guys, families, everybody seems to wander in here, and it gets busy. The soup was pungent and flavorful without being too salty. All the ingredients were in good shape. The noodles separated well and had enough chew to them. The meat and veg were fresh, as were the condiments. It's a pretty solid bowl of soup, though it could be more interesting and more intensely flavored. But as an example of good soup made a bit more accessible for people who are new to pho, it's pretty awesome. read more
