This Vietnamese Coffee Flight Was INSANE! I went to Everett (rare, I know) for a delicious visit, where some of my friends and I dove into an incredible spread of authentic Vietnamese food including BBH, fried chicken wings, and Banh Hoi. But the real highlight of the night was the AMAZING Vietnamese coffee flight, and yes, we drank it at 7 PM, because apparently caffeine has no curfew! This may be a bold statement, but it's probably one of the best Vietnamese coffees I've had in Washington. Flavors of the flight included Egg, Pandan, Black Sesame, and Ube. An honorable mention is the BBH because while it's not the best BBH I had, broth was flavorful, the noodles they used were the correct ones (that take a long ass time to cook), came with all the fixings, AND the dish came with a side of fermented shrimp paste. Legit. As for the staff, they were friendly and good sports when we asked them to film us in the restaurant lol. We were there for the soft opening, and the food wasn't that good. We came back a few months later, and unfortunately, it was even worse. The food came out for our party of six, one bowl/meal at a time, with maybe 5-10 minutes between each dish. There were plenty of employees, but the service was not very helpful. They had already run out of one of their specialties at 11 AM. It was not very busy on a Saturday lunch time. The appetizers were tasteless. The peanut sauce for the spring rolls was terrible, and the fried chicken wings were crunchy but had very little flavor. They also skimmed on the vegetables that come with the pho and bun bo hue. My daughter and I stopped into Quan Ong Sau for lunch. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Quan Ong Sau does not offer any alcohol at all; however, upon entrance, one will find a coffee and tea bar. Indoors is decorated with colorful flowers and traditional cultural figurines. Large parties can easily be accommodated. While deciding on our lunch choices, I sipped on a Vietnamese Iced Black Coffee for $7. My daughter sipped on a Mango Matcha Latte for $8. We shared Fresh Spring Rolls (qty 2) for $8: lettuce, pickled carrots, daikon, bean sprouts, basil, mint and rice vermicelli wrapped in rice paper. I ordered the Grilled Chicken but was served the Grilled Pork instead. For my meal I ordered the Chicken Pho with dry/small noodles for $17: chicken breast and sliced onion in a savory broth served with cilantro, green onion, bean sprouts, basil, lime and jalapeno. I enjoyed my lunch choice. My daughter ordered the Spicy Beef Noodle Bun Bo Hue for $20: spicy beef broth, beef slices, pork hock, pork blood, pork ham, rice noodles and fresh herbs. My daughter thought her lunch choice was decent, not tasty enough to order ever again though. Service was painfully slow. Our drinks were served 15 minutes apart from each other and that was only after reminding our server twice. First impressions matter and in this case, I do not care enough to return again. read more

We came here on a Friday evening on our way to North Cascades National Park and are so glad that we stopped here. The dining area is huge and the place had a trickle of customers coming in. The food came out very fast and everyone loved their dishes. I ordered the veggie and tofu pho though they were out of vegetable broth so they gave me a choice between beef and chicken broth (and I understand this can be prohibitive for purely vegan folks so something to consider here). We also ordered an order of egg rolls, grilled tofu vermicelli, grilled boneless chicken plate, and a coconut Ube cloud. Everyone really enjoyed their food. The chicken was little but on the overcooked side but it had really good seasoning and was marinated well. We chatted a bit with staff members and learned that this place recently opened in the past year taking over a Chinese restaurant that struggled during COVID. The space is clean, well organized and beautiful. Overall we were very happy with our food here and would definitely return if we were ever headed out that way again. read more

Can't believe it's taken me this long to discover this restaurant! I've been searching for good Vietnamese food up north since moving to Everett 6 years ago, so I'm glad we finally have one. Not only do they serve authentic dishes like Bun Bo Hue (Hue spicy beef noodle soup) and Com Tam (broken rice), but they also have delicious pho and Vietnamese coffee. The restaurant is a pretty large space and there was plenty of room to host a birthday party as well, so this could be a great event venue too! My friend got the vegetarian pho and he said there were a good amount of options firs vegetarians, which is kind of hard to find sometimes. I got the P1 which allows up to 3 choices of meat, but I got meatballs and rare steak with I requested on the side. It's uncommon to see fresh flat pho noodles so of course I had to indulge and I'm so glad that I did! The broth was flavorful and meat was tender and I was able to cook it to my liking with the broth still being hot. My friend also got a pandan coffee and it was amazing! They just rolled out a brunch menu with bo ne (breakfast skillet) so I'll definitely be back to try it soon! read more

Very good Vietnamese food! I had their traditional broken rice with grilled chicken combo and it was pretty good. The chicken was seasoned and cooked well. There was a nice char to it. I enjoyed the broken rice, Chinese sausage, and pork skin that they prepared too. The pork egg cake was made well too! My complaint was their fish sauce. It definitely tasted different than the traditional fish sauce. I didn't prefer it. The ambiance is good. The restaurant is pretty spacious and there is great lighting! I stopped by just to have coffee with a friend, and I was impressed that the drinks were actually pretty good. The food looked good too. The coffee was rich and strong, and the black sesame foam is top tier. However, when we didn't finish our drinks (only drinking about 1/4 of the drink) we asked for to-go cups. In pouring my drink, I discovered a hair that was either already in my drink or in the cup they gave me. I notified the waiter, and was only offered 10% off my drink. We walked in and the first impression was actually great--the waiting area is modern, clean, and inviting. They offer coffee and tea, and the menu presentation up front is clear and well done. However, things changed once we were seated. Even though the restaurant was only about 15% full, we waited around 7 minutes to be seated. Inside, the atmosphere felt completely different--older, worn chairs, no music, and menus that were wrinkled and falling apart on clipboards. Service was unfortunately lacking. After sitting for about 10 minutes without being acknowledged, my wife had to get up and find someone to take our order. There appeared to be 2-3 servers on with only about 10 customers (around 4 parties), so it was surprising. The food itself was decent, but not without issues. My bone-in rib was very chewy, and I wasn't given a knife. Water refills were also overlooked, with a few glasses sitting empty for a while. Tried to order a banh mi for lunch but it wasn't available, which was a bit disappointing. So we ended up getting the chicken fried rice, fried shrimp rolls, spring rolls, and a side of broth. The broth was very flavorful, one of the better ones I've had in the area. Spring rolls were a good size. The chicken fried rice was good, though the chicken itself was heavily seasoned (better suited for a rice plate) which made the fried rice a little on the saltier side. The main issue was with the shrimp rolls. We watched our server accidentally drop one, then bring us the plate with only four (out of five) without saying anything. We waited for her to acknowledge it or let us know a replacement was coming, but she didn't. It took a while to flag someone down, and they confirmed what happened and said they'd remake it. Accidents happen, but it would've been nice for the server to at least acknowledge it instead of acting like nothing happened. The replacement didn't come out until about 30+ minutes later. Finally made it to Quan Ong Sau, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Fresh noodles at no extra charge? Say no more. The beef was incredibly tender, the broth was rich and aromatic, and the ribs literally slid right off the bone. The combo rice plate was just as impressive--you can tell the pork chop was cooked to order, juicy and full of flavor. We were in the Everett area buying a car with my hubby and mother-in-law, and our dealer picked up food and drinks for us from Quán Ông Sáu such a great choice. We tried the grilled pork bánh mì, and it was packed with meat and super filling. The pork was flavorful, nicely grilled, and everything still tasted fresh even as takeout. Definitely no skimping here. The drinks were a highlight. The egg coffee was rich and creamy without being too sweet, and the ube coconut cloud was refreshing, lightly sweet, and so good. Perfect if you like unique coffee drinks. We didn't get to try the hot food yet, but I've heard their bún bò Huế is amazing and as a Vietnamese soup lover, that's already on my must-try list. I really wanted to like Quan Ong Sau, but the experience was disappointing overall. The staff were genuinely kind and attentive, which honestly was the biggest highlight of the visit. Unfortunately, the food and execution didn't live up to expectations. About half the menu was unavailable, which is hard to understand, especially on a weekend at 6pm. Not having bún bò Huế at that time feels like a major miss. The egg rolls came out cold and were mostly taro with very little meat, which made them feel more filler than flavor. The pho broth was extremely bland, to the point where I had to drown it in sriracha just to get any depth of flavor. The one standout item was the ube coconut cloud. It was genuinely delicious, but at $8 it felt overpriced, especially since the cup was mostly ice. With so many strong Vietnamese options in the Seattle metro area, it's hard not to compare. Between the menu shortages and inconsistent food quality, I'm not sure how long this place can last as-is. They really need to get their act together if they want to survive in such a competitive food scene. read more

Upon entering the establishment, it was very clean and welcoming. The restaurant was spacious with tons of tables for small and big party. It did not feel overly crowded as each tables has a good spacing between them. The customer service was really attentive, staff will check in on you numerous of times to make sure that your water is filled, order is ready and etc. The food was decently portioned for the price. You definitely get the bang for your buck here. The wings was perfectly caramelized with the fish sauce that was piping hot when it came out. The rice dish was perfectly seasoned and charred, and they give you plenty so that you don't leave starving or feeling like you're being ripped off. One only critique for the negative star is that as we were devouring the food, one item fell short that made the whole dish unpleasant was the scallion oil. This has never happened before but the chef was heavy handed with the salt so the rice tasted super salty as it was drizzled on the rice so that kind ruined the dish. My other pet peeve is the Google review, in exchange for the 10% discount. I didn't take the offer because I didn't want the review to be skewed but I guess those reviews should be taken with the grain of salt, as with the scallion oil. There's not many good Vietnamese selections in Everett that meets the food, service and ambiance standard but this place definitely meet all the standards and beyond. My family came here yesterday (Friday evening 6:30pm) for our mom's birthday. I was excited to try it out after looking at their website. Food is your typical Vietnamese offerings and was as expected. The space was big and spacious and parking was easy. The young "front" service staff were super nice, kind and obviously inexperienced but they really tried. They seem to also be very understaffed. We were extremely patient knowing this. Long wait on food. They ran out of chicken wings and the seafood pho (on a Friday evening main dinner hour). There were no utensils or napkins for one of our tables and we must've of asked for them on 3 different occasions. We eventually self-served and walked around to other tables to grab what we needed including condiments. We were not given any plates for our appetizer dishes so we ate on our napkins which we grabbed ourselves from a nearby counter. It was tough because while service was awful, you can see the staff struggling to keep up. It was such a mixed and awkward feeling. Like I want to like this place, but they really have a lot to work out. I personally won't be coming out all the way there again considering there are plenty decent Vietnamese restaurants around. Came here right before they opened. Was seated very quickly right away. Place is very well lit and temperature just right. Ambiance was very nice also. Love their drink menu which consists of very unique drinks but with simple ingredients. Ordered the Ube coffee which had the right balance of Ube to Coffee ratio. Ordered the sizzling beef platter. This platter was loaded with so much flavor and spices. Dipping into the sauce with the baguette bread adds a layer of sweet and saltiness to it. Beef platter also had a lot of beef containing in it and was cooked to perfection. What I appreciate was how you definitely get a lot for what you're paying for, which this place does not shy away from. Level of service was also great and was also caring throughout the meal. This place, which is conveniently next to the hospital, makes long hospital visits worth it just for this place. Came to this new Vietnamese restaurant in Everett during their grand opening and we're so impressed! The energy was amazing as we got to enjoy a traditional dragon dance, which made the experience extra special for the whole family. QOS rice platter was absolutely delicious. I was excited to try out a new Vietnamese restaurant since there isn't many that I enjoy north of Seattle. The restaurant was clean, had old chairs, spacious and the cultural decor was a cute touch. Definitely has potential to be better. The staff were friendly but not as attentive. We waited a LONG time for our orders. We were only made aware from the beginning that the chicken wings were going to take a while and will probably come out after we get our main entrees which was fine with us. However, we didn't know that it would take 50min-1hr to get our entrees. Which I don't think is a normal wait time. I totally understand that it's their soft opening but it ruined the experience for me regardless of that how the food tasted. We ordered the pandan coffee, sesame coffee, house chicken wings, bun bo hue, and beef combo pho. We ended up canceling our chicken wing order since took so long to get our main entrees. The drinks and main dishes were good but I can't say it was worth the wait. Cost wise, it was more on the more expensive side for Vietnamese. We will most likely wait for a while before we come back. Since their opening I have come here no less than 10 times. Either myself or other in our party always get pho and it was surprising at first because it comes with a fresh noodle - which is a wide noodle with a bouncy texture - and to me it is better than the regular stick noodle. The brother is very rich in flavor and is one of the best I've tasted. Now they ask which noodle option you would like as some may be thrown off by the noodle, but I would recommend trying the fresh noodle option. Their portions are large! The pho does not leave me wanting more as I am an always satisfied/full whereas I am still a little snackish after other pho restaurants. They do not short on the meat. The rice dishes could most definitely feed 2. The drink menu at QOS is full of amazing drinks, I personally am a fan of coffee and I've tried every flavor. I am biased towards coconut flavoring so the pandan and coconut are my top two choices. The coconut comes with roasted coconut chips which adds a some crunchy texture to the rich mix of the coconut cream and the coffee, whereas the pandas is smooth and has the best flavor to me. The ube and egg are also very good. I always get two coffees when I come and eat here. One in the beginning and one at the end/to go. Service has been good, at times I have waited a little long for them to come take our order or to bring us an extra set of utensils but nothing to bring my review down. The ambience is nice, there is good spacing between tables and the natural lighting that comes in through the dining room is very nice and warm. All of the staff is friendly as well. This has quickly become my new favourite restaurant in Everett! From the street, it looks fairly understated, but the entrance opens into a calm, elegant space with a Japanese garden feel. The high ceilings and natural light create a relaxed, airy atmosphere. It's the kind of place that would work well for a reception or small event, and parking was easy. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed, which is always a good sign! The restaurant was very clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our meal. The owner stopped by our table a few times to check in, which felt welcoming without being intrusive. I came with my hubby and some friends. We ordered the grilled tofu vermicelli bowl, grilled tofu broken rice platter, grilled chicken broken rice platter, and the QOS signature back rib pho with golden egg. Everything was AMAZING. The tofu and chicken were perfectly grilled--crispy on the outside and tender inside. Flavours were well balanced. The one friend that ordered the pho got it with fresh rice noodles, which are made in-house daily, and he absolutely loved it. The presentation was thoughtful and the ingredients tasted very fresh. They're also very accommodating of dietary restrictions and offer strong vegetarian and vegan options, including vegan fish sauce, which I appreciated. Prices are super reasonable, especially given the portion sizes and quality of the food. Before leaving, we stopped by the coffee bar and ordered the egg coffee, a matcha soy latte, and a matcha oat milk latte. The attention to detail stood out. The egg coffee is finished with a caramelised top using a blow torch, and the matcha was carefully sifted and mixed with a traditional bamboo whisk. I grew up in Japan and took tea ceremony, so I noticed and appreciated the care that went into it. As a Vietnamese foodie, I can confidently say the food here is good and authentic. We recently found out there's a new spot near our home, so we decided to stop by and order three dishes to go. Right away, we loved the atmosphere , newly renovated, clean, and welcoming. The staff was friendly and provided great customer service. We ordered the Bún Bò Huế, Phở Đặc Biệt, and Cơm Tấm, and everything was flavorful and well-executed. The flavors were definitely there. One piece of feedback for the owners: the portion sizes felt a bit small for the price point. Compared to other local Vietnamese restaurants, the protein and veggie portions were on the lighter side. Our pho, got half a meatball cut in half, 2 slices of brisket, a few strips of tripes, and 3 slices of the steak which is very little for the price point. I hope this is something you'll take into consideration, as I'd love to see this place succeed and be around for years to come. Bad customer service. The restaurant was extremely understaffed: one employee was making coffee, seating customers, handling checkout, and cleaning tables all at the same time. There were plenty of empty tables available, yet customers still could not be seated. We were first told the wait would be 10 minutes, then 15 minutes, but we ended up standing and waiting for over 30 minutes with no apology. There was no waitlist system or numbering; customers basically had to keep track themselves of who was first or second in line. In total, it took 45 minutes from the time we walked in just to place our order, and nearly an hour to receive our food, and the restaurant was not even full. Completely unacceptable. We understand the place being understaffed, but 2 out of the 3 staff members were dismissive, and no apology was ever offered for the terrible experience. If you can't hire enough staff and train them properly, then you shouldn't be in the restaurant business wasting people's time like this. Food: The Spicy Beef Noodle (Bun Bo Hue) was bland, flavorless. The noodles were way too soft and tasted like they had been cooked multiple times or cooked in batches and microwaved instead of freshly blanched. Couldn't even finish it. Also ordered beef short ribs. The portions were small and not worth the prices. These are Bellevue-level prices, but this is not Bellevue. As a clearly blonde white American girl! I always tell people I identify as Vietnamese! I love the food, culture and have visited Vietnam 7 times over the years. This restaurant is the closest thing to Vietnam i have ever experienced. The food is amazing and menu offers traditional Vietnamese dishes! The biggest win for my family is the lemon grass drink! That most likely seems odd because their food really does steal the show! It takes the cake for us though because my 10 year old son fell in love with a lemon grass limeade drink in Ho Chi Minh City! He fell so in love with it the first time he visited Vietnam that the second time we had to stay at the same hotel just so he could get it again. I searched high and low in seattle for any restaurant that had anything close to that drink for him. No place existed. Until here! This new hidden gem in Everett of all places! Has my sons long lost craving! On top of that it not only has all the missing southern Vietnamese dishes that you can't just find anywhere! Amazing food and amazing service! Yes you might have to wait a bit because they are busy as hell and great food takes time to prepare! It's worth it 10 fold! This is a great new authentic Vietnamese spot in Everett. The restaurant is newly remodeled with a vibrant modern touch. We got the Shaking Beef and the Special Broken Rice dish. Both dishes were presented very aesthetically and tasted flavorful. An area for improvement that we experienced was that certain food on our dishes were mild when presented. The shaking beef would have been better if the beef came out warmer/hotter. The egg patty and pork chop on the rice dish was also mild. We also tried the coconut ube cloud & guava lychee drink from the cafe and both drinks were delicious! Unfortunately forgot to snap pics of the drinks. Overall, this place is definitely worth a try and we will definitely revisit. Being a new business, they are working through areas for improvement, but I'm excited to see a Vietnamese restaurant and cafe with this type of ambience and authenticity in the Everett area. read more
