Fantastic donuts! I can't wait to be in the area again to get donuts again. So fresh so delicious

I've been here many times, and unfortunately it is not my favorite. Unless you are here first thing in the morning getting fresh donuts I would skip this place. The workers and service is a 10/10 but the donuts are ehh from the experiences I have had. I genuinely think this might just be my taste but they feel a little bit too heavy. Definitely worth a try though to see if they are for you!

Absolutely love that the donuts are made fresh in house. Our favorites are always readily available and delicious. They are very friendly and the service is fast. The shop offers a great variety of donuts and donut holes. Very cute store. One of our favorite donut places for sure!

This is a classic doughnut shop! I have been in search of a place offering the classic style of doughnuts. Nothing extravagant, just great eats! Wheeling has been on my test list for months. I am so glad I tried it. They are made just like the old days. Raised cinnamon rolls, apple fritters with a crusty outside and a buttery interior. Blueberry cake doughnuts packed full of flavor. Ensuring the flavors are there without being overpoweringly sweet. I ate a lot of these doughnuts in the day that I had them. I purchased 8 in total, but if I would have gone with a dozen, I am sure they would all disappear. The service was friendly, quick, and without issue. I look forward to returning.

I love being able to support small businesses like this one. The donuts were delicious and I would definitely go back! They had a good variety of cake type donuts and yeast donuts. We were there at 8am on a Sunday morning and did not need to wait in a long line. Was very happy with the variety and taste of donuts! Will return!

The best donuts in the northwest suburbs! Once you have one donut, you must be careful cause you can eat the whole box. These donuts are delicious fluffy we can't get anything close around this area as donuts, hands down.

Yummy donuts. Loved the "buttermilk" which is like an old fashioned with a crispy crust.. would definitely come back if I'm in the area!

More donuts baked fresh very early morning daily

When your son don't want you to get donuts for him but wants you to drive him to the store and get it himself... it's clearly a sign that they have very good donuts. I have a sweet tooth and being a good baker as a hobby, I seek out good bakeries. Having to drive up to Wheeling for baseball this winter, thanks to my fellow Yelpers this is one donut bakery you don't want to miss. We been there a few times now and while we have our favorites, they are all really good, meaning soft inside, crisp outside as it's just pulled out of the kitchen, fresh, and taste good. These are simply not dry and do not feel like it's been sitting out there for 24 hours, like some donut places. They bake everything fresh daily, very early morning. People preorder by boxes and love them. Check out the pics I took, we even had a tasting test one visit and it was so fun. We were just so happy! We have some favorites and is hard to deviate to try the others, as there are so many. We'll be back again to try the others We truly love the buttermilk, French cruller, old fashioned, sugar twist donut, cinnamon rolls, chocolate cake. Honestly you can't go wrong with any of them... Enjoy! They take credit card but prefer cash if less than $5.

We ended up getting a dozen mini donuts for about $18. We ordered the glazed, chocolate, cinnamon sugar, strawberry shortcake, toasted almond, and caramel. These donuts are fresh upon order and topped with whatever flavors you'd like. We intended to enjoy our findings at home, but once we smelled the donuts and felt their warmth it was over with - we couldn't wait. I'm not sure anything beats doughy fresh donuts. Out of all the flavors, I enjoyed the classic cinnamon sugar but I was surprised by how much I liked the strawberry shortcake. I couldn't help but to think these are the perfect items to bring to the office or event. Not only are they absolutely delicious, but the portion sizes are much more practical in a sharable setting than regular size donuts. No prices anywhere other than the boxed goods or coffee signs. 4% fee for using a credit card which I get, but have it posted better. Couple small signs I caught over by the fresh stuff saying price tags reflect cash price, but yet didn't see prices anywhere other than on shelves by boxed stuff. Have prices posted. French silk pie was very thick and not very chocolaty. No one really cared for it, def would not get again. I looked back at receipt after I left and see a random charge for "open retail" for $3.12, no clue what that is. So was over charged for something I didn't get.

I have been going to Deerfields Bakery for decades; I just realized that it is not "Deerfield" or…read more"Deerfield's", but "Deerfields". Before we fell in love with the mousse cakes of another bakery that's just minutes from home, we used to order most of our birthday cakes from Deerfields, and picked up at the location in Deerfield. In addition to cakes, they specialize in a full line of baked goods, including pastries, cookies, cupcakes, pies, danishes, donuts, muffins, bagels, and more. Recently, I needed to order a small 4" cake for the first time ever, since all of us didn't want a large cake, even a 6" cake would be too much, because I am usually the one to finish all the cake leftovers. Also, there were only about 3 days for the bakery to make the cake, our other bakery needs 7 days, and probably would not make a 4" cake. I knew that Deerfields could do it in 48 hours. I was pleased that I could order on their website, although their choices for 4" cakes were very limited. I picked a velvet cake with cream cheese filling and buttercream frosting ($30.95). However, it has 4 layers and serves 6-8, we would still have leftovers. This time, I chose to pick up at the Deerfields in Buffalo Grove, where I had visited a couple of times, and I like this location much better than the one in Deerfield. It is like a storybook bakery to me! The bakery is picture perfect inside and out, visually appealing with lots of vibrant colors and beautiful displays. When I visited, the spacious bakery was festively decorated, which was quite charming. There's also a café inside, with some tables on the first floor, and the entire cozy second floor dedicated to café dining. The café serves breakfast and lunch Wednesday through Sunday. Like many other bakeries, Deerfields is closed on Mondays. On this weekday when I came around noon, the bakery was bustling. I would give this experience 5 stars for both the cake we ordered and the excellent service we received, especially from Greg, who greeted me as soon as I walked in. The customer service team had emailed me suggestions for decorating the small cake, and I replied with my specific requirements. However, it seemed that my reply had not been read. I needed the center of the top filled with more roses so the design would not look like a wreath. In the future, I will follow up with a phone call to confirm the details. One staff member from the bake room (Brianca?) came out and explained that it could be done, but I would need to wait an hour because all the bakers had just gone on break. I agreed and said I would return to pick it up. Just as I was about to leave, Greg came out from the bake room with the good news that a baker was available to do it right away. In the end, I only spent about 10 to 15 minutes waiting, which I used to take photos around the shop. The cake turned out beautiful and delicious, moist and velvety. I myself didn't care that much for the thick buttercream frosting, but the cream cheese filling was quite good. Since we had the cake after a big dinner, we all opted for small pieces. However, all of us didn't mind eating leftover cakes the next day. When we crave for a more traditional cake in the future, we will definitely return to Deerfields again!

There was plenty of seating, the tabletops were a little dirty, the floor had crumbs, but nothing gross. We sampled a couple different chocolate pieces and as far as I can tell, they were good. I say that only because I'm not a huge chocolate person, and I don't have a huge gauge on what's good vs great. Since our main purpose of the visit was for donuts, we went ahead and orderes half dozen "premium" donuts. Turns out, the box that was gifted to us was a custom mix of their premium selections, which are fancier donut creations that require a bit more finesse and efforts for them to create.
