Slightly hidden in a plaza, you'll find this little tea shop sort of nestled in. Really beautiful when you walk in. They have it decorated with a faux cherry blossom tree and other faux greenery. They almost try to transport you onto an outside patio, even in these brutal winters. Service is not with a smile, but they offer a decent menu, so you just have to look forward to a good drink haha. We shared two drinks. Mine was the coconut coffee that could be lightly sweetened. I wanted a Vietnamese coffee since that's why we went but they couldn't make any modifications. Really enjoyed my visit to Umbrella Tea House. We stopped by pretty late looking for something caffeine-free, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions and gave great recommendations. I ended up going with the strawberry milk, and it was so good! It was light, refreshing, and just the right amount of sweet. The space is clean and cozy, with a chill vibe that's great for catching up with friends or even getting some work done. We came because we saw it in passing and checked out their menu online. Lots of interesting teas we hadn't had anywhere else, so we stopped on on our way home. We were wowed with the decor and soft lighting in addition to the great drink options. Drinks were ready very quickly and they were beautiful. We were in the area for errands and was craving for boba. Found this place because it had high reviews but unfortunately it was disappointing. Boba - 1 star, no QQ-ness to it at all, the 5-minute boba that people can cook at home tastes better. Grass jelly - 1 star, not the home-made style, more like the one you get in a can. Drinks - we got the Ube coffee and brown sugar milk, 4 stars, hard to mess up brown sugar milk, ube coffee was good with strong coffee taste. Atmosphere and decor inside are nice and clean, plenty of seating. If you are looking for a nice spot for a cold drink and meet-up, I think this place fits the bill. Umbrella Tea House has quickly become one of my favorite spots to work and relax. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful--cozy, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. I spent a few hours there working, and it was the perfect environment: free WiFi, comfy seating, and plenty of space to spread out everything I needed. Service was quick, they were very attentive open to suggestions and recommendations. He even offered to make us off menu items if we wanted it. They also have games available if you're just hanging out, which adds such a fun touch! As for the drinks--wow. I started with the brown sugar milk tea (delicious), and had to come back with my family to try more. The ube coffee, taro milk tea, and ultimate ace milk tea were all hits. Every drink was packed with flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. So glad to finally have a legit milk tea and coffee house in the area. Though the ambiance is nice, the location is objectively difficult and hard to get too. Me and my girlfriend got the lychee milk tea and the brown sugar milk tea. We forgot to add boba to the lychee and they added it for free. My girlfriend got food bad food poisoning and my stomach has been acting up all day. Yes, they tasted good, but there was definitely something wrong as my girlfriend pointed out "the boba tastes weird." Never coming back. read more

Cute ambiance. Menu offers coffee, boba drinks, bubble waffle, and other treats. We have been several times, even talked to the owner when they opened to congratulate them on the opening. They are open late which is a plus in the 'burbs. However the past two times we came here (4/1/2026 being the latest one), our orders were not as good. Our bubble waffle was made a little bit burnt (no longer soft), and our drink was made super sweet. I asked for half sweet but it still came loaded with sweetness the brown sugar that came with the boba was at the bottom of the drink so despite the mango slushie made with half sweetness, the whole drink was still super sweet because of too much brown sugar. I think staff should be trained better in making items. That's all. Just better quality control and staff training would make our experience here a little better. read more

Super cute interior. We got the pink peach matcha and the matcha coconut cloud. It was my first time here so I asked if the pink peach matcha was too sweet, I was told it wasn't and they were right! No adjustments needed, just make sure to stir it very well. It tastes like a white peach drink. As for the matcha coconut cloud, it was really tasty but a little on the sweeter side for me! I heard a lot of exciting things about this place and the interior is so cute so I was really hopeful about my drink! However, I was pretty disappointed. The ube cheesecake was great but they barely had any sweets stocked (on a midday on a Tuesday). I got the earl grey milk tea with cream cheese which tasted as you would expect but also watered down and barely any sweetness with 75%. It didn't have anything special to it. The cream cheese foam wasn't blended well and would get chunks of it in the sips. The service is quick and inside is beautiful to look at but overall, the drinks aren't anything exciting. read more

The place is really cute. I ordered the ube coffee for myself and mango smoothie for my kids. I asked the girl at the front how sweet the coffee was and said the mix for it was premade and had some sweetness to it and I could add milk to dilute the sweetness. I didn't opt for the milk cause I didn't think it was going to be too sweet but it was ridiculously super sweet- I couldn't finish it. The mango smoothie was ok. new favorite boba shop! so far i've tried the grapefruit lychee jelly, ultimate ace milk tea, and strawberry matcha milk - all are delicious! i got the strawberry matcha milk with oat milk - i could equally taste the strawberry and matcha. the bits of strawberry at the bottom of the drink were my fav. the sweetness of the grapefruit lychee jelly was ideal for me - not too sweet nor bitter, and they give you a good amount of jelly. the ultimate ace tasted like a solid standard milk tea with a variety of toppings. the boba was cooked/tasted perfectly which not every boba shop executes well. can't wait to try the other drinks and maybe eventually the bubble waffle! read more

Their Vietnamese coffee has been good from both locations I received. Drinks are good. This location feels like they have more drinks on the menu.
