On our way home from the Botanic garden we were due for a sweet treat so we found the Mini Donut Factory on the map and headed over. We ended up getting a dozen mini donuts for about $18. We ordered the glazed, chocolate, cinnamon sugar, strawberry shortcake, toasted almond, and caramel. These donuts are fresh upon order and topped with whatever flavors you'd like. We intended to enjoy our findings at home, but once we smelled the donuts and felt their warmth it was over with - we couldn't wait. I'm not sure anything beats doughy fresh donuts. Out of all the flavors, I enjoyed the classic cinnamon sugar but I was surprised by how much I liked the strawberry shortcake. I couldn't help but to think these are the perfect items to bring to the office or event. Not only are they absolutely delicious, but the portion sizes are much more practical in a sharable setting than regular size donuts. The shop itself is small and cozy, with friendly service. The donuts themselves are hot and chewy. They are the same base regardless of the topping, but fortunately the base is good. The flavor of the toppings is similar to what you'd find at a generic donut shop. They aren't very interesting, probably because of the limitations of what you can prepare for fresh fried mini donuts. But, are practical for the product that is being prepared. Okay, I'm going to be honest in saying that I had sticker shock when I saw the size of these mini donuts and the minimum $7 for 6 price tag that came with them. But after trying them, I totally get it. It's not the "mini" that makes these a hit but the MADE-TO-ORDER, hot-out-the-fryer aspect that make these a hit. After your order is put in, you see the machine pumping out the exact number you ordered. Then each donut is individually glazed/sprinkled/etc. And then they're in your hands, still hot with the glaze still dripping. It's like the rare chances when Krispy Kreme let's you buy a donut straight off their conveyor belt but you get that every time at Mini Donut Factory and with more variety. We enjoyed the glazed, cinnamon, and iced varieties. The cereal options intrigued us but ended up adding too much crunchiness from the dry cereal but the donut itself was consistently soft and delicious regardless of topping. After it cools down, the donut still holds its chewiness but at that point, it's hard to justify the $1+ per mini donut. For that reason, it feels more like a 3.5/5 occasional treat. Add in great service and staff and that's how Mini Donut Factory is a solid 4/5. read more

They have such cool donuts ranging from their donut of the day, to a French toast donut. To be honest, their donuts are a little pricy, but are amazing so it's so worth to get!
