Delicious soft serve match and sesame swirl for $6 (a little pricey when you think of soft serve - but it's definitely worth it). They served it up so quickly that I blinked and our cones were ready. It has a nice 'not too sweet' taste and so refreshing for sure. I haven't tried any of their other items, but I think I definitely will try some more of their desserts in the future.
After a long day, this drink from releaf helped me a lot. The quality of the matcha was very tasty and the strawberry purée matched perfectly. Will be grabbing a matcha drink from this place whenever I visit the marketplace!
I am a huge fan of anything matcha! I finally tried their Matcha Latte and it was delicious! Very smooth, not too sweet and creamy. A refreshing drink on a warm day. I will be back to try their soft serve ice cream!
** soft serve review ** Big time big back fan of releaf. It's been around since I was a kid and continues to have my favorite matcha soft serve. They also had a black sesame soft serve and asked if I could sample it before committing to it lol. Thankfully the staff member said I could have a sample and I decided to get the swirl (matcha and black sesame). This dessert spot also offers coffees, teas, and ice cream. It's located in the mitsuwa food court and I recommend saving room to try it! Even if your stomach is full, like mine was... I still found a way to find room for it =P

This shop is in the food court of Mitsuwa market place right next to the curry spot. My husband and I love this place, and have tried almost every drink on the menu since moving to Schaumburg. We have liked every single drink that we tried although the yuzu is a little on the sweeter side for us when you get it cold. They also sell soft ice-cream in a cone or a bowl. I had the sesame and matcha swirl and it was delicious. Highly recommend stopping by.
I got lucky and there wasn't a line. Got the Yuzu Matcha and loved: (1) it doesn't have milk of any kind (2) clean flavors (3) it was just sweet enough (not overly so). Typically I prefer simpler beverages, either just matcha & water or matcha, water, and a little unsweetened soy milk. Quick and easy to place an order with the cashier. It's part of the food court in Mitsuwa so there's not much to say about the ambiance other than it's rad to be able to roam around picking up items from the different vendors. Definitely want to come back and try the soft serve.
Releaf is inside Mitsuwa's food court area. They make the best matcha lattes ever. I ordered the matcha latte soy boba and I will have to say it was the best boba/matcha latte I have ever had! I am honestly very particular about getting an authentic strong matcha latte and they hit the spot plus perfect little tapioca pearls. I literally crave this all the time so I can't wait for the next time I can go. Highly recommend trying them! :)
Their soft serve in matcha and black sesame flavors were both very very good. Matcha is a bit more bitter and the young kids don't like it as much but they all loved the black sesame flavor. Best in both around the area.
We always get drinks from here. Our family faves are matcha milkshake, matcha drink and milk tea. The boba is a baby size, which my kids love! It's easy to swallow, and there's no need to chew! You definitely need to go here when you're at Mitsuwa.

Releaf is located in the cutest Japanese marketplace, tucked away in the corner amid other restaurants. I got their Black Sesame and Matcha mixed soft serve on a cone. Honestly, there isn't much to say except that it was delicious. The quantity is really great, swirl was aesthetically pleasing to look at, and you can taste both the matcha and black sesame. The staff said that the soft serve is definitely stronger compared to the ice cream scoop. They do serve drinks during their normal operating hour, but after like 6/7pm, they only sell soft serve and ice cream after those times.
Everytime I go inside mitsuwa marketplace, I always end my meal with their ice cream! I love their matcha soft serve. My friend decided to try their lychee scooped ice cream which surprisingly was so tasty. The flavor was a mix between in a natural flavor, but also candy like. The matcha parfait, we wished had more ice cream to pair with the many cake pieces throughout the cup. This is becaise the cake was a bit on the drier side as well as in addition to the red bean paste which can further dry the palate. Love the two cookie toppings for the crunch contrast and the mochi being super soft and chewy. Strawberries were a fresh addition to this sweet dessert!
Line moved fast. The flavors of matcha and black sesame were perfect. Prices were inexpensive. Service was great.
They have oat milk! I can't have dairy so I was very glad to find out they had oatmilk as an alternative. Got a matcha latte and it was very nice. Card accepted, nice menu with tea and coffee options. Ice cream as well. Drinks made promptly. read more
Ever since coming back to Illinois to visit family, I have made a stop to Releaf to order my Vietnamese coffee. It the best spot for Vietnamese coffee in Illinois! No other place has come close to Releaf. It is a perfect mixture with chicory coffee and sweet condensed milk. Every order I have received had the been created consistently the same from day 1. I have been going here for years and I enjoy every cup of Vietnamese I order from Releaf. The service is amazing and the staff members have been very nice and had my order correct every time. It is a small coffee / dessert spot in Mitsuwa and always busy. When there is a line in front, follow the crowd. You know there is something good in there. The wait is always worth it! Yesterday, my brother and I ordered 2 Vietnamese coffees. My brother and I loved our Vietnamese coffees and tasted excellent. The sweet level was perfect. I enjoy mixing the chicory coffee and condensed milk before drinking it. When I get that light brown color during mixing I know that is the right time to drink the coffee. The line moves quickly. Unfortunately for others in the line, the frozen treats were limited to the soft serve. The black sesame and matcha swirl was delicious and the employees are so good at making the swirls. I got it in the cup, but it looks even cuter in the cone. Perfect swirls! read more

The first time we tried to come here the line was crazy so we ended up going to the B-bee Crepe place in the same food court at Mitsuwa. They also ran out of boba one time which was weird because Mitsuwa sells tapioca pearls. When we finally came on a day with nothing in our way, we were each able to try a different milk tea. We got: * Hokkaido milk tea. Tasted creamy and rich in flavor. 10/10 * Okinawa milk tea classic brown sugar milk tea. Perfect sweetness.10/10 * Taro milk tea 7.5/10 I was pleasantly surprised that all of the teas were creamy, rich, flavorful and not too sweet. They all came with mini and regular sized boba. Out of over 20 bubble tea places we tried in the past few years, this one ranked 2nd which is pretty impressive. We loved the different size bobas since that isn't something we had seen at any other place. Can't wait to try it again. read more

4 words summarize this review at best. Get the Matcha Parfait! At $6.50 a pop, it's worth the expense. The Matcha soft serve is the highlight but the add-ons complement the taste and textures without making the dessert too sweet. Once assembly has come to completion, the Matcha parfait is a beautifully finished product. The lines can be inconsistent depending on the time of day. My first visit I had 2 people in front of me. My last visit was Memorial Day weekend 2019. On that particular day, the line was about 12 people deep. I decided to come back a half hour later and had no wait. Releaf you made my day. I would be more than welcome to drive over 20 miles to have you again! read more

A great ice cream/drink shop located inside Mitsuwa! Highly recommend the matcha soft serve and/or any of the matcha drinks/parfaits. Prices are reasonable for the serving sizes and really makes for a great treat, especially after a meal from one one of the other food stalls in the amazing food court! read more
Wow!!! Watching someone take ice cream and turn it into an art form is incredibly mesmerizing and fun to watch. This young guy that made our two parfaits took his time and the attention to detail was almost surreal. This place is located in the Mitsuwa marketplace. And I found this place from pulling up my trusty yelp app. We were in the mood for ice cream after our dinner and this place popped up nearby. Always looking to try something out of the norm, we ventured on over and so glad we did. Mitsuwa has a new food court area, and this little gem of a ice cream/parfait/ extravaganza of dessert is one of the shops. We decided on two parfaits, a matcha and a strawberry. The matcha comes with cookies, Mochi, matcha ice cream, strawberries, sweet cream, red bean paste, and soft cake. I'm sure I'm missing something, but the menu is attached in one of the pictures. It was amazing and unique. It was just one of those desserts that was so unique that it was enjoyable. The strawberry one was loaded with strawberry's, vanilla ice cream, chantilly cream, and cake pieces. Once again, there is probably a bunch I'm missing from the list of ingredients. Love their green tea & vanilla twist soft serve cone (hence my pic on the business page). I've also had their black sesame ice cream and black sesame smoothie. I typically get flavors here that I wouldn't be able to get it elsewhere. It's a great dessert option after dining at the food court of Mitsuwa. Sometimes there're lines, but they tend to go fairly quickly. read more

This review is only for the matcha soft serve because it's pretty much the only thing my wife and I get here, haha. I know we've tried some smoothies before but it's been too long so I don't really remember them. But best matcha soft serve around! We have never failed to get some whenever we come to Mitsuwa (unless they were closed), and sometimes we only come for this if we're in the area XD. Haven't found a place yet that can beat their creamy texture and strong matcha flavor. Always hits the spot! read more

So I was around the O'Hare area and I wanted to get some dessert. I saw reLeaf matcha cafe and I was like ooh... I want. It was even better when I found out that it was inside a Mitsuwa. The matcha stores that are inside Mitsuwas are usually pretty good! Even though I was getting desserts from another place in which I have to write a review on later, I knew I had to make my way here to get some matcha soft serve. I know they had other things on their menu but I knew I just had to get their soft serve, and they did not disappoint! Matcha flavor? On point. I didn't even get the mixed swirl version. HA. It's so creamy and not overly sweet YAY. And it took less than 45 seconds from ordering to getting mah soft serve. YESS. If you want other things, they have matcha drinks, coffee, boba, parafits, toast, floats, and shaved ice. We enjoyed a serving of their signature kakigori shaved ice during an afternoon "tea break". This dish goes for $7.25 and we had it with sesame ice cream and the shaved ice topped with matcha powder. The Asian flavors were a delicious combination, and I thought this refreshment was a better value than the Korean bingsoos we have had recently and for which prices have drifted quite a bit higher (in the $10 range). Still love this place for dessert while at Mitsuwa! As the name suggests there are lots of green tea options, but once I discovered their black sesame ice cream there was no turning back (in fact, I learned how to make it in my ice cream freezer at home!) This time I had a black sesame milkshake with boba (tapioca pearls), which combined the best of the black sesame ice cream and the bubble tea. (If you're wondering what black sesame tastes like, it's like a cross between peanut butter and a hint of coffee.) My boyfriend went with the mango shave ice with mochi; the mango flavor was amazingly strong and not overly sweet, just perfect. Always cap your meal at the Mitsuwa food court with a treat from reLeaf! read more
We don't normally order anything here because we are usually much too full from food from the other food-court restaurants. But, today, my wife had to try a dessert. We have recently been into all things Matcha; so that was our focus. Because we had been studying the various photos in Yelp, we made our choices rather quickly. My wife ordered a Matcha Parfait that included sweet red beans, Castella pound cake, and a swirled Matcha and Vanilla Ice Cream; she said it reminded her of what she had growing up in Japan. Matcha, however, was not all the rage that it is today. I decided to keep it simple and ordered a Matcha-and-Vanilla-Swirl Ice Cream Cone. Both were very delicious and satisfying so we were happy we had just enough room to handle these. The staff were polite and quickly took and filled our orders. The only negative in my opinion was I think the pricing is a little high. read more
They may have good matcha ice creams and cakes but their bubble milk teas are disappointing. It's so diluted and where's my tea? The half cooked and half raw bubbles inside didn't help too. Don't know if this was a day off for them as I see long queues here usually and decent reviews. Just in case I'll stick to their ice cream next time. read more
