Ever since coming back to Illinois to visit family, I have made a stop to Releaf to order my Vietnamese coffee. It the best spot for Vietnamese coffee in Illinois! No other place has come close to Releaf. It is a perfect mixture with chicory coffee and sweet condensed milk. Every order I have received had the been created consistently the same from day 1. I have been going here for years and I enjoy every cup of Vietnamese I order from Releaf. The service is amazing and the staff members have been very nice and had my order correct every time. It is a small coffee / dessert spot in Mitsuwa and always busy. When there is a line in front, follow the crowd. You know there is something good in there. The wait is always worth it! Yesterday, my brother and I ordered 2 Vietnamese coffees. My brother and I loved our Vietnamese coffees and tasted excellent. The sweet level was perfect. I enjoy mixing the chicory coffee and condensed milk before drinking it. When I get that light brown color during mixing I know that is the right time to drink the coffee. Delicious soft serve match and sesame swirl for $6 (a little pricey when you think of soft serve - but it's definitely worth it). They served it up so quickly that I blinked and our cones were ready. Typically I prefer simpler beverages, either just matcha & water or matcha, water, and a little unsweetened soy milk. Quick and easy to place an order with the cashier. It's part of the food court in Mitsuwa so there's not much to say about the ambiance other than it's rad to be able to roam around picking up items from the different vendors. Releaf is located in the cutest Japanese marketplace, tucked away in the corner amid other restaurants. I got their Black Sesame and Matcha mixed soft serve on a cone. Honestly, there isn't much to say except that it was delicious. The quantity is really great, swirl was aesthetically pleasing to look at, and you can taste both the matcha and black sesame. The staff said that the soft serve is definitely stronger compared to the ice cream scoop. They do serve drinks during their normal operating hour, but after like 6/7pm, they only sell soft serve and ice cream after those times. read more

Everytime I go inside mitsuwa marketplace, I always end my meal with their ice cream! I love their matcha soft serve. My friend decided to try their lychee scooped ice cream which surprisingly was so tasty. The flavor was a mix between in a natural flavor, but also candy like. The matcha parfait, we wished had more ice cream to pair with the many cake pieces throughout the cup. This is becaise the cake was a bit on the drier side as well as in addition to the red bean paste which can further dry the palate. The matcha comes with cookies, Mochi, matcha ice cream, strawberries, sweet cream, red bean paste, and soft cake. I'm sure I'm missing something, but the menu is attached in one of the pictures. It was amazing and unique. It was just one of those desserts that was so unique that it was enjoyable. I have only gotten the drinks like bubble tea and lattes. I love it there. Pretty presention, and yummy drinks. They also offer some sweets, but I haven't tried them yet. They are open during COVID-19 and still serving. I recommend the Jasmine Bubble tea, but they have other flavors as well. Right now they are credit card only to limit contact during COVID-19. We don't normally order anything here because we are usually much too full from food from the other food-court restaurants. But, today, my wife had to try a dessert. We have recently been into all things Matcha; so that was our focus. Because we had been studying the various photos in Yelp, we made our choices rather quickly.
