It's cute, the menu looks really interesting, and it smells flipping amazing up in here. 10/10 Worth that visit back to try something new. Brown sugar milk tea with a cream cap at 50% sweetness PERFECT. Just be careful opening the lids. Mine had a disagreement with me and I lost. read more

Tried the banana matcha, mango matcha , their fruity pebble matcha, and their watermelon refresher all spot on. If you don't like lavender flavor I would suggest avoiding the fruity pebble drink as you can definitely taste the lavender part. However for me , it didn't bother me. Definitely worth the drive and waiting in the semi long line as it was their anniversary. read more

The staff were so lovely here, answered any and all questions I had. I tried one drink, and I want to try them all! I must have returned multiple times since going there the first time, I enjoyed it that much. My go to is a taro milk tea with classic boba, and taro pudding. The taro pudding is too thick to come up the straw, so it's a nice little treat to have after you finish your boba drink once you rip the cover off. The aesthetics are so cute inside too, they have little stickers by the cash register for customers too. read more

Kattea, yes pls! My first review for 2026. If you ever venture off to the burbs, Hoffman Estate, this is a must check out for all your matcha & latte needs. I was en route to Palatine and took a detour for a pick me up. Kattea has been on for a longest time and finally got a chance to check it out. Staff super friendly and you can see your drinks being made with care. Spot is cozy vibes good for studying or catching up with friends. Readily available parking in the plaza. read more

Absolutely loved what we got -- can definitely see why this place is trending! We went a few weeks ago and tried the Strawberry Matcha Latte and Banana Cream Latte, and my friend and I both finished our drinks right away. The space has a super cute aesthetic, and I'd definitely come back to try some of their fun toppings next time. It'd be nice if they offered a few snacks or small bites to go with the drinks, though. Located about 15-20 minutes from Woodfield Mall. read more

Soft Opening Review! Kattea Boba House just opened in the strip mall center off Barrington Rd & Golf Rd. I visited for their soft opening and was thoroughly impressed! The inside had a large service/ordering counter and seating all along the perimeter. They had a prize wheel to spin where I got the cutest Cat Topper for my lid! The wait time was a bit longer if you ordered the matcha/espresso drinks but staff was very transparent upon ordering. When asking for recommendations, they suggested the Harvest Fruit Tea so I ordered that. It was absolutely delicious and one can taste fresh fruit. My husband got the Thai Milk Tea and also was very impressed! Overall, I loved both of our drinks and would definitely come back. Definitely come out and try Kattea Boba House! Note: Menu prices reflect their 16oz size and there is a small upcharge to upgrade to 22oz. read more

I got here right when it opened on a Tuesday at 11am. Sadly, the tapioca pearls were not ready at opening. Minimally, I'd expect a "boba house" to have tapioca pearls available. Other than the lack of boba, the milk tea I got was really good! I got it with crystal boba, which I regret a bit. I wished I had tried the Korean corn latte that was a special. I hope to be back to try some other drinks! read more

What a clean and instagrammable little shop! A great spot to hang out as well as study if you want, it has a great vibe. The service was great and they were very helpful with questions considering this was our first visit. The drinks were also very aesthetically pleasing and tastes good by preference. And I say that because I loved my salted vanilla bean matcha but my wife didn't like it. But she loved her banana cream matcha and I wasn't a fan. There are a lot of drinks to choose from so we'll definitely be back to try the rest! read more

Let me start off by saying this was sooo good. I ordered the biscoff matcha latte with almond milk and I could definitely taste the biscoff. I would definitely order it again however, I wished I could have tasted the matcha a little bit more. The service was amazing, all the employees were all so kind and welcoming. The interior design inside was simple, modern, and definitely brought out the holiday season of Christmas. I can't wait to come back and try other drinks out. read more

Ordered the matcha cloud latte, and it was okay. I wish it had a stronger matcha flavor. I tried my friend's strawberry matcha latte and found it to be a bit too sweet (for my taste). Overall, cute place for studying and the tiramisu latte looks good, but I'm not sure I'd return for matcha. read more

Love love love this place! Greeted with a warm welcome and cute mofusand x sanrio stickers. I got the earl grey milk tea (Large) with a cheese cap and the strawberry cat paw on the side. My sister got the oolong milk tea (regular) with the cheese pudding ball on the side. Both drinks were so good. No changes to sweetness level needed, but honestly I loved the earl grey one more. The flavor was so rich -- I wish I can have it again (I'm not from here). The cheese pudding ball had a nice surprise to it, bouncy & filled with cheese. Strawberry cat paw was very subtle on flavor, I ended up tossing it in my drink since I enjoyed it more that way. Customer service was amazing, inside; clean, cute, aesthetically pleasing, and drinks were delicious. Would definitely recommend this new boba place! read more

Went on their last day of the soft opening. The person who helped me was so nice! She originally said they were out of matcha but she told me to give her sec to weigh out the matcha that's leftover if it's enough to make one more drink! (There was ) As I was waiting, another lady went to grab her 3 drinks but they didn't have any cup holders so she took one and walked it out to the customer's car. After I finished my drink, 2 people (including her) asked me how it was. Customer service was 10/10! Inside was small but really cute! read more

Everyone is so friendly walking in and they always make a point to remember me and my husband's names! I've visited at least 5 times now and I've tried different expresso lattes. My favorite is her biscoff peanut latte but all her lattes have that perfect velvet coffee texture. The chocolate wild berry expresso latte tasted like chocolate dipped berries! So good!!! If I lived near here it would definitely be my go to coffee spot. Her strawberry matcha is the best matcha I've had too! The oolong milk tea has always been my go to drink and a lot of other places don't get the tea part quite right but Kattea got it down! The aroma of the tea is amazing! Her harvest fruit tea is my go to if I'm feeling something refreshing though and it always hits. Although the staff as seen us so much they still make it a point to get our opinions on their drink and always offer to alter it the way we'd like it! So kind!! The Kattea ambiance is giving friendly and welcoming! I think I've been here one too many times but I'm determined to try everything on her menu! Ps. I tried squeezing the matcha cup (see picture) and that was difficult to do. These cups are sturdy! read more

the store is cute! lots of places to sit however it dos tend to get busy and it may be loud if you are looking for a place to work from as well. the choice of flavors is ok. but pricey for the size of the cup plus the fact you have to pay extra for the tapioca boba pearls is a bit insane in my opinion but i digress. will come back once in a while. read more
