I took my family here after dinner because it was the closest bubble tea place in the area. We ordered the Butterfly Lemonade, Strawberry Banana, Thai Iced Tea, and Mango Berry Green Tea. I had the Mango Berry Green Tea, and it was a little too sweet for my taste. The drinks were beautifully presented in glass bottles, but the taste didn't really wow me. Came here on a weekday towards late lunchtime as we had just had lunch at a restaurant nearby within the same strip mall area. Parking is shared amongst all the businesses in the strip mall, and this place is a little bit hard to find as it is towards the back of the mall if you're entering from golf. However, upon entering, I have to say that the staff here is super super friendly. We were immediately greeted, and immediately asked if we had any questions or they could help in any way, shape or form. Funny, the person I went with started, asking them questions about the plants in the store and how they kept them alive. The staff was more than obliging to answer, and was very honest about how they kept those plants alive. We ordered two drinks, and they came out very quickly and even while trying to decide what to order the staff was so helpful and helping us determine what our choices were what we could consider as well as making recommendations as to how to customize the drinks. This is a very nice boba shop. The atmosphere definitely stands out. The cotton candy machine is a nice touch and so are the glass jars they use. Quality- I got the dragonfruit tea and the sesame seed banana smoothie. Both were pretty well made but it didn't really stand out. There was no strong flavor that stood out and tasted a bit watered down. However, it was healthy and made with natural ingredients from what I can tell. Can't think of one bad thing about Bearology! I branched out and tried this unique place around 15 minutes away from my house. The store's location is in between Bob's Furniture and Papa John's. There was a lot of parking, as well, since Bearology is nestled between a strip mall with various stores and food places. The place is clean, simplistic, and spacious. I love how the menu is placed out on the wall with pictures for every drink. This makes it sooo much easier to choose a drink! They have sparkly drinks which looked really cute, but I opted for the huckleberry lemonade tea because the employee recommended it. She also told me to make sure I mix it well (and yes, the service is great!) The tea was so fresh, sweet, and unique! I've never had anything like it. It's also super cool that each drink is served in a glass mason jar-like cup. You get to keep it, too, so I'm totally reusing mine! Their drinks are around $7.50 and their shimmery drinks are $9. I've passed by Bearology so many times and wondered what it was. The name does not tell any clues. When I finally looked it up, I was surprised to find it was a bubble tea place. I love that Bearology is conveniently located next to the asian stores and Amazon Fresh. I had just gone to Tous les Jours and decided I might as well try out some bubble tea as well. The store itself is aesthetically pleasing with white walls and what appears to be an Instagram wall. It becomes apparent that the focus here is looks, as there are several options for shimmering drinks (which can be up to $10!). Each drink comes in a glass container which obviously adds to the price of the drink. I believe if you bring the glass back, you can get 10% off your next order. But regardless, my drink was $6.75 which is pretty expensive! I tried both the thai tea and the strawberry milk tea and the flavors for both were spot on. The boba was a bit too soft for my liking. But overall, the drinks were very good. If not for how expensive it was, I would definitely come back much more often! read more

There is many specialty Asian style boba tea places everywhere and what makes this place any different. First off you get a glass mason jar with every order and you get 10% off the next time you bring in the mason jar to re-use. Second I like the unique fruit infused tea flavors that is not overly sweet compared to other places. I was a little disappointed that glass flask is currently out of stock... but the drinks are currently $1.50 off . I was interested in the shimmering drink after seeing posts on Instagram. When I got the drink, it was nothing like it. Lower your expectations when you're coming for the first time! I put my drinks by sunlight to enjoy this shimmery! Was it quite tasty, hmm... not really. I'm not a fan of "fruity" teas but the shimmering drink tasted like rose tea base. I can't confirm because I couldn't find anything in the menu description. I went at 6pm on a Friday night and there was no wait when I walked in. By the time I exited the store, there were a few people in line trying to enter. Currently, they limit 10 people in the store due to the pandemic. I am so glad I didn't wait in line for this. Ordering was easy using the iPad. There are 2 iPads dedicated for ordering. The drinks didn't take too long. There's an attractive menu wall, and obligatory photo wall with flower decor. I may give it another try when the glass is back. The interior design was cute and insta worthy. There was a huge lime at the time I went but the service was fast and efficient, with the two kiosks for checkout. The first time I tried Bearology was at their UIUC (University of Urbana-Champaign) location. I loved the adorable and reusable glass bottles with the cute bear logo (they didn't have the glass flasks at UIUC when I went), and as well as seeing their cool spin on classic boba teas (24K gold tea is so pretty in its bottle). I was so excited to see that they opened one in Schaumburg and decided to make the trip since I was in the area. Notes: -I will say to make sure you give yourself plenty of time as there is a huge line. -They have a 10 person max in their store (which isn't very big). -They have two self-service machines (makes sure to also bring your credit card) where you can order, pay, and tip the staff. There is cute wall art and a few chairs to sit while you wait. Verdict: Is it worth the hype? I do like how Bearology teas seemed brewed and not "powder" like some of the boba you can get in the 'burbs. The flavors were tasty and the jars are fun. I ended up waiting 30 minutes and paid about 20.00 for two drinks with tip. Would I return? I think this place can be fun with friends/date if you've never been and the glass bottle (and glass flask) are unique and picture-worthy. However, I wouldn't go back just to wait in line again for the boba tea. It's pricey for what you get and not worth that line. It seems this place ALWAYS has a huge line. Currently there is a limit of 10 people allowed inside, so that exacerbates the appearance of the huge line out the door. Bearology seems tailor made for the Instagram crowd, with their colorful and occasionally shimmery drinks served in glass jars and flasks, as opposed to the usual plastic cups. You place your order via a touch screen to the left of the counter, making your selections and paying there. Then you can stand along the walls or sit until they call your name once the order is ready. I think there is some kind of discount if you return to refill your glass jar or flask, in which case you use the screen to the right instead. There is a sign offering direction. I tried the Huckleberry Lemonade Tea. It seemed to come in three layers, and although I tried to mix it up it mostly settled back into those same three layers. The first layer at the bottom was the sweet huckleberry syrup. Then came the much less sweet lemonade. The final, top layer was distinctly floral tasting, courtesy of the Butterfly-Pea Extract. My husband got their famous shimmering pink lemonade. It tasted like normal pink lemonade, but probably actually much less sweet than the usual. The boba were okay. Not as much "bite" as I usually like - more limp than al dente. At least they weren't grainy. I actually had one boba solidly encased in an ice cube. I was happy with the drink I ordered because at least I feel like that sort of floral flavor is not pervasively available. Otherwise, with SO many bubble tea shops in the area, I feel no need to rush back into that huge line. I oscillated between rating this 3 or 4 stars, but ultimately I'd say "A-OK" is closer to how I feel about it, so 3 stars it is (maybe 3.5). Had a decent experience here at bearology. I've been wanting to try this out for a long time as I've seen it every time I go to hmart to shop (it's in the same plaza as hmart, Amazon fresh, etc). I've looked at the menu before and it's quite pricey for a drink ($6.75 for my classic milk tea with tapioca) which is a drawback, however I was pretty enticed by their glass reusable mason jars that have a cover with a hole in it for a straw. So fancy and would love to use this at home, ha. Also, if you bring it back to the store next time, you get 10% off. I got the original milk tea with tapioca. Tapioca was decent. Milk tea was also decent. I got regular the regular sweetness level, and that worked well for me too. All in all, I enjoyed my drink, but I can't say it was theeee best I've ever had. I think I prefer a stronger tea flavor in my bubble tea. It's a small store, decorated decently inside. They have a few tables to sit at, and the table by the window was open. It was a relaxing atmosphere with nice chairs, and the sun shining in while catching up with an old friend to drink some bubble tea. Decent drink and nice atmosphere. My daughter is into Boba Tea. I like to take her to trendy spots. We were in Schaumburg for the day and this was first on our list to stop for tea! Super cute, modern, bright and fun. You make your order on a kiosk (apple device) and pay. Your order is quickly made and you're out the door! I wanted to try this place ever since I found out one opened in Champaign. I couldn't try it at UIUC because I already graduated so I was happy to hear another location opened somewhat closer to me. I went early afternoon on a weekday so I didn't have to wait in line. There was only 2 people in front of me. They use an ipad system for ordering which is convenient for covid. The ordering system was pretty easy to use. They offer customers to customize drinks in terms of amount of ice and sweetness which is great! Not all places offer that. I love how they have their menu on the wall with pictures! Personally, pictures make ordering so much easier cause I know how my drink will look like. Thai tea: I forgot to take a picture before mixing but the presentation was so pretty! I chose less ice with regular sweetness and it was perfect! Tasted so yummy with slight creaminess. Kiwi lemonade: I honestly only bought this mainly for a jar but they were out of stock when I went! They are using recycled plastic cups for all drinks as of right now.
