On our way back to St. Louis we decided to make one lost stop for boba. It's inside of a market which offers sushi and hot pot. Lots of different drink options. I got the coffee latte with black sugar boba and it was so good. My daughter got the Litchi mango fruit tea and she loved hers. Only downside is you can't make changes and there are no descriptions and it's the only reason why I took away a star. I would've done 4.5 if it was an option. Located inside international fresh market. They added ordering kiosks which is probably smart, but it was not the easiest to navigate. Service took a long time, but the quality of drinks justify the wait. It is a grocery store cafeteria so it's neither glamorous or fancy, but the boba stand is cutely decorated. This bubble tea stand is located inside the International Fresh Market, an Asian supermarket. Similar to the Chicago Chinatown location, there is a good selection of teas, ranging from milk teas, to fruit teas, lattes, and seasonal specials. We ordered the Fruit Combo Green Tea and the Brown Sugar Bubble Milk Tea. Both were excellent! They came out in less than 5 minutes. Elitea, in the Fresh International Market store, is my favorite and go-to place for all things milk, fruit and bubble teas. They have got a great variety on their menu and have rotating signature flavors as well. Having their fruit and milk teas reminded me of my visit to Singapore in 2019 where I had my first cheese top milk tea and it was heavenly. Although, I don't frequent Elitea like I would like to because they aren't close to me and also, because they can be pricey, I try to make the most of my visits when I go there. Once you enter the Fresh International Market store, Elitea is on the right hand side. Their menu is on the top along the shop wall. They have an electronic menu featuring their current favorites and signature specialties. Since it's a popular place, they can get busy. Ordering is easy. You just walk up to the counter and order whatever you want to have. In some cases, you have the options to get your drinks with less or no sugar and less or no ice. I like that. Some of their drinks are a bit pricey and with any add-ins, can get even pricier (plus, that high Schaumburg sales tax does not help *angry face*) but sometimes it is totally worth it. When warm weather comes, I definitely am more in the mood for their drinks as their fruit tea drinks are really refreshing. And their milk tea drinks are a perfect alternative to having smoothies or milkshakes. They have warm drinks too so in Fall and Winter months, you can still get your fill with their quality tea or other beverages. I definitely recommend visiting Elitea for a good, refreshing drinks. You'll get quality beverages and nice service, and if you have time, you can check out the market for all the variety of foods and groceries they have to offer. read more

Weekends seem to be for Boba tea especially as the weather gets warmer. Tried Elitea and was pleasantly surprised. It is located in International Fresh Market , which was nice because we picked up a few Asian food items, seasonings and meats. We tried three different drinks. My husband had a Strawberry Smoothie. It is only available in one size, but he didn't mind. The strawberry flavor was fresh and the swirled cream was a nice touch. I tried a seasonal drink, White Peach Oolong Latte with Boba. The peach was flavoral, not tart and the boba was very good. My daughter had a passion fruit with lemon boba. This also was only available in large. You could definitely taste the lemon, but it was refreshing and not overpowering. We did not know you could customize your sugar and ice levels, but would on our next visit. Indoor dining was closed due to Covid restrictions, but there are tables outside the store. Customer service was good and service was relatively fast. The only negative was when we inserted the straw , 2 out of the 3 cups, the plastic fell into the cup, however it definitely worth a try. read more

Drink: I got the pineapple yogurt bubble tea. I have also tried the peach smoothie bubble tea. The pearls are super soft and the flavor is true to taste. I've been able to try both the signature milk tea and the roasted mountain oolong tea with cheese top and I can say I'm a fan of both! Bubble tea, but with an emphasis on "tea". When the kids aren't home, I crave bubble tea, and so we headed out to Schaumburg to try a new place. It ended up being located inside the Fresh International Market, which I haven't been in yet; fortunately, Elitea was easy enough to find as it was located right by the front doors. I picked up a pineapple smoothie for my wife and something called the "Pinky Litchi with Jelly and Cheese Top". The pineapple smoothie was oddly sweet and not at all sour, which was very strange, to the point that I wondered if it real pineapples were used in the making of this smoothie. The bubble tea with the really long name? Fantastic. Aside from being Instagram-worthy, it just tastes great; jelly and pudding for both texture and flavor, strongly brewed pink tea, cream cheese making for a slightly unusual (but very delicious!) combination. My instincts said "no boba today" and this time, they led me in the right direction. The best part about this place is the consistency. Every time I've gone, the milk tea tastes the same and the boba is the same texture and flavor. While brown sugar milk isn't my favorite, this place does it the best in the area. It is on thicker side and the brown sugar and has a nice, caramelized flavor. Their milk tea is also great. When ordering teas you just have to know your taste bud and for add in just consider level of sweetness and whether you want fruity or savory. With the tea, it really only tasted of tea (and milk). The pearls themselves were nice and soft with a hint of sweetness. There wasn't much of it however. Me and my 2 sisters have been here twice now which means we've ordered 6 drinks total between the 3 of us. The flavor of strong tea is present in every drink which I appreciate and you can adjust the sweetness of most drinks on their menu. The only drinks we didn't like were the taro drinks because they have little pieces of taro in the bottom mixed with the boba and it creates a strange texture when you suck them through the straw. I was first introduced the Elitea before the Fresh International Market even opened...the store had set up a table with free drinks and bakery items to try letting their presence be known - a great idea since I have come back for that same Brown Sugar Milk Tea many times! It's the only drink I've had there, sweet and creamy with black tapioca...even better with a cream cheese topping. Just a warning - every time I have come in there is a VERY long wait for your drink to be made. I think the wait it worth it but you might want to plan ahead. read more
