We went out for dinner and after decided to come here for desserts. As we entered, we were greeted with a warm welcome from the staff. Before ordering, we were curious about the ingredients for their Taro Bubble Shake, they were unsure but went to the back and brought out the packaging with the ingredients listed. We were happy to know that it was free of allergens! They were also clear off ensuring that the equipment will be washed and the prep area would be clean. We ordered the Taro Bubble Shake, Matcha Bubble Waffle and a Choco Oreo Bubble Waffle. The Taro Bubble Shake came out quickly and the Bubble Waffles came out after as the waffle is made to order. The matcha ice cream was delicious and has fruity pebbles (added the crunchy), cookies, whip cream. The waffle cone was soft and as I ate Eve ice cream, I could tear into the soft and fluffy cone. I certainly would get it again. The Taro Bubble Shake and the Choco Oreo Bubble Tea had two thumbs up due the taste. I'll have to come back to see for myself. I would like try the Bingsoo as well! I highly recommend trying this place for not only the food desserts but the friendly staff.

Tiger sugar latte was a hit! Boba was perfectly balanced and they have tons of alternative milks! My friend swears by the bingsu, so obvi next time, I'm getting it. I also got an iced americano which had an average taste but this medium size was pretty big! Also, the service was lovely and their workers were super nice. Overall, a good boba spot with some tasty gems

Our family wanted dessert and my eldest recommended this place for Bingsoo and other desserts. Conveniently located in a small strip mall with plenty of parking. The cafe is pristine and spacious!! Place not too busy as it was late Sunday afternoon. Wait staff very polite and patient as this was my first time here. Loved my Mango Bingsoo with chunks of mango and pieces of mochi. Really refreshing and not overly sweet. Reminded me of Halo Halo, shaved ice dessert in the Philippines. The Vanilla Bubble Waffle. Waffle was soft and fluffy. Portion of ice cream to waffle just right. We also ordered the Strawberry Swirl Cheesecake, which was soft creamy. Ratio of strawberry to cheesecake on spot. Swirl of chocolate and whipped cream made it a decadent dessert. Definitely plan on a return visit!!

We love their Bingsu and Fruit teas. Service is fast and place is always clean. Been coming here for years and highly recommend.

Got the dalgona latte in iced and it was delicious, perfect amount of sweetness and bitterness from the coffee. Great balance. Also ordered the choco Oreo bubble waffle which I was not a true fan of. The presentation was yummy but the bubble waffle is what I was disappointed in. The bubble waffle had a unique taste to my tastebud; I felt the batter wasn't fully cooked or they mixed a bit too much flour. I would come back for their drinks.

Cute, modern aesthetic. Everyone has been very nice and helpful when we've gone. We like their red bean bingsoo. The shaved ice is like snow. Some places are more like ice chips, but it's like freshly fallen powder snow that melts on your tongue. They use a honey powder, which is unique. Not too sweet but really good! We also like getting plain bubble waffle for our kids. These are just so-so. The Hong Kong or Taiwanese style we like has a bouncy chew and eggier taste--this is not that. But it's still a nice treat for our kids.

My husband and I only come here for their lattes we wished they opened earlier or else we would come more. Cute place and amazing espresso but I ordered mine with vanilla last time and it was wayyyy too sweet it just tasted like pure sugar. Wish some of the baristas were more friendly though.

An appropriately named restaurant, this cafe is convenient for hanging out though the furniture isn't the most comfortable for that purpose. Parking is pretty easy as the shopping center isn't typically super busy. The service is fairly quick and friendly and they do prepare drinks fairly quickly which are not the cheapest but no more expensive than nearby cafes. They have an impressive variety from coffee to milk tea to smoothies to specialty drinks. I did not expect to see dalgona milk tea and tiger sugar latte available on their menu. It is nice that they offer a variety of desserts like cake, bubble waffle, bingsoo, and cookies. Though bingsoo and bubble waffles are becoming more common in the suburbs now, its great to see them offer a fairly wide variety of flavors for each. Overall a good choice should you need a sweet treat in the area and need a casual place to hangout with others.

Decent coffee place in NW Suburbs of Chicago. The cashiers didn't seem very familiar with the options they have. Anyways, we ordered Hazelnut Latte and Hot Chocolate. Hot chocolate: it was actually good but they didn't have marshmallows to put in it (which i like). Hazelnut latte: not my taste, but my loved it. Good thing was both the drinks were served hot. They didn't have comfortable seating. They have metal chairs. Sitting there for 20-25 mins was very uncomfortable. They have gender specific restrooms. Big area for the cafe and could be improved upon seating arrangement and decor.

Nice Korean Hangout to get dessert after stuffing oneself at KBBQ WiFi isn't always accessible or fantastic but it's entertaining to see kids gaming and sucking up the bandwidth.

We stumbled here by accident on our way to another event and needed to kill some time. This is a very cute cafe with a casual vibe. They serve coffee, blended drinks, and desserts. We ordered an Iced latte and mint chocolate blended milkshake. They were both delicious. I'm excited to come back and try more food and drinks. The staff is friendly. Highly recommended!!

This is a nice little dessert, boba, and coffee place! Inside is clean and inviting, the service is friendly. Attention to detail is plain to see in the items. This is one place where the menu pictures actually resemble what you get. The dessert is where its at in my opinion. Those bubble waffles are yumz, as are the cakes! I tried the strawberry swirl cheesecake and the chocolate fudge cake. Both decadent. Great bubble teas. If you're in Palatine and/or surrounding area, your sweet tooth will surely deem this place as "hangout" worthy.

    Strawberry bingsoo cup

I've been meaning to check out Hangout Cafe. After dinner at Shinchan Ramen, we finally tried it. Since we were full, we split a strawberry bingsoo cup. Bingsoo is Korean shaved ice. It's one of my favorite desserts. Other choices are mango, matcha, and Oreo. They also have boba, bubble waffles, smoothies and cake. I really enjoyed the bingsoo. Love that they swirled the strawberry topping (has real strawberries) in with the powdery ice and ice cream. The ice has a soft powdery texture. There are cubes of cheesecake and mochi. They forgot to put the little mochis in so they gave us a little cupful. Next time, I'll have to get my own and not share! Or better, get the larger version! Lol Service was great! I'll definitely be back!

This cafe does so many things right, starting with the spacious parking lot located in a large strip mall, which makes stopping by very convenient. Inside, the dining room is bright, elegant, and welcoming, and the staff has been consistently friendly and kind. During my first visit, my friend and I ordered for dine-in, and I immediately appreciated the thoughtful details. The ordering counter displays a variety of freshly made pastries and bakery items that are very tempting. My drink was served in a real glass, and my food came out hot on an actual plate with a fork. I love places that make dining in feel intentional and special rather than treating it like takeout. I ordered the spinach Turkish bread ($8.75), and it completely exceeded my expectations. It was generously filled with spinach, cheese, and garlic, and the flavor was outstanding. You could tell it was freshly made and homemade. Just writing this review is making me crave it again. I also ordered an iced caramel macchiato ($6.25), which had a perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness and paired really well with my food. One downside is that the dining room is not very large, so tables are close together. As it got busier during our visit, I became a bit uncomfortable because I could clearly hear the conversation at the table next to us, which meant they could hear ours, as well. It is something to keep in mind if you plan to stay. Because of this, I now usually order my drink to go. Overall, I am extremely impressed with this cafe. It has quickly become one of my favorite spots for both food and coffee, and I will absolutely continue coming back.

We ordered a cappuccino, almond croissant, and cherry danish from a very helpful staff member. The pastries were pretty good, albeit on the heavy side. My danish was packed with cherries but didn't have much of the cream cheese I was hoping would cut the sweetness a bit. The cappuccino was the highlight, smooth and not overly bitter. We were there mid-morning on a Saturday, and two people were working. Our pastries came out pretty quickly, but it took a very long time for my cappuccino due to a large to-go order they were handling. It's understandable, and we weren't in a hurry anyway. I've only been here once and so I don't know if that's typical, but something to be aware of in case you're on a tight timeline. The ambiance was nice, and it would be a pleasant place to hang out and work.

I needed to go grocery shopping, but before the tasks begins hubs and I needed lunch! We walked thru the choices available at the food court and decided that Korean wings would be a tasty lunch meal. We were there just before 3:00 so we ordered the KPopcorn chicken lunch special. It came with tater tots (my fav), popcorn chicken with ddukbokki (ttekbokki) in the OG sauce, and a soft drink. We also got a 5 piece chicken wing in honey sauce and a taro blended smoothie. The popcorn chicken with dduk-bokki was plentiful for a lunch special. The OG sauce is DELICIOUS! It's slightly spicy, sweet, umami, and covered everything well! The popcorn chicken was crispy and juicy, nice plump sized pieces, and the dduk-bokki was nicely seared, chewy, and fresh! The tater tots were fried well and we dipped it in the OG sauce. The wings were larger and juicy, sooooo crispy, and covered in plenty of yum honey sauce. It wasn't a sickly sweet honey sauce, it was well balanced! The taro freeze tasted like taro which is good. I've had it at other places where it just tastes like a cup of slushy ice and a hint of something. The owner (I think he was the owner) was so sweet and was patient while I tried to figure out what we wanted. Because we were there just before 3:00 on a Monday, it wasn't very busy. There are plenty of tables for seating and enjoying your food. They're spaced nicely apart and all kept clean. The food court area is separate from the grocery store and has its own entrance (far right doors as you face the front of the store). To get to the grocery side you'll have to leave the food court and walk over to the other entrance. Craving some delicious Korean wings, dduk-bboki, or even bingsoo? KCafe will really hit the spot and it's so affordable!
