Truffle ramen bowl topped with beef
    Elana K.

Not bad, but I prefer other ramen places for the price. I tried the truffle ramen here, which was $17. The amount of noodles in the bowl was reasonable - not too much, not too little. I feel like the seaweed may have overwhelmed the truffle flavor a bit, so I would omit the seaweed if I try it again. I asked for spicy paste on the side, allowing me to control the spice level without further overwhelming the flavor. Finally, I selected beef for my protein choice, and received tender, flavorful slices of black pepper steak atop my bowl. This was one of the best parts of my dish. My husband got the tonkatsu ramen, which he liked fine, but again, we have other options we prefer for tonkatsu ramen when it comes to value, quantity, and quality. The bubble tea was not bad. I got the Passonfruit "Infruit" Tea with lychee jelly, and it was as tasty as anywhere else, and plenty big. The best thing about Taichi for us is proximity to our house. Definitely more convenient to visit than some of the other "destination" ramen places we might go to. You place your order at a touch screen, pick up your own food from the counter, and bus your own table.

The ordering process is slightly confusing. They have paper sheets where you can mark what you want and take it to the counter, they have ordering kiosks at the entrance as well for certain items (at least that's what the sign says) but then it appeared to have the full menu, then there's employees at the front who can take your order as well. Unsure of why there's different options but I'm sure it's just new beginnings of seeing what works best for the business. Once order is placed, you can watch the team prepare your food in front of you since it's laid out in individual containers (think subway or chipotle). I got the chicken rice bowl and the ingredients all tasted fresh which was good. There's quite a bit of seating inside and lots of cute Panda trinkets for purchase (stuffies, keychains, etc.) Definitely a cute spot I can see people hanging at.

Walking in at Taichi is very exciting because our family loves boba. When you walk in there's plenty of stuff animals displayed and a variety of lays, Oreos in different flavors. Venue: is clean and open. They have kiosk to use if you know what you want to order. They have rewards points if you sign up as a member. Parking: ample private parking Price: comparable to other boba place Drinks: there are lots of different drinks to choose from. I've personally tried the infruit and fruit tea. I like less ice, no sugar w boba and popping jellies Staff: very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend trying this place. Enjoy!

This is the fast casual for ramen and poke bowls and sushi burritos plus boba tea drinks. Order at the kiosk or in person and they also have fill-in sheets. The bowls and burritos are very customizable so it's good to see all those options in front of you. Seriously, it's like "choose up to 4 veg" or "choose up to 16 toppings" so it can get pretty crazy. The ramen and the boba tea have a lot of options as well, but they cost a little extra. There are only 5 or 6 main proteins - but it's how you mix it up with the toppings and extras that make it custom. The place is new and clean and modern. But it just opened up, so it gets that pass. The actual food is nice and unfussy. I got the tonkotsu ramen and the burrito sushi. The ramen was good without being pretentious. I don't want to say a little boring/standard - but that's OK too! The burrito sushi was very difficult to eat like a burrito. I promise! I didn't overstuff it. Two proteins, two veg, and three topping... but it still spilled out a lot. I don't know what the solution is? The boba tea is good and they have no problem with customizing ice and sugar levels. So, in terms of fast casual ramen and sushi... it's a winner!

Quick visit to the new location before the new year! I've been to Taichi locations prior to this one but this was the coolest! The claw machine, ramen, and snacks vibe was really cool. It was empty during NYE before close but I'm sure it's a great place to hang out. Great vibes, cool staff, and tasty drinks. Got the Dalgona iced drink with oat and boba. It tasted great! Also, shoutout to the fun staff, they clapped for us when my buddy got a Kirby out of the claw machine and gave him a bag to hold it in. I hope the place continues to thrive for the new year!

Taichi Bubble Tea has poke, ramen, rice boxes, boba, coffee, and stuffed animals! It's kind of like if a food court and gift shop had a baby. It's big, clean, and quiet. I had a three-protein poke bowl and a dalgona coffee. I know. What a combo right? Well it made sense in my head. Fresh ingredients, friendly staff, food was decent. I'll be back to try more... and maybe leave with a stuffed animal or two. Welp! Onto the next!

I would give 4 stars for Taichi Bubble Tea. It's a brand new location, this used to be a Boston Market - the inside looks very nice brand new and remodeled. If you want a restaurant to compare this with, think Poke Bros - bowls, salads and ramen/bubble tea drinks. The food was good, they initially forgot to add the most important ingredient to my poke salad (the poke) lol. No big deal though, they gave me the poke when I noticed it - but check your online orders before you leave. I'd also recommend Taichi adds siracha as a condiment - they don't have it currently. The salad/bowl was really good - the poke tasted really fresh, and the portion size was decent. I'll have to come back to try their bubble tea/ramen another time. Overall, I recommend a visit to Taichi Bubble Tea.

Great addition in Mt. Prospect for quality ramen and bubble tea! So nice that you can just drop by on the whim for a quality, quick meal. Super casual where you order at the counter and seat yourself. I like the fact that you can really customize your ramen with all the ingredients they have for toppings after you choose the broth. The menu is extensive and so is their bubble tea menu. Worth trying a different one each time I visit.

Could not pass up this opportunity for a giant burrito-sized sushi roll! You can really put whatever you want in there, so I got salmon and tuna, cream cheese, sauce, soybeans, just really all the good stuff you like in sushi. You do kinda have to know what goes well together, since you can add anything. So pace yourself, I guess. You can order at the kiosk or at the counter. It was about a medium wait once we ordered. They fill that roll pretty full, but it's served in a box, so at least that can catch anything that falls out. Lots of drink options as well. Will have to go back to try more. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated, casual atmosphere. Parking in the lot is available.

Cute little place for boba, sushi burrito and ramen. We ordered the mango tea, matcha/banana smoothie and the byo sushi burrito. Everything was really good. You can either order on the kiosk or order at the desk. Will have to come back to try others.

I delivered your food and I went inside there. I ordered a drink. The service was great. It's nice and clean. I really wanna come back here one day now I know where it's at if I ever do stop by there for my delivery.

Lovely tea place with food options. Everything we ordered is delicious and good value. It's very clean with efficient service. Will be back again.

Loved the modern decor and friendliness of the staff! My lemon/pineapple tea was just ok but my sister got a smoothie lychee/passion fruit which I liked better! I would love to come back and try their food soon!

There's also discrepancy in their menu and what they actually have available as it seems they also display items for the the cafe next door. We happened to arrive during happy hour so some menu items were discounted. They also have a complimentary salad bar. We ordered chicken karaage, potstickers, salmon avocado sushi, and I had the katsu sandwich. All the food items we ordered came separately over a span of 20+ minutes, with the sandwich arriving last and cold. Not only did the sandwich come on a cold sourdough bread, the meat also had an unusual texture and so I ended up throwing it out. The other items we ordered were lacking in flavor. The chicken karaage was prepared well but it had no flavor. I'm regret spending money at this establishment.

If customers are waiting before the restaurant opens, you know that you are in for a treat, right?…read moreI mean, this was our first time to Uma Japan Eatery (didn't know it was formerly Ramen USA) and we were a little confused when we arrived because there was signage for Uma, Ramen USA, and M Cafe. So we got out of the car and saw someone pull up in front of the restaurant and jump out at 11:59. As soon as the door was unlocked at 12pm, this customer went in, and a few others after them. This is a small joint, and it was already half full by the time we ordered, then sat down (they told us the table at which to sit). I didn't know, but asked, and found out that a salad bar and miso soup are also included. The salad bar was pretty decent, with fresh vegs. They even had French fried onions (my guilty pleasure) and a very good House dressing (ginger vinaigrette). The portions are enormous. The couple next to us got ramen, and it was practically overflowing. We ordered takoyaki (too much food, we didn't need). I had the Pork Katsu bowl and my companion had a Katsu curry. I wished I had ordered the curry -- it looked dark and rich and thick like pudding (not like a boxed curry). They also gave us a bonus piece of chicken karaage which was so large and crispy. I think I'll get the curry next time, or the ramen. We originally came because we were going to get a karaage sando, but get the curry.

She loved the Crab, shrimp, Mussels that were in it. Good amount of noodles to share amongst 2 people. (Salted Prawn) it was good only wished the prawn was more fresh.
