The girls were friendly and helped us choose our dishes. Unfortunately, the food was a big disappointment. We ordered two ramens and a burrito for $62 for two people, but everything was incredibly bland and lacked flavor. For that price, we expected much more. Sadly, we didn't enjoy the food and wouldn't return. One fun detail was the complimentary tokens for the toy claw machines we really enjoyed playing and winning some toys! Not having much knowledge about Ramen soup, we thought we'd try some at Taichi Bubble Tea. The restaurant is very clean, you have a couple of stations you can order from just passed the entrance or at the counter. They then give you tokens to try your luck at the claw machines that are.in the restaurant, one token for every $10 of food ordered. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen with Grilled Chicken and my brother went with the Miso Ramen and Tofu. We picked up our soup at the counter reasonably quickly and both soups were hot and delicious. The protein that we ordered in the soups was plentiful and the chicken was tasty. Tried this place after seeing the giant bubble tea statute outside. Inside they have fun claw machines (you get free tokens with purchase of food) as well as Asian snacks! Once order is placed, you can watch the team prepare your food in front of you since it's laid out in individual containers (think subway or chipotle). Not bad, but I prefer other ramen places for the price. I tried the truffle ramen here, which was $17. The amount of noodles in the bowl was reasonable - not too much, not too little. I feel like the seaweed may have overwhelmed the truffle flavor a bit, so I would omit the seaweed if I try it again. I asked for spicy paste on the side, allowing me to control the spice level without further overwhelming the flavor. Finally, I selected beef for my protein choice, and received tender, flavorful slices of black pepper steak atop my bowl. This was one of the best parts of my dish. My husband got the tonkatsu ramen, which he liked fine, but again, we have other options we prefer for tonkatsu ramen when it comes to value, quantity, and quality. The bubble tea was not bad. I got the Passonfruit "Infruit" Tea with lychee jelly, and it was as tasty as anywhere else, and plenty big. The best thing about Taichi for us is proximity to our house. Definitely more convenient to visit than some of the other "destination" ramen places we might go to. This is the fast casual for ramen and poke bowls and sushi burritos plus boba tea drinks. Order at the kiosk or in person and they also have fill-in sheets. The bowls and burritos are very customizable so it's good to see all those options in front of you. Seriously, it's like "choose up to 4 veg" or "choose up to 16 toppings" so it can get pretty crazy. The ramen and the boba tea have a lot of options as well, but they cost a little extra. There are only 5 or 6 main proteins - but it's how you mix it up with the toppings and extras that make it custom. The place is new and clean and modern. But it just opened up, so it gets that pass. The actual food is nice and unfussy. I got the tonkotsu ramen and the burrito sushi. The ramen was good without being pretentious. I don't want to say a little boring/standard - but that's OK too! The burrito sushi was very difficult to eat like a burrito. I promise! I didn't overstuff it. Two proteins, two veg, and three topping... but it still spilled out a lot. I would give 4 stars for Taichi Bubble Tea. It's a brand new location, this used to be a Boston Market - the inside looks very nice brand new and remodeled. If you want a restaurant to compare this with, think Poke Bros - bowls, salads and ramen/bubble tea drinks. The food was good, they initially forgot to add the most important ingredient to my poke salad (the poke) lol. No big deal though, they gave me the poke when I noticed it - but check your online orders before you leave. I'd also recommend Taichi adds siracha as a condiment - they don't have it currently. The salad/bowl was really good - the poke tasted really fresh, and the portion size was decent. I'll have to come back to try their bubble tea/ramen another time. We finally made it to Taichi Bubble Tea in Mount Prospect, and it absolutely lived up to everything we expected. We had actually ordered through DoorDash before and loved it so much that we had to experience it in person and I'm so glad we did. There's tons of parking, plenty of interior seating, and the whole place is super clean and welcoming. You order through the Kiosk. We ordered ramen and the Pokémazing bowl both were fresh, flavorful, and had the perfect spicy kick. Truly delicious and fresh. My 4-year-old daughter got the burrito and devoured it, which says a lot! The boba was delicious as well. The most fun part? Depending on how much you spend, they give you tokens for their prize machines. My daughter won FOUR stuffed animal she was over the moon! The running thing is they ask if whole milk is okay? The peach rose milk tea is even in a higher level, I felt so bad on their tea and didn't want drink them and left it in my counter top for 2 days. I am surprised it did not gone bad at all in the middle of summer. As for ramen, a simple summary is " they have no idea how to make ramen." It's better to go to somewhere else. I and 3 companions came by today, 8/5/2025, for lunch. The boba drinks were delish! We ordered via the kiosk by the door. I like that you have a choice of almond milk, soy milk, or regular milk. You can also adjust the sweetness of your drink. We had shoyu ramen and miso ramen. I thought shoyu was more flavorful. Using the ordering kiosk, you can customize your ramen by adding or subtracting ingredients, and choosing your kind of meat: tofu, shrimp, pork, chicken, beef. The broth actually taste decent but doesn't taste freshly made. For prices you pay here, I'm expecting a lot more. After one experience, I most likely will not be coming back. Ordered a 2-meat poke bowl and a large Zang Zang brown sugar milk tea with half sugar. The half sugar was the right call, because like most American boba shops in the area, they put way too much sugar. I think the taste overall is maybe a bit better than other places in the area, but the higher price is not worth the difference. The poke bowl though has very fresh ingredients, and you can select each ingredient they put in it, similar to a Subway or Chipotle. I selected almost all the available options on the menu and overall was not disappointed by any of them. Strangely enough, I think the one ingredient I could have used more of was the rice. There is the option to select it as a burrito or a salad as well. I'd imagine the burrito might be a better option to get a better ratio of ingredients to rice. read more

We ordered an eel rice bowl and a beef rice bowl. The containers were very big. For the beef rice bowl, there's not a lot of meat. For the eel bowl, half of the surface was covered with pickled ginger and pickled radish. In other words, just too much rice. read more
