Coffee Haus - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Schaumburg, Illinois

Stopped by here on a whim to get the kids something to eat. Ordered a regular waffle and a waffle with green tea ice cream. The premade packaged banana marble bread was good but probably super processed. The waffle was pretty small, palm size, and the original one was served in the circular paper coffee cup holder, which is hilarious. The one with icecream was okay. Can't really taste the green tea flavor. Neither was super expensive but still probably not worth the price. Husband got a lavender latte subbed out with oat milk and it was pretty good but not impressive. Not too much lavender flavor but might not be a bad thing cuz some lavender flavor is too overpowering or artificial. This place is just ok. Staff seemed to be teens or young adults, pretty friendly and accommodating with us asking about extra plates to share with kids. read more

I was so excited to see bingsoo on the menu! This one was the traditional bingsoo made with shaved ice with a water base, rather than the milky base that many bingsoo places now use. Quite nostalgic!! We got the Oreo bingsoo, and they were incredibly generous with the Oreo pieces. The sweetest was definitely a nice complement to the ice, which didn't have flavor. Loved the chewy mochi pieces too! We also tried the matcha boba tea, which is more milk tea forward than it was matcha! Plenty of seating for big or small groups, and a huge parking lot as well. Our big group's order was ready super quick, which is a nice bonus! read more

Unfortunately there wasn't much to recommend about this coffee shop. It felt grubby. The only food available were some packaged cookies and some boxes of noodles and chips. The service was mediocre. My wife and I ordered flat whites and they were somewhere in between milky and watery. We took our coffee to go as the place didn't feel very pleasant. But we ended up throwing away the coffee after a few sips. It left a bad taste in our mouths (literally). read more

Coffee Haus has been a part of a lot of beautiful memories through their bingsoo, my favorite chai I have ever tasted, and their ice cream before my daughter was old enough to drink coffee. It is a nice location right down the street from my work and it open late so of course we have to support after work. Their seating area has also hosted my daughter and I while working on projects. It is a place of gathering, celebration, and fun! I have been thinking about the iced chai made with coconut milk I drank last Tuesday and am now figuring out when I can drive there again! read more

Met up w a friend for coffee. Decided to try Coffee Haus since the reviews were decent and we love to support small businesses. Unfortunately we both agreed it was some of the worst coffee we've had. Weak espresso. I dont think ive ever had a weak, watery Americano which is what my friend had. Even after asking for an extra shot it didn't get better. Then the chocolate flavor in the mocha tasted fake is the only way I can describe it. I ordered a waffle and they were out. No pastries to enjoy with your "coffee". Very subpar experience. Maybe it was an off day but i wouldn't return. The shop is small but has lots of seating inviting you to stay a while, but the coffee doesn't inspire one to do so and the place just appeared a bit run down. read more

I got that seasonal pumpkin cloud spiced chai. It was decent. The staff is very friendly. The menu is Korean inspired but not many Asian customers. We walked in on a Saturday night and it didn't give off a very authentic vibe. Honestly, it felt like I just walked into a regular Starbucks with the usual customers. We went into Dessert Cafe 365 afterwards and that was the correct vibe. read more

The shop provides a good selection of coffee and tea drinks as well as other drink and dessert options. We ordered a regular latte and a Matcha latte which were at good temperatures and flavors. The service was efficient and the shop was fairly quiet for conversation at the time we were there (around 3pm). The ambiance is okay, but the shop could use some minor update/repairs. One example would be repair to their flooring near the front of the counter and passage to the restrooms. There were some loose tiles/trim that could be a fall hazard. read more

Never had bingsoo before. It was so delicious. I've had the green tea and the mango which were very good. Got the bowl size so definitely enough to share. Service is pretty quick. There's plenty of tables to sit and drink your boba and have your bingsoo. read more

Their neon sign was incredibly cute and went with the rest of the decor perfectly! The employees were incredibly nice. I only tried their taro slushie and it was really good! Definitely on the sweeter side compared to others I've had, but overall, the prices are unbelievable especially for the quality. My friend enjoyed her drink as well. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area. read more

Coffee Haus has the best mango bingsoo in the area! The shaved ice is incredibly light, fluffy and flavorful, and the mango is always fresh and perfectly sweet. Highly recommend! read more

Coffee Haus would have been the place to go hang out and get desserts at if I grew up in Schaumburg. However, coming here for the first time as an adult without any nostalgia factor tied in, I wasn't impressed. The four of shared a FRUIT BINGSOO, which consisted of some shaved ice (that melted really quickly and became a soggy mess with the red bean paste), fruity pebbles, bananas, some mango chunks, strawberries, vanilla ice cream, and some sort of strawberry drizzle. After a few bites, I was done. It was too sweet and I was not a fan of the combination of toppings. The pros? Opens late and very affordable. Definitely a strong nostalgic location for those who grew up going to Coffee Haus. read more

I love ordering Watermelon Banana Bubble smoothie with Tapioca it's always a hit for my family!

For the record, I've been here many times over the years. However, things should change at this establishment. So, much of the summer there are so many kids in the cafe that ordering is a bit annoying. I see that the cafe caters to a younger crowd, and well, that's fine for me. I can take my business elsewhere. But when you're in the area, it's too bad that this place is swamping with teens. Ordered a mango bingsoo and a few other things today. The mangoes were not ripe at all. It doesn't make sense that there are large blocks of fruit that are essentially so hard and almost inedible. We fished through the whole thing and removed all the mangoes. After that, it was just a half-slushy cereal bowl. Not my favorite. Coffee also didn't taste so great. I like strong coffee, but this just kind of tasted like burnt coffee. Anyway, while I'm not trying to ever put establishments down, this is one to which I will not be coming back. read more

Been coming to this place for over 10 years and seen it change over the years. It had been a while since visiting and stopped by recently with some friends reliving our college hangouts :P Had to get the bingsoo which was just as delicious as I remembered it being. But the large disposable cup/bowl it came in wasn't very conducive for sharing nor for mixing. But yummy all the same! Great place to sit and chill, there were a handful of people either working or studying. Still the same laid back vibe that I've always remembered. read more

The cashier was very pleasant when taking my order. However, the bubble smoothie drink has gotten a bit pricey ($7 and some change). The smoothie was made in front of me and I waited around 5 minutes which is great timing because sometimes when their is more people the wait can be longer. There is some furniture to sit on but the corner lounge area looks a bit disheveled and dirty. The smoothie is good, a bit too sweet. But a nice little spot to try. read more

The drinks and bingsu are always amazing. Normally the service is ok but recently going in there the service was the worst I have ever experienced in a shop like this. No greeting when we came in. For reference no one else was in the shop this was not rear like closing or anything. The we're all sitting a circle gossiping and talking bad about people for like five minutes before they even acknowledge us. Finally, we had to call them over and ask if they were taking orders. They finally acknowledge us and looked super annoyed and took our orders. Why even have a job if you're not going to do anything and get annoyed when people come in. Hopefully they don't work there anymore because this place has amazing drinks read more

Coffee Haus is the real deal Holyfield! I've been searching near and far for a BOMB place that makes bubble tea and I've found it! There's only two places that I always go to get really good Bubble Tea. The first place is my kitchen as my wife knows how to make really good bubble tea that will rock your socks off. The second place is this sketch Vietnamese grocery store in St. Petersburg, FL. Other than that no other place I've tried around here even comes close to the good flavor of authentic Bubble Tea. That is until I found Coffee Haus. I ordered the large Taro Bubble Tea with the tapioca balls. You gotta have the tapioca balls! For a large Bubble Tea it was around $6.40 which is very reasonable. I asked for the blended Bubble Tea as that is what I like and they hit everything on point. I'm not in the Schaumburg area that much any more but I am in the area I try to make a stop at Coffee Haus cause their bubble tea is really really that good. So what are you waiting for? Go give it a try! read more

I've been going to Coffee Haus for years - nowhere else has bubble tea like this! Now due to Covid-19, there is no indoor seating, so the place is a lot more empty than it usually is. Before Covid-19, Coffee Haus would have lines almost out the door. It's a relatively small place, so we usually take our bubble tea to-go instead of lounging around there. They have an extensive menu and quality products. I highly recommend their blended taro tea with boba. Their matcha is super good too, same with their fruit smoothies. If you're in the mood for tasty bubble tea or smoothies, Coffee Haus is your place to go!! read more

Coffee Haus - Blended taro bubble tea with boba! Soooo yummy. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Schaumburg, Illinois

Stopped in here to grab some boba tea while in the area. Found this place and decided to try it. Got a taro frozen with boba and was happy. Drink was well homogenized and not chalky or clumpy which can happen with blended powder drinks like taro. The boba was well cooked and chewy. Service was fairly quick and staff were pleasant. read more

I don't know how or where to begin with the review , this place is absolutely dirty from the from entrance to the washroom is super dirty, if you think people don't notice these things you are out of your mind , the sitting area is so uncomfortable you can feel the springs on the sofas and chairs , the costumer service is super bad , you can't a barista working alone when is a busy place and with no training , if I come for a cappuccino extra foam that's what I want. If you guys don't clean this place you will see the consequences I am not coming to be serve for free i am paying and I am supporting your business so please be kind , nice and clean with your business . read more

It was my first time tried Coffee Haus. Ordered coconut smoothie with lychee. Turned out to be super disappointing. Tasted like heavy mix of lychee and coconut syrup. I rather they tell me upfront that these smoothies are only included syrup and ice. I felt it was a waste of my money tried the drink here. I don't like it at all. Service is polite and friendly. So I kept two stars for their good work. read more

I have not been to Coffee Haus for a few years and was a bit disappointed. When I entered, I immediately noticed it was dingy and definitely in need of some cleaning. There was a pile of unused chairs and tables, due to Covid spacing and Christmas tree in the corner. Since it was visible, it gave me the impression of a disorganized mess. It was not crowded, which is unusual since in the past there would be along line. I ordered a chocolate raspberry mocha and it was good, but certainly not great. The flooring was very artificial tasting and the coffee was not fresh. Service was good , but nothing about the visit stood out. read more

I visited coffee haus to have boba tea several times. I have ordered the mango smoothie as well as the watermelon smoothie with regular boba and the lychee jelly. Both items were really good. I would recommend the mango for generally everyone, and thw watermelon for people who really love watermelon! The plain boba is pretty good, but the consistency of it is a little off (it is a bit hard). The shop is also really nice to dine in and sit with friends, however, with the COVID guidelines, dine in options are limited. The service was good and I got the drinks relatively quickly. Overall, this was shop was a good vibe and definately worth going if you're in the area. read more

This is my go to place for bubble tea and their Belgium liege waffles are so good! Also if you haven't tried it their house special bingsoo is the best! First off unlike places in the city Coffee Haus is located in a plaza and has plenty of parking available. Also, they're open late and open on holidays so that you can get your dessert fix with family and friends. If you go during peak time expect about a 30 minute wait. They're busy but the goodies are worth the wait. Second, I don't know of many other places that use 100% fruit. I can't stand places that use powder. Also, no other location has soft and chewy tapioca. I don't order tapioca at other places but here I will get it in my drinks. My go to combos are strawberry mango and mango peach. Mango is in season in the summer and tastes the best then. I don't think you can go wrong with any combination of fruit here, it's whatever you like! Lastly, don't leave without getting a liege waffle or some bingsoo. I order a plain waffle and when it is freshly made it has a nice crust on the outside while it is soft and caramelized sugar on the inside. The toppings are the best in the bingsoo- fruity pebbles cereal, red beans, the softest mochi ever! read more

This is a coffee and bubble tea shop, with additional specialties like dessert waffles and pingsu, a Korean ice treat. The service takes a while, but everything is good. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Unfortunately I have to select at least 1 star to submit this review. Here's my advice to anyone who wants to order anything here. Place your order then come back in a hour. That's literally how long it takes. I went in with my gf yesterday, she just wanted a passion-fruit green tea with coconut jelly. I thought we'd be in and out in under 10 minutes, we weren't. It wasn't busy. Three employees on the clock and they cared more about socializing behind the counter than providing fast, accurate service. They f'd up the order of the couple waiting ahead of us. They also f'd up our order. "Sorry about that, we'll make it right this time." "No f'ing thanks we don't want to wait another 30 minutes." We got a refund and walked out. If I was the owner of this shop I'd be looking at the data. Number of drinks made per hour, length of time per drink made, length of wait time per customer. They are probably making half the profit they could while pissing off twice the amount of customers. If you want bubble tea fast and with good service, find another place nearby. read more
