Quite nostalgic!! We got the Oreo bingsoo, and they were incredibly generous with the Oreo pieces. The sweetest was definitely a nice complement to the ice, which didn't have flavor. Loved the chewy mochi pieces too! We also tried the matcha boba tea, which is more milk tea forward than it was matcha! Plenty of seating for big or small groups, and a huge parking lot as well. The premade packaged banana marble bread was good but probably super processed. The waffle was pretty small, palm size, and the original one was served in the circular paper coffee cup holder, which is hilarious. The one with icecream was okay. Can't really taste the green tea flavor. Neither was super expensive but still probably not worth the price. Husband got a lavender latte subbed out with oat milk and it was pretty good but not impressive. Not too much lavender flavor but might not be a bad thing cuz some lavender flavor is too overpowering or artificial. This place is just ok. The service was efficient and the shop was fairly quiet for conversation at the time we were there (around 3pm). The ambiance is okay, but the shop could use some minor update/repairs. Coffee Haus has been a part of a lot of beautiful memories through their bingsoo, my favorite chai I have ever tasted, and their ice cream before my daughter was old enough to drink coffee. It is a nice location right down the street from my work and it open late so of course we have to support after work. Their seating area has also hosted my daughter and I while working on projects. Coffee Haus would have been the place to go hang out and get desserts at if I grew up in Schaumburg. However, coming here for the first time as an adult without any nostalgia factor tied in, I wasn't impressed. The four of shared a FRUIT BINGSOO, which consisted of some shaved ice (that melted really quickly and became a soggy mess with the red bean paste), fruity pebbles, bananas, some mango chunks, strawberries, vanilla ice cream, and some sort of strawberry drizzle. After a few bites, I was done. It was too sweet and I was not a fan of the combination of toppings. The pros? Opens late and very affordable. For the record, I've been here many times over the years. However, things should change at this establishment. So, much of the summer there are so many kids in the cafe that ordering is a bit annoying. I see that the cafe caters to a younger crowd, and well, that's fine for me. I can take my business elsewhere. But when you're in the area, it's too bad that this place is swamping with teens. Ordered a mango bingsoo and a few other things today. The mangoes were not ripe at all. It doesn't make sense that there are large blocks of fruit that are essentially so hard and almost inedible. We fished through the whole thing and removed all the mangoes. After that, it was just a half-slushy cereal bowl. Not my favorite. Coffee also didn't taste so great. I like strong coffee, but this just kind of tasted like burnt coffee. Anyway, while I'm not trying to ever put establishments down, this is one to which I will not be coming back. read more

Been coming to this place for over 10 years and seen it change over the years. It had been a while since visiting and stopped by recently with some friends reliving our college hangouts :P Had to get the bingsoo which was just as delicious as I remembered it being. But the large disposable cup/bowl it came in wasn't very conducive for sharing nor for mixing. But yummy all the same! The cashier was very pleasant when taking my order. However, the bubble smoothie drink has gotten a bit pricey ($7 and some change). The smoothie was made in front of me and I waited around 5 minutes which is great timing because sometimes when their is more people the wait can be longer. There is some furniture to sit on but the corner lounge area looks a bit disheveled and dirty. The smoothie is good, a bit too sweet. But a nice little spot to try. read more

The drinks and bingsu are always amazing. Normally the service is ok but recently going in there the service was the worst I have ever experienced in a shop like this. No greeting when we came in. For reference no one else was in the shop this was not rear like closing or anything. The we're all sitting a circle gossiping and talking bad about people for like five minutes before they even acknowledge us. Finally, we had to call them over and ask if they were taking orders. Coffee Haus is the real deal Holyfield! I've been searching near and far for a BOMB place that makes bubble tea and I've found it! There's only two places that I always go to get really good Bubble Tea. The first place is my kitchen as my wife knows how to make really good bubble tea that will rock your socks off. The second place is this sketch Vietnamese grocery store in St. Petersburg, FL. Other than that no other place I've tried around here even comes close to the good flavor of authentic Bubble Tea. That is until I found Coffee Haus. I ordered the large Taro Bubble Tea with the tapioca balls. You gotta have the tapioca balls! For a large Bubble Tea it was around $6.40 which is very reasonable. I asked for the blended Bubble Tea as that is what I like and they hit everything on point. I'm not in the Schaumburg area that much any more but I am in the area I try to make a stop at Coffee Haus cause their bubble tea is really really that good. So what are you waiting for? I've been going to Coffee Haus for years - nowhere else has bubble tea like this! Now due to Covid-19, there is no indoor seating, so the place is a lot more empty than it usually is. Before Covid-19, Coffee Haus would have lines almost out the door. It's a relatively small place, so we usually take our bubble tea to-go instead of lounging around there. There was a pile of unused chairs and tables, due to Covid spacing and Christmas tree in the corner. Since it was visible, it gave me the impression of a disorganized mess. It was not crowded, which is unusual since in the past there would be along line. I ordered a chocolate raspberry mocha and it was good, but certainly not great. I visited coffee haus to have boba tea several times. I have ordered the mango smoothie as well as the watermelon smoothie with regular boba and the lychee jelly. Both items were really good. I would recommend the mango for generally everyone, and thw watermelon for people who really love watermelon! The plain boba is pretty good, but the consistency of it is a little off (it is a bit hard). The shop is also really nice to dine in and sit with friends, however, with the COVID guidelines, dine in options are limited. The service was good and I got the drinks relatively quickly. This is my go to place for bubble tea and their Belgium liege waffles are so good! Also if you haven't tried it their house special bingsoo is the best! First off unlike places in the city Coffee Haus is located in a plaza and has plenty of parking available. Also, they're open late and open on holidays so that you can get your dessert fix with family and friends. If you go during peak time expect about a 30 minute wait. They're busy but the goodies are worth the wait. Second, I don't know of many other places that use 100% fruit. I can't stand places that use powder. Also, no other location has soft and chewy tapioca. I don't order tapioca at other places but here I will get it in my drinks. My go to combos are strawberry mango and mango peach. Mango is in season in the summer and tastes the best then. I don't think you can go wrong with any combination of fruit here, it's whatever you like! Lastly, don't leave without getting a liege waffle or some bingsoo. I order a plain waffle and when it is freshly made it has a nice crust on the outside while it is soft and caramelized sugar on the inside. This is a coffee and bubble tea shop, with additional specialties like dessert waffles and pingsu, a Korean ice treat. The service takes a while, but everything is good. This is a very small shop. When we walked in it was very busy so immediately we felt cramped and a bit claustrophobic. But when people started to clear out it was much more comfortable. Staff was very kind and attentive. We got the vanilla white chocolate frappe, caramel white chocolate frappe, oreo bingsu, and mango bingsu. All the items were well made and tasty. Three employees on the clock and they cared more about socializing behind the counter than providing fast, accurate service. They f'd up the order of the couple waiting ahead of us. They also f'd up our order. "Sorry about that, we'll make it right this time." "No f'ing thanks we don't want to wait another 30 minutes." We got a refund and walked out. If I was the owner of this shop I'd be looking at the data. Number of drinks made per hour, length of time per drink made, length of wait time per customer. They are probably making half the profit they could while pissing off twice the amount of customers. If you want bubble tea fast and with good service, find another place nearby. read more
