I'm so glad I did, it was absolutely worth it! The shortcake was warm, soft, and incredibly moist. The ice cream was rich and creamy, and although the strawberries were still slightly frozen, they complemented the dessert really well. This visit completely changed my impression of the place. I left very happy and will definitely be coming back, especially while the strawberry shortcake is still in season.

I love the ice cream cones and my husband really loves the James Brownie ice cream in a cup... most of the time we order a large and split it. They have a rewards program and you can earn $5 off. They also give you a free ice cream cone on your birthday. They are always coming up with a new flavor and sometimes they have free collector cups that your ice cream is served in. You can order through the drive thru or walk up to the window and place an order. Even if the lines are long, you don't wait too long for your dreamy dessert! I recommend coming here at least once. It is definitely worth the extra cost! You can tell they use high quality ingredients. We are diabetic and even when we splurge our blood sugars don't spike as much as a lot of other ice cream places. So we prefer to come here for an occasional sweet treat!

I came here with my friends two weeks ago, and we LOVED our experience. Another reason I love this…read moreplace is because it's not just some mediocre chain with locations everywhere; instead, it's a small local chain with only two locations, one in Barlett and one in Algonquin. Walking in, you see an ice cream counter with plenty of different ice cream flavors. They allow you to sample some of the flavors, and my friends did that, but once I saw the "S'more to Love" flavor of ice cream, I just had to order it. Like any other ice cream shoppe, this one offers different types of cones. They have waffle, sugar, and dipped cones, as well as bowls and waffle bowls. There are plenty of toppings you can choose from, too! For those who are not fans of traditional ice cream, the shoppe has plenty of other menu options: shakes, malts, coffee, popcorn, sundaes, chillers, cotton candy, cannolis, tiramisu, edible cookie dough, and rootbeer floats. Only some ice cream places offer those things, so I like that this place has unique options. When we arrived, they were closing in about 30 minutes; however, the two teenage workers didn't seem to mind and allowed us to take our time with choosing our flavors. They also didn't kick us out as the time got closer to closing time, but we felt bad and left before that anyway. Price-wise, it's comparable to other places: $3.99 for a kids' scoop, $4.99 for one scoop, $6.49 for two scoops, and $7.99 for three scoops. A plain waffle bowl or cone is $1 extra, specialty waffle cones that are dipped and have peanuts are $1.75 extra, and chocolate-dipped waffle cones are $1.50 extra. Cake cones are not extra. Overall, I would definitely come back here, and my friends agreed that they would, too. The ice cream is fresh and delicious, they have many unique options, the service is friendly and quick, and they have a cute seating area.

The almonds were thinly sliced, which made them easy to eat and added a really nice texture. It's a bit far from my house, so I usually stop by only when I'm in Schaumburg for a meal, but among all the frozen yogurt shops I've tried, this one is highly recommended.

No sample cups were offered noted by a sign that stated this was for cleaning/sanitary purposes. This was a bit of a bummer as froyo can be expensive and being a customer, I'd like to ensure I like what I select. 2. The froyo dispensers did not offer a "twist" option like many others in the area do. The option is always nice to creat fun unique flavors. 3. Flavors offered were rather straight forward. Specialty offerings included 1-2 vegan options and 2-3 gluten free options noted which is nice to know for reference. 4. A lot of the candy style toppings were large/full sized items rather then broken up. This causes customers to skip all together or severely drive the price up. Would have loved to see more "pieced" toppings. Overall, this froyo spot is great if you don't want to be overwhelmed with options and don't want to wait in lines. Be cautious about taking smaller children here as the weight is easy to tack on. Favorite Flavors: Pistachio, Layered Chocolate & Birthday Cake

Le P'tit was the first to pop up on my feed and immediately caught my attention due to its unique menu, historic building, and secluded outdoor oasis for the fair weather seasons. When asked where I wanted to have dinner on my birthday, the answer was easy, L'ptit! We were greeted by the Chef Chopra outside, who welcomed us and asked us to choose the seat that suited us best in or outdoors. We chose a seat outside as it seemed most guests were enjoying the nice weather in the garden. Chef Chopra introduced himself and explained the complimentary montadito, and presented the current specials. We loved that he took time to ask what brought us in, and when we said that we were building a new home in Bartlett only minutes away, he shared that although he has been all over the world he always misses good old Bartlett, IL. This is the kind of connection and service you won't find at franchise restaurants! We enjoyed cocktails, myself a dirty tini with bleu cheese stuffed olives, and my husband the traditional old fashioned and the P'tit old fashioned - both of which he enjoyed. We ordered the hummus for an appetizer - my husband never orders humus. Not a drop was left. It was so flavorful, and since I am intolerant to gluten we loved that it was served with cucumber "chips". We will definitely order this again! Our entrees were both specials - mine the steak and shrimp tower and my husband's the Birria. We could t decide whose was better. The shrimp and steak were so flavorful and beautifully cooked, and the beef and consommé of my husband's was out of this world. My takeaways from Le P'tit: We will be there - regularly, before we move into our home, and after! Have a cocktail, they are fabulous. Talk to Chef Chopra any chance you get. He has seen the world and loves to see his guests enjoying his menu and the atmosphere of his establishment. This is what supporting local is about! Enjoy your time at Le P'tit. Savor. Take a moment to slow down, disconnect from the outside and connect with the ones around you and enjoy the wonderfully and thoughtfully prepared dishes on the menu. We can't wait to be back!

For an appetizer, I ordered the oven roasted octopus, and I highly recommend it. The marinade really brought out the flavor of the octopus, and I was impressed by how tender it was. Octopus can easily become rubbery if not prepared properly, but the texture here was soft and perfectly cooked. For my main course, I had the lobster ravioli. While the sauce was rich, creamy, and delicious, I was a bit disappointed that there weren't any noticeable chunks of lobster in the filling. We also ordered the Schaumburg pizza. I loved that all of their pizzas are cooked in a stone oven. I'm usually not a big fan of crust, but this was an exception. The flavors were well balanced, not overly sweet from the barbecue sauce, with just the right amount of savory flavor from the bacon. Everything worked together beautifully. Overall, the entire dining experience was excellent. From the food to the atmosphere, it was a very enjoyable meal. I can't wait to come back and explore more of the menu.

So, last night was that time! We walked in about 5:15 on a Sunday afternoon, and they were pretty busy! In addition, they had a guy singing acoustically with his guitar, pretty sweet! We were quickly seated, and water came instant instantaneously along with the menus. I ordered a cocktail and hubby stuck with water. He is, after all, the designated driver tonight. We decided to order Arancini and bruschetta for appetizers, while we ordered a margherita pizza for our main. Very quickly, the appetizer showed up - and the arancini's were small, but very warm to the touch and the bruschetta, while small at only four pieces, had lots of mozzarella, tomatoes, and olive oil on them just the way we like it! Needless to say, the appetizers killed it. But what about the pizza? You may ask well, it showed up and it was very hot- not only was it delicious, but it was the first pizza we've had since arriving in Chicago that had a a crust that tasted like many pizzas we ate in California - that was not a bad thing. While we sat there eating and enjoying the music, we commented on how pleasant and simple the restaurant was and more importantly, the staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Do we recommend this restaurant? Yup, and it's now on our rotation list! Try it and tell us what you think will you?
