Under new ownership Based on photos, the spot has retained the look, feel and general menu of the previous owner. It would be helpful to know menu prices (not posted with menu board). The owner was really nice and helpful with describing the menu options and offering recommendations. Both ordered drinks were refreshing- though I do wish they offered a smaller portion. I can see myself returning anytime one needs a serious pick me up!

I have been looking for a healthy meal replacement spot for a while and Village Nutrition & Energy is it! The owner graciously explained the menu to me with their offerings of shakes as well as teas. Drinks come in different sizes, options for enhancements, and utilize herbalife products for yummy flavors. There was something for everyone from fruity to sweet to coffee flavors. My drink was made in about 2-3 minutes making service fast. I sometimes worry if a shake as a meal replacement will actually be able to hold me over but this one filled me up perfectly! On top of the yummy drinks, the inside was great for instagramable moments and small group seating. There was a board posted with daily specials geared toward not just products but also ways to give back to community heroes. I highly recommend making a stop to try a drink at Village because you will not be disappointed! Tip: Follow their instagram page for updated hours of operation, seasonal flavors, etc.

Who knew that a Whole Foods on Kiddler Street would turn into a stealth Asian pantry goldmine?…read more I usually walk in into pricier grocery stores with a plan: meat, bread, home. But today, that plan was deliciously derailed. I had every intention of skipping the produce but ended up frozen in my tracks. There it was. Fresh coconut chunks. Whole tamarind pods, not paste but the real deal. Aloe. Yucca. Chinese melons. And even red-flesh dragon fruit. The kind that makes your smoothie look like it came from a fairy tale. Normally, I plan a separate pilgrimage to Jongboo, H Mart, or Seoul Market for these ingredients. Reviews for those are coming, I promise. But this was unexpected magic in a mainstream aisle. I have spent a lot of time in Asia for work and completely fell in love with the food. My husband and kids are on board, so our kitchen is a happy rotation of Korean BBQ, Japanese curry, Singapore noodles, and hot pot. And this Whole Foods just made that rotation easier. Bonus points for three kinds of figs and gorgeous flowers, both on sale. This location may say Whole Foods on the outside, but if you look close enough, it quietly says Asian market crossover on the inside. And for that, I am hooked.

Whole Foods prices with rock-bottom service. This location is a mess…read more Every visit comes with the same experience: no greeting, no courtesy, just attitude and employees who look annoyed that customers exist. It's not one bad apple it's the entire store, consistently. Quality has dropped since the Amazon takeover, prices are busted, and even basic things like bagging groceries are done carelessly. This past visit everything was crammed into one bag until it ripped on my way to the car. For "premium" prices, that's messed up. The vibe is miserable. Staff seems avoidant, unhappy and takes it out on shoppers. This store used to feel welcoming...now it feels hostile. Plenty of better places to spend your money.
