Love this place. Has a variety of dairy free, soy free, gluten free and healthy eating options. Come here about 2 times a month, with my daughter who has a dairy and apple allergy, to stock up on options for her. She loves the Vans blueberry waffles, chocolate muffins, blueberry muffins, tarts, mac and cheese, pizza, pot pie, cheese puffs, chocolate pudding and cheesecake (can also get at caputos and whole foods..more expensive..and Meijer). Meijer has the waffles, cheese, mac and cheese, yogurt, and muffins also and when it is on sale it is a better buy. If not....head to Fruitful yield for the best deal. So, just when I finally discover a Fruitful Yield not too far from home, they up and move to another location. This location. A little bit further away from home. Darn. Fortunately, this location is a few doors away from Half-Price Books. This could be delightfully dangerous. The new location (moved from Bloomingdale Road) is beautiful. The dark, wood floors are cozy and the store is spacious. All the employees seemed very friendly and down-to-earth, too (strangely, I saw all new faces -- no one I recognized from the other location). There's also a counter for a smoothie bar in the back of the store, which is yet to be open at this time. Fruitful Yield is possibly the best place to go for all the natural supplements, vegan foods, and quirky ingredients you need without a trip to Whole Foods. It has everything I need to supplement my nearly vegan diet without being too far from home. Some of the prices are a bit high and certain selections can be limited, but it is isn't too overwhelming and is generally cheaper. I saw quite a few items here that were a dollar less than Whole Foods. Shelves and freezers contain jerbs, vitamins, raw food bars, protein powders, supplements, natural skin care/makeup, non-dairy items, gluten-free breads and crackers, vegan cheeses, assorted baking ingredients, teas, food bars, oils, and the list goes on. This isn't a one-stop grocery store, but when I need that Vega smoothie powder and that type of seed and oh-my-gosh this yummy food bar, then Fruitful Yield has it for me. Kombucha for $3! This is the every day low price. Oh, and some are an additional 10% because they are a week from expiration. Really? Are you sure this is not a typo? Of course, I am going to stock up, just in case this changes. Yes, they sell non Kombucha items too. Lots of gluten free and vegan goods and many of their other items are considerably less than what you would pay at WF and there's a reward program. It is located in Bloomingdale in the same strip mall with Fox and Hound, Half Price Books, Chaming Charlies, Panera Bread and Sephora. My wallet, my gas tank and my heart are fans of the fruit yielded when shopping here. read more

Smoothie bar was good but the lady over charged me i said 12 oz 4 times but she gave me 16 and she gave me the wrong oz for the soup to. I believe it was her English otherwise she was kind. read more

Meh. I had high expectations visiting this place and when I walked in, it didn't seem that great. I'm a loyal patron to Nutrition Network which is closer to my house and an independent store. I thought since Fruitful Yield was a chain it would have something different. I guess when they open the juice bar that would be it, but that's not enough to make me switch. I went early in the day and it was really empty. Maybe nobody knows it's open yet. There are 3 or 4 lanes for checking out and one was open. They have lots of frozen products and they carry my favorite coconut creamer so that's a bonus. I walked around checking out the merchandise and not once did anyone approach me and ask me if I needed help. I was the only person in the store besides the one checking out! I was right by the freezers when someone was restocking them and they didn't ask me if I needed help either! I have lots of food allergies and have to read the labels all the time, so at places like this, I take any help I can get! Overall I felt like this place carried more non-food items, like vitamins, supplements and cleaning products and not so much food. The prices seemed higher than most places like gluten free pretzels were $7 a bag and I've seen them for $5. I can't say there's anything really wrong here, it's just a disappointment to me. read more

Nice newer store. It's located in the strip mall with the Half Price Books store and Weight Watchers. They have a smoothie bar at this location along with a very nice selection of produce. I buy all of my wild caught fish at FY because it's well... wild caught and I can trust that it is, in fact, wild caught. read more

My 70 year old Mom sends me to Fruitful Yield at least once a month for her vitamins. She spends quite a deal of money. Before hand, she researches their website and often the prices are way less than when you get to the store. However, EACH time I let the cashier know this, they act as if they are taking money out of their pockets. They never ever ever just give the price that's on their website. They act like they don't have Internet access, they act like I'm making up prices, they give me a hard time asking for screenshots, etc. and even when my mom texts me the product pictures with prices from the fruitful Yield website, the cashier still has an issue, calls another employee who is also rude and clueless, then a manager who is rude and clueless. This happened again last week and I had it. I left the store while 2 employees and a manager were trying to figure out what to do (twenty minutes later). I won't ever go back to this store again and I drive my mom to the Lombard location which has employees and managers that are kind, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. With Amazon.com, Whole Foods, Vitamin Shop and so many other places people can purchase products, this staff needs better training on how to interact with customers of all races and ethnicities and stop treating loyal customers like criminals because they want the lowest price. Worse experience ever on the 4 most recent visits. Never again will I shop there for me or my Mom. read more

Awesome store! And whoever says the prices are high simply doesn't understand how much natural products actually cost. I always compare to online prices and they match and even beat Amazon prices on some products I use. I walked in today just to browse and pick up a few items (they have a great selection to choose from) and I was asked if I needed assistance several times by the sales associates. Also the juice bar in the back looks awesome, I will be giving that a try in the near future. I will continue to be a loyal customer. read more

Best store for health food!!!! I'm doing most of our shopping for food here now!! Great healthy products!! Good cashiers, one friendly cashier lady looked up coupons for me to use.....wait for it..........ready......WITHOUT ME ASKING!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!! Real customer service in this world today!!!!!!!! I'm so impressed. Therefore at least 80% of our food budget is going there now!!! Place is clean and well organized! The only thing I would improve on is a self swipe for credit cards, their system of taking my card to swipe is outdated, also a pay app for ipod with paypal like Starbucks has would be nice! This one is okay... I usually go to the one in Schaumburg it is a much larger store and honestly I did not know that there is one in Bloomingdale... So I made my boyfriend go in with me while we were in that shopping area... We were just looking around to see how it compared to Schaumburg. I had nonstop stares, they seemed unhappy that we were there. It's very small compared to other ones with a much smaller selection. I would rather go the distance to Schaumburg any day especially with the last service that I had read more

I would really like to shop here but unfortunately I can't anymore due to the overwhelming smell. I'm not sure if it's the unwrapped soaps or the essential oil diffusers or both, but the odor is simply unbearable, I get an instant migraine upon walking in. Even worse, the smell actually lingers on my clothing, bags, and any products I purchase here. How is that even happening?!?! Turn down the diffusers guys, and put them at the back of the store instead of right by the doors so people aren't slapped in the face with them and can at least try to avoid them! Better yet, don't have them on at all! And cover the soap. I think a lot of your customer base has sensitivities and allergies, and you are making it impossible for them to shop here. read more

Staff is very friendly, I was greeted with a hello and employees always ask if I need help. The best part about the store is their juice bar! Fresh blended smoothie with no artificial flavor or sugar, who could beat that !? The girl there was very sweet and answered my questions about the smoothies and even accommodated my needs. Although I would highly recommend hiring more employees, I had to wait in line to for a few minutes because there was only one person behind the counter taking orders and making the smoothies. This used to be one of my favorite places to stop for vegan and organic items, because it is so convenient. However, after having two very vad customer service experiences there recently, I'm not sure if I'll be back any time soon. I was at this location the other day and wanted to order a smoothie. I was never greeted by the young girl at the,counter and once I finally did place an order I had to wait nearly ten minutes. I had to leave before I recieved my order due to a family emergency. Today I came back and the same girl was at the smoothie bar. She was extremely rude to me and ignored me for a long time before I finally had to greet her. She said she remembered me from the other day, and wasnt sure she wanted to make me another smoothie. I even explained to her why I had left the other day, and she said she might have to ask her manager what to do. I told her to just forget it. I have never had an issue before and this is extremely disappointing. But it seems this business does not value good customer service, and i do not find shopping here enjoyable at all. I would give this place five stars, but the service here at this particular location is sketchy. Everytime I come into the store, someone is following me acting weird. No one speaks and when I come to the register, they would ask the person infront and behind me if they have a rewards card (whatever they call it) and never address me as such. I would have to put my number in by surprising them and then they pucker up. I don't understand the problem they have with black people, but all people is possible of stealing, so its so ridiculous. I have spent hundreds there, so I still do not understand. Also, last week i went to the juice bar and there were two ladies behind the counter, one walked to the back and the other spoke to me and walked out from the counter. Never asked me if I need anything. I had to hit the bell and the same girl that spoked to me and walked away from the front of the counter, came from the back magically! I love the finds at this store being new to healthy living but the experience I get here is horrible. I never get this at whole foods. The two stars is because I actually like the store, but other than that they should get a 1 star for service. read more
