I ended up leaving with "Stone Free" tablets, glucosamine pills for our senior dog, chocolate chips, and facial products! I was excited to see Derma E products here, which I often ordered online from other stores in the past. Derma E has a reliable product line with options for many different skin types and for all ages. This store had one of my favorite products, the microderm facial scrub. It's a little pricey for a small jar, but a little goes a long way. I am happy to know I have a place close to home for my favorite skin care products. I also didn't know they have a little produce section here and some of my favorite refrigerated brands, like Califia Farms creamers and SO DELICIOUS coconut yogurt. So I recently have taken to placing some orders for supplements and other items online and picking them up from VS's retail store near where my work is located. This made things easy for me, but today I saw my PayPal statement grace my email inbox and imagine my surprise when I saw that my single purchase of just over 30 dollars was instead charged and deducted from my account 7 times! So, yeah, suffice it to say I was not pleased by this to put it mildly, but I still maintained professionalism and placed a call to their customer service 800 number. In my initial call the lady who answered my call was unable to offer any assistance and told me she had escalated my case and told me I would shortly receive a call back. Several hours later this was not the case, so I called them back. This time I was placed on the line with a rather hectic sounding gentleman who basically told me "ummm, we should have it handled in 2-3 days time" and quickly got me off the phone. Call me crazy, but when a vendor has an unauthorized charge for over 150 bucks do I not deserve more swift and definitive resolution? In the past when I have infrequently had problems with Paypal transactions from vendors, they process a refund instantaneously when they realize the error. That there was almost nonexistent sense of urgency is troubling to me on multiple levels. Not to mention, what if I was in a position where I could not afford to be out the 150 bucks? In any event, I have filed a dispute with Paypal, and I will await action from VS and update this review accordingly, but I would say it's more than safe to assume that I will be taking my business to GNC or bodybuilding.com for my sports nutrition needs moving forward. The worst part is that there's a guy named Luis who's racist and rude. After I tell him my name which is a foreign name on the prescription, he had an attitude against me. This guy cut me off a few times and never let me finish my desired solution and doesn't have a can-do attitude. However, since moving out of the local area- I haven't visited Enlightened in a long time. I stopped in to pick up some Rev concentrate. I placed my order online ahead of time- as I would have an Uber wait while I grab my pre-order. The dispensary inside is one of the most gorgeous in IL. The displays are colorful and sure to catch the eye. For the first time consumer, this is the place to go. The menu selection is impressive. Flower, extracts/concentrates, edibles, topicals, vapes. They also have a solid selection of merch and canna gear. They do have an ATM on site- as well as accepting debit cards. There is a small charge to use debit, so be aware of this. I entered the dispensary and headed straight for the checkout line. The place was pretty empty, MAYBE a handful of folks. A few in line checking out. I have never seen a place move so slowly in my life. I'd hate to see a busy weekend day. My Uber got tired of waiting, so it costed me money to summon another driver. The cashier was like watching paint dry. You should be able to be in and out. Instead, everything moves at a glacial pace. Offer a dedicated online pickup line. I also would love to see a bit more "pep" in the step to move people along. It shouldn't take 15 minutes of waiting with a handful of customers. Adding additional staff or registers would be extremely beneficial. As a first time visitor to that location, I did get 30% off. I truly appreciate it. The sale was very good. But I'll be honest: 10% off for medical is insulting compared to the competition. Most other dispensaries offer 15-25% off. They certainly can do better on this. I did appreciate the complimentary edible with an $80 purchase, thank you! I will certainly visit again when in the area, but as a seasoned cannabis consumer and med patient- I probably wouldn't go out of my way to visit there with how long it took to get in and out.
