This is not my "home" Trader Joe's, but one I frequent, especially when doing a weekly stock up of groceries AND other supplies. The layout doesn't always make sense to my brain, but when it doesn't, the staff is usually kind to either grab the item or point me in the right direction. The manager also offered over the summer to take pre-orders for items for the marching band that I feed. It helped me avoid feeling like a donkey and buying out one item in stock. Trader Joe's is a nice shopping experience. You'd be surprised at the variety of unique items in each area of the store! The prices for the products are very reasonable considering they are gourmet quality, fresh often direct from the producer. The store is kept spotless and is very well organized. They had really nice boxes of ripe Georgia peaches today (7/2/25). The Ezekiel bread is brought in fresh not frozen and a super bargain at only $5.99 a loaf!! The other grocer's are in the frozen section and charge $7.99 on sale! The flower section is really nice and offers large & small bouquets for everyone's pocketbook! read more

Who doesn't love Trader Joe's? This Trader Joe's is superb! Located in the Woodfield shopping center area (across the street), this Trader Joe's location is awesome. There's ample parking and the store itself is medium-sized with the friendliest staff and stocked products. During the peak of Covid, they would constantly sanitize the store and make sure only a number of people are inside at all times (there would be an employee at the door counting and monitoring). I always felt safe, clean, and taken care of here! This is my go-to, every weekend Trader Joe's. Quick vibe check? Obsessed. Longer version? Read on, friends. The parking lot can be a bit of a nightmare lasted in the day and sometimes mid-day on a Friday. I wouldn't recommend coming here beyond 2pm on a Saturday or Sunday, but mainly because the store has been shopped HARD by then. The layout here is soooo nice. I know this store like the back of my hand. Blindfolded. It's open and airy too. The staff are generally helpful, but I've found that at this location they aren't going out of their way to help you. I don't know how I haven't reviewed Trader Joe's yet! And I don't know how I ever lived without Trader Joe's in Schaumburg. They have fantastic prices on flowers! It's an excellent place to stop in for flowers that look good or plants to grab as a gift. I also think there prices on premade frozen food is great. Asparagus risotto for $3? Don't mind if I do! Cauliflower or sweet potato gnocchi? So many nomz and again less than $3. Their orange chicken isn't $3 but it's the stuff that legends are written of. Go around the holidays and find adorable advent calendars for insanely low prices, just a couple bucks. Staff is always great here, store is always well-stocked, clean and organized. The parking lot can be a pain sometimes but TJs seem to all have mini parking lots. What's up with that!? read more

I absolutely love this Trader Joe's location. It's always so clean, the workers are so nice and helpful, and we always find something new to try when we walk in the store. We normally come here for dips, such as the jalapeno cauliflower dip, the spicy hummus, the everything bagel without the bagel dip, and the French onion dip. We also love coming here for the bakery-style breads/bagels. The parking lot does get busy because of all of the stores around, but don't let that stop you from coming here. We still normally find parking near the store. read more

Trader Joe's is always a fun place to visit, try some samples, pick up staples and more. But right now, they have their safe shopping process down well, from the entry with a clean shopping cart to heading out their doors. And no more sampling in store for now. I can always find what I need with a little extra in my bag of items that I want to try. The prepared food section have unique and tasty salads, like Asian noodle salad with chicken breast, and kale crunch salads. The cheese and meat section is a favorite of mine for naking a nice charcuterie board. And the fresh bread loaves and baked goods...yum! The "Brookie?!" Dangerous for my caloric intake but so good especially with coffee or ice cold skim milk. And I love the little corner of beer, wine and spirits you can grab to compliment the fresh foods you choose. The peach bellini in a bottle is so good. Thankful for the caring staff of Trader Joe's and thoughtful customers here too. #ThankfulThursday A favorite recipe of mine is Magnolia cafe's chocolate banana pudding. I love using the Belgian chocolate pudding and bananas from Trader Joe's for this recipe. While prices seem a little higher here than our local Jewel or Valli produce nearby, I feel you can shop safe; shop fast at this easy in-and-out Trader Joe's location. read more

They are doing a great job keeping people safe during Covid. They are quite organized, limiting the number of customers inside. They've cordoned off part of the parking lot w/ carts and caution tape in order for people to line up safely outside, even offering cold water while you wait. This is my favorite Trader Joe's location. It's not very big but it has the essentials. The staff at this location are super friendly and just so pleasant to be around. This store is always stocked up and very organized. I have been to other locations in the area that are not organized properly and it makes things hard to find. Some of my favorite things at Trader Joe's is first the triple ginger cookies they are light crispy and super addictive the same thing goes for the toasted coconut ones. Their garlic infused olive oils are amazing especially on pasta with a little sprinkle or pram. They also now carry a cauliflower pizza crust in the frozen section so amazing and a healthy alternative. All you do is follow the directions on the back of the box cooking the crust first then add your toppings bake for a little longer and out pops perfection. Trader Joe's also has a great selection of wine for awesome prices ( I have purchased wine for like $5... SCORE). I love Trader Joe's it's so affordable and great quality products. My first time shopping here was last night, the place was clean and the shelves were well stocked and nicely organized. The employees/staff were very helpful in assisting me to locate a couple of items. The checkout clerks were efficient and polite. She even asked me if I needed some assistance in getting my groceries to my car, because I was utilizing the handicap electric mobility cart. I like shopping here, my only complaint is that there is only one handicap electric mobility cart, the management needs to add a couple more. If the cart had not been there, I would not have been able to walk thru all those aisles without suffering great pain in my legs....besides that, I highly recommend shopping here. read more

I'm a fan of this store because you can buy loads of groceries for a fairly good price. The store carries healthy products. You can find here sugar free chocolate and protein bars. The food is good and healthy and the prices are good, the lines can be very long around 5pm-7pm. I'd say the stuff at this Trader's are extra helpful and very friendly. They ready to help you finding something if you don't know where it is. While there's always a crowd the checkout line goes extremely quick. I like their return policy as if you don't like something, even if you open it, they allow you to take it back. I was once not a fan of their mayo so they let me get something else. Now that's service I can count on. From their crackers, to different spreads, to ketchup and a fantastic dessert section, they literally have it all in one place. They also carry a lot of organic products which I'm a fan of so I can count on them for that as well. This is by far my favorite Trader Joe's location. Always worth the trip! read more

This is one of my favorite Trader Joe's. It is located across the street from Woodfield mall, but has ample parking. The store is organized well and always stocked. The selections are well organized .Their customer service it great and check out is always fast, efficient and pleasant. I especially like their frozen burgers, cauliflower rice and mushrooms. I love this Trader Joe's. The staff is so friendly and so willingly to help in any way. I called yesterday and asked about truffle butter and they said it was a seasonal item and that it was ordered and will arrive on their trucks today. So they kept 2 tubs aside for me so that I can pick them up after work. But of course I can never walk out of TJ's with just what I had in mind. I end up buying so much because everything they sell is so good and reasonably priced. I picked up some chicken gyoza ($3/bag), 2 different bottles of Italian Pinot Grigios ($5/bottle), Mini Stroopwafels from Denmark ($3/bag), and a variety of frozen quiches. The staff here are super friendly (especially the cashiers!), and all the items seem to be well-stocked and well-kept. I was surprised at their meat section, as this particular location seems to have more of a variety in terms of poultry and sausages. Flowers/plants, breads, teas, condiments, fresh produce, cheeses/sausages, ready-made salads, nut and dried fruit mixes, wine/beer/juices, and desserts are some of the items that they offer. I love checking out their 'Fearless Flyer' (free, and by the entrance) for some current recipes and items of the week. I also love that they sell Kringles (just Pecan flavor for now), as that is a scrumptious dessert! I enjoy getting the pies, their organic bananas, and their strawberry lemonades. Trader Joe's is a place you go to when you're looking for specialty items and aren't looking to spend a million bucks. This location is nice and has most of what I am looking for. They have a decent amount of produce, although I prefer local produce people. I come here for groceries, as it's inexpensive and they have a great selection of wines. The layout is slightly weird. Crackers are in two aisles, cookies are mixed with some frozen. I think that's a TJ thing. Regardless the people are friendly and they move quick. I like coming here and the staff here help me out anytime I need it. read more

This is a nice little Trader Joe's, although I'd put the emphasis on "little;" it seemed smaller than other stores, although I saw everything I normally buy so maybe it's just the layout. What is the same are the super friendly employees! I don't know how TJ's finds these people, but everyone I've interacted with in their stores across several states has been incredibly kind and happy. Also as-per-usual were samples. This time, they were offering seasonal specials (ahem, pumpkin pie 'n things). They also had a gorgeous selection of fresh flowers and lots of holiday treats. The icing on the cake was the card reader. "The card reader...?" you say? Why, yes. That regular old card reader -- because it wasn't regular here! They programmed it to gobble, instead of ding, when your transaction processed, and I nearly died laughing. It caught me so off guard and totally made my day, which made my cashier's day (he started laughing hysterically at my reaction). Amazing. :)) read more

I'm giving this Trader Joe's 1 Star. They are currently limiting the number of shoppers in their store, according to CDC Guidelines - HOWEVER, they are not currently enforcing the mask protocol. The CDC recommends wearing a mask in public at all times, and the mask MUST cover the nose and mouth. This shopper was in their store for at least 30 min. this way, and I brought it up to several employees who promised to notify the manager. I saw this woman again in the checkout line, still wearing her mask off of her face. I spoke directly with the manager and his response was that they cannot ask patrons who are not wearing masks to leave. Why? Why bother limiting the number of customers if you don't enforce the mask wearing? This is incredibly backwards and moronic. DO BETTER TO PROTECT YOUR CUSTOMERS AND EMPLOYEES. read more

Trader Joe's is my go-to store here in Schaumburg and based from my previous experience this store is definitely a type of hit or miss grocery store. There are good things that I like about this store and there are also things that are not. When the pandemic started, I've seen the store put and provide everything just to make sure that the store is clean and to ensure the safety of every customer. I also want to thank this store including their employees for being the convenient and safest grocery store I could have before the pandemic until now. They have a good customer service and of course, they also have wonderful selections of grocery items and all. I could not say much about their products but I just know that everything they have, literally every selection they have is fresh, in a good quality and at a reasonable price. But there are also a few times that the important product or other necessities I needed is out of stocks and there are also times that I talked with a very rude staff. read more

Grocery shopping is so much fun. I love all of their unique products and items that you cant find anywhere else. They have a pretty amazing variety of products for vegans. Im always trying my hardest to eat vegan but fail almost everyday. My favorite find here is the nutritional yeast it costs like $8 at other grocery stores and here its $4. Everytime I shop i have to get their bbq chips its only $1.99 and sooooo delicious. They have a large variety of non dairy ice cream too, I usually end up picking up a new flavor. This time I came in I noticed a new juice called agua fresca, it is pineapple, mango and mint flavored. I tried it and really liked it, and will be back soon to pick up more. I just love the fact that I can grab all my favorite items and be out in just minutes from when I came in. No need for buying in high quantity or the use of an APP. Also no pricing gimmicks ever! Pricing for some products maybe more expensive, HOWEVER for many staple items you will find pricing far less than shopping at Jewel even when on sale. This place is always clean, spacious, properly organized and fully stocked. I like going in here because they have quality products that I needed. They have a parking but it is a bit hard sometimes. Produce section is wide and always fresh. They also have few specialty items. The prices are fair and reasonable that is why it was always worth it each time I go in here. There is one time that I am in a rush and I still need to buy my groceries and good thing is that the store is not crowded and I am able to get everything I needed in a quick and the checkout is pretty quick too! I just left this location and was disappointed in their COVID protocols. The store was over crowded, staff did not enforce proper mask wearing, some of the staff didn't even have masks on over their nose and mouth. I did not see a place to sanitize my hands either. I stopped in here for a while and just needed to buy a few things but their selections of groceries, necessities and everything is really great and their produce, meat and seafood section are all fresh and in a good quality. I had my groceries in here unplanned and I considering their reasonable and great prices made me decide to buy enough and literally everything I needed at home. It is not my usual grocery store and I kind of like the experience so I would definitely be back. The prices are really great and in fact it is also cheaper compared to the usual grocery store I go to. The staffs are also friendly and helpful. Finally a traders joe close to me!!!! 3 stars for location, friendly staff, and cookie butter!!! Located across Woodfield mall, this TJ is situated in the best location possible. Although they don't have plenty of staff available for questions, the ones at the checkout were friendly. And c'mon, they have cookie butter, that alone gets a whole star! Why did I stop at 3 stars? Because of variety and value. For variety, I would go to Whole Foods. For value, I would go to Mariano's. I will most definitely come back for cookie butter and coconut chips. read more

Full disclosure - while I'm not much of a shopper, I do like Trader Joe's. We've been going to the one in Lake Zurich for many years and occasionally to the one in Arlington Heights. Having one in Schaumburg is much more convenient. Unlike the other stores I mentioned above, this one is very large. We went the second weekend they were open and I expected to see huge crowds and long lines. Fortunately, we picked a great time. While there were a lot of people there, they were prepared at checkout and there was no significant wait. Trader Joe's has a great selection of products you can't find in many other places. They have their own wine - lovingly referred to as "Two-Buck Chuck" (Charles Shaw Winery). It's not the best, but at $2.99 a bottle, you really can't beat it. They also have an outstanding selection of flash frozen fish - at much better prices than other stores and they have a wide variety of types of fish. Their produce is always outstanding, but tends to be a little higher in pricing than other stores. And, they have a variety of meats - some prepared, that are also very good. The best two things about Trader Joe's are (1) their selection and pricing, and (2) the friendliness of their staff. No matter where I go to a Trader Joe's, the staff seems like they want to be there. Their attitude helps secure five stars for Trader Joe's. read more

Oh my! You could cut the level of pretentiousness in the air at this joint with a Katana blade. Unlike the vast majority of my reviews here on Yelp, I am going to keep this one relatively short, which is fitting considering I was only there about 5 min and walked out. Several people I know have encouraged me to check this place out, so instead of my normal trip to Mariano's on Sunday, I diverted to Trader Joe's. While I admit much of my reaction to this place is of a personal nature, which is why I left 3 star "A-OK" intact, I can't imagine a world in which mentalities like this rule the Earth. Like other stores of it's type, it's stocked to the hilt with organic items of every variety imaginable. Need a certified organic belly button lint plucker? You are in the right place. They also tow the line for several other flavor of the week buzz words in the organic foods movement that have about as much rational/scientific basis as an Oprah episode. Also, not surprisingly, about everything here comes at a minimum 25-35% markup over a conventional product. Hell, it is even expensive by organic food standards. I have no problems whatsoever with people taking a more proactive approach to healthy eating, as I find it highly beneficial. However, like any other aspect of life, anything taken to extremes can become downright creepy. Trader Joe's is the final result of people who take the whole "certified organic", "green", "free range", etc. marketing terminology to an unhealthy level (pardon the pun). This place is strictly for those who view their involvement in organic foods in much the same way that Al Qaeda does Islam. For the rest of us? There is a Mariano's down the street. Now if you will excuse me, I think I am going to go buy a Hummer now and purchase stock in a plastics manufacturer. read more

The closest TJs to me and still a daunting 45 minute drive. But, worth every bit of time spent in the end. I must stock up on my Balela, salads, goddess dressing, and freeze-dried mango slices not to mention the incredibly cheap alcohol they sell. Not quite as big as other store locations I've been to but hey, I won't be too picky after a 45 minute drive. This store is a busy persons paradise. You can buy ready made dinners from the frozen section, salads, soups; all for less than what you would pay at a restaurant or cafeteria. The other plus is the ready made stuff actually isn't bad for you ( unless you eat spanakopita and flatbreads every day ) and is made with whole ingredients that you can pronounce. Make sure you buy at least 2 bottles of the goddess dressing. It's one of their most popular items, sample their hot daily food section and grab some free coffee! read more

I've always heard negative things about Trader Joe's as a company from my family. I heard things like it was for snobs and hipsters. I don't consider myself either of these things so I was hesitant to go in. My brother-in-law lives across the street from Trader Joe's in Lincoln Park, Chicago, and he swears by it. His family always shops there--adding to the hipster stereotype. I've had coworkers and friends tell me they love Trader Joe's. I've tried food and wine from there but never shopped there myself. I also heard it was expensive. One day I was at school and my friend wanted to stop in, so I went with her. I didn't get anything but looked at everything. Then a few weeks later, I decided to go in to see if I could get something for lunch, I've heard they had healthy, organic and tasty options. I walked in and went into their frozen aisle, and found exactly what I was looking for-frozen wonton soup. I kid you not, I was telling my husband I wish we could get wonton soup minus the restaurant and there it was! (I believe in the law of attraction too.)... anyways. The price was great. I bought that and an unsweetened oolong tea and some fruit strip snacks. Less than $10 on lunch. I went back again less than a week later and was able to get frozen truffle mac and cheese (another craving I've been having, but didn't want to go to Noodles and Co.) Today I went in for the wine I've tried before-Moscato with Peach, a Trader Joe's exclusive- for the holiday weekend. Then decided with break around the corner maybe grabbing some groceries so I don't eat out all week. I got some great, healthy options and the prices were not horrible. I told my personal trainer earlier this week about shopping at Trader Joe's and he agreed with their great food options. He also stated that when you want to eat well and healthy, you might have to pay a little more. I've been doing a lot to eat better and keep myself healthy. Trader Joe's has been helping me with that. Only reason they lost a star is because their drink options are limited. They don't really have anything I like as grab and go drinks... they have other options like big bottles but I like the single use products for school. Also the layout, maybe I'm just not used to it yet, but I always seem to be walking back and forth throughout the store.. I'll definitely be back. The staff are always friendly and helpful.
