That's really the only reason I come here. I know there's plenty of other Grocery stores out there that will give you more bang for your bucks, like Garden Fresh and Caputos. In fact, Ive been finding myself going more and more to Garden Fresh as they have fresher produce at a much lower price, and they offer allot more exotic fruits and vegetables from other countries from Asia and south America. With Jewel, I found some of their more exotic fruits way overpriced, such as their avocados, Kiwi fruits, papaya and mangos (which is not the ripest) so I don't even bother buying here. For everyday Household necessities, like toilet paper, garbage bags, and shampoos, I go to Target as they are substantially lower in price. Also, I noticed Jewel will sometimes offer their packaged salads on sale for 50% off, but have noticed the expiration date had expired. The nice thing about this location is the employees are pretty friendly and more then happy to assist you, and the store is always well kept and clean.

Lots of Indian snacks (chat) and sweeets as well. While I am curious to try them all eventually, I stick to what I know. The tapioca chips struck me as a more exotic type of snack and then there are the plantain chips, which are popular even in my filipino ethnicity. The owner was very nice and helpful to offer an array of different foods to me as I perused the stores. One thing this supermarket does is on Fridays at 6pm, they get in a supply of hot food, chicken biryani, chicken kabob, goat biryani, goat kabob, and of course samosas. They have samosas everyday, so, stop by regularly and get a few, they are only 80 cents a piece! YUM! Definitely going to frequent this establishment again and again. Also, they have a small video section for those who are curious to watch some Indian bollywood movies. Something for everyone! :)

You can probably find just about anything you need there. It kind of reminded me of Meijer but larger. The layout of the store is very confusing. Specialty items like gluten-free items can be mixed in with regular items, set off by themselves, or both. So, finding them wasn't that easy. From what we read of Woodman's before going, the did get good reviews on the amount and variety of gluten-free products. The same can be said for anything dairy-free. Their TV commercials talk about their great prices. I agree the items we saw on sale tended to be bargain, but the rest of the store seemed high. They are probably less expensive than Jewel, but more expensive than Valli Produce. We did get a lot while we were there and the total price was higher than we expected. So, overall, if you check their website for items on sale and you are near to a Woodman's, then by all means, the value is great. But if you don't live close to a Woodman's (like me), they aren't a great value but do have lots of specialty items.

It is a free standing building, located within the strip mall in downtown Bartlett. Because the building was newly built, they modeled it as the new generation of Aldi stores and it set-up exactly the same way as the store that recently opened near our home in Long Beach, CA. It's a very modern store, with a ton of self checkout lines. They still have the quarter-enabled shopping carts (you need a quarter to unlock a shopping cart, and you get it back when you return it), but now they accept credit cards. The prices are still really good, and it had probably the best selection of meat and produce I've seen at an Aldi. It had a good selection of gourmet cheeses, and even picked up a couple bottles of their house brand of wine (Winking Owl).

I recently discovered a fantastic Hispanic grocery store that has quickly become my go-to for fresh vegetables and fruits. The assortment they offer is impressive; I can always find a wide variety of vibrant, seasonal produce that meets my needs. I appreciate that the pricing is quite reasonable, especially considering the quality of the items. The store itself is well-maintained, with a clean and organized layout that makes shopping a pleasant experience. It stands out compared to some of the other places I usually visit. The sign says International and the store is everything but. I went to try their Carnitas and they weren't as flavorful as my friends say. I also went during one of their anneversary sales to buy some limes and they were the smallest limes ive ever seen. Some of their merchendice is overpriced. Overall this place is OK. read more

Imagine walking into a supermarket, but then you discover it's also home to a charming bakery, a refreshing Michoacana, and, most importantly, a bustling taco stand tucked away in a corner. It's like a little culinary adventure all under one roof. When I first got to the taco stand, I wasn't entirely sure of the drill. There were a few bench tables, and I wondered if it was table service or if I should order at the small, somewhat unassuming entrance. A younger fellow was taking orders there, and while he efficiently guided me on what to do,order there, pick up when your name's called by the guisado stand, I have to say, his demeanor wasn't the warmest. A friendlier face at the counter would definitely make the initial interaction a bit more welcoming, especially for first timers like me. The main supermarket area looked sparkling clean, but the taco corner itself felt a bit more lived in, shall we say. It was quite cozy, almost a bit cramped, and the tables and floor could've used a little extra attention. That small, almost closet like door where you order definitely adds to its rustic charm, but it also made me pause for a second before committing to my meal. It was interesting to see a good number of local workers stopping by for their lunch always a good sign of authentic food. On a super positive note, the folks cooking up the food were an absolute delight. They were genuinely friendly and incredibly helpful, which really brightened the whole experience. Okay, onto the good stuff the food. I started with a steak burrito, and let me tell you, it was generously portioned and packed with flavor. It was absolutely delicious, though I'll admit, it was quite the gloriously messy and delightfully greasy affair to eat. Definitely needed a few extra napkins. Then came the tacos. I tried a variety steak, lomo, al pastor, cecina, and chorizo. Most of them were seriously tasty. The only one that didn't quite hit the mark for me was the chorizo the flavor just didn't quite work. But here's a little secret I discovered the cecina and lomo meats are incredibly flavorful on their own. If you try them straight up, maybe with a little cilantro, onion, and salsa on the side wow, they are truly amazing. In the taco, they can sometimes feel a tad dry, but separating them out transforms them into something spectacular. The prices were quite reasonable, which is always a bonus. Overall, I'd definitely go back for more tacos especially now that I've figured out the best way to enjoy those cecina and lomo. I think next time I'll opt for takeout, and hopefully, the friendly energy of the cooks might rub off on the order taker at the front. It has a lot of potential and some truly delicious offerings.

It is more Polish now but, in my opinion, better. A slight revamp upon entry. They have a much better deli. They have a great hot item 9.99 per lb bar. The meat department seems to look better. I'm happy to see the same nice people working there. Looks promising!
