Life Cafe's philosophy is to provide clean, healthy food to the people using the facilities. That means no high fructose corn syrup, no artificial ingredients, organic and gluten-free options, and so forth. To my surprise, they actually do a good job of sticking with this philosophy and creating a yummy menu. They also make a variety of smoothies with fruits, juices, yogurt, and milk (almond milk available for $.50 more). Whey protein is added to nearly all smoothies but you can request VeganMax protein instead, which is Lifetime's vegan protein supplement. SWEET. (I hate whey.) My husband ordered the savory roast beef sandwich and I had a wild-caught grilled salmon salad with a smoothie. The food is made fresh behind the counter so there is a slight wait. However, you're able to sit at the table and hang out until they bring the food to you (you're given a number sign when you order). My husband's sandwich seemed kind of small; yet, my salad was huge. They were both REALLY GOOD -- much better than we had expected from a place inside a fitness center. My strawberry/banana/orange juice smoothie was good although I could taste the protein powder with every sip. I got used to it. I wish they had more veggie smoothies. The cafe has a good amount of tables, large windows, and shelves of products for sale. I pretty much ignore the walls of products, but the snack bars are cool. So what's the catch? Why the four stars? The food is EXPENSIVE! Kyle's sandwich and my salad were nearly $9 each. I realize that the quality is amazing (and heck, Lifetime's membership isn't cheap) but I just can't afford to pour more money into this place. I'm still glad we tried it!

First, I stood at the register for about 5 minutes. Several employees saw me, but no one acknowledged me. I just stood there awkwardly while they all continued doing other things. That alone already felt rude and unwelcoming. When someone finally came to take my order, I asked for a matcha frappuccino, but they gave me a matcha latte. I respectfully let them know, and instead of just remaking it professionally, I could hear them talking to each other through their headsets right in front of me, saying things like, "No, she ordered a latte." Not only could I clearly hear them, but I had also politely and clearly stated that I ordered a frappuccino. They took the drink back and gave me a second one but it was clearly just the latte blended with ice. It was watery, runny, and nothing like a real thick frappuccino. When they handed it to me, one of them even pointed at the drink and said, "That's a frappuccino," like I didn't know what I was talking about. I replied, "Yeah, I know. That's what I ordered -- not a latte." And then they continued talking about me over the headset again. It was just so unnecessarily rude and uncomfortable. The staff were slow, dismissive, and clearly lacked basic customer service skills. After reading some other reviews, I realize I'm not the only one who's had this experience. Now the place keeps 6 snacks roughly in their tray and other gambling facility's have snacks in abundance so we can enjoy them without asking the workers. This location is not as clean as it use to be and the environment isn't as welcoming. The new girl in the day was very rude and had no customer service skills I ended up leaving after a few minutes. Deffinatly would think twice about coming to this location
