    Chicken Puff

I came in today excited to try Shibam. I initially tried it first at a convention 3 years ago in Chicago. I loved the Adeni chai and told them then that they should come to Chicago. I ordered the adeni chai, Abrar's Chocolate PB smoothie and Chicken puff. First, the adeni chai. The chai was good for the most part but lacked a bit more spice. It was a bit bland. Overall, I think if they added a bit more spice it would add that touch that makes them stand out amongst the thousands of adeni chai in this city. It was missing something compared to when I tried it originally. The staff was nice and answered all questions. The ambiance was very aesthetic and welcoming. The Abrars smoothie was good, I asked what elements went into the smoothie and loved that they used fresh ingredients like real banana, pb, dates and whey protein with less additives. Keep that up. The chicken puff was not good at all. First, it was $6.99, which I did not mind paying but the quality of the product was below average. They heated it up but it seemed old and the chicken inside was like a paste. It seemed like it had been sitting for a while and it was just a big glob of mush altogether. I wish it was more dry, and lacks flavor. This needs to be better. At this point, I don't know if I would ever try any other food here.

We loved visiting Shibam Coffee! It's the cleanest coffee shop we've ever been to, and the design is just luxurious and beautiful, plus the service is top, they clearly have an eye for visual taste. The desserts are out of this world; we tried the tiramisu cup and I can't even explain how delicious it was. The coffee itself is also excellent. If we lived nearby, this would absolutely be our go-to every morning.

We tried Shibam while visiting and we are happy we did! We were in the mood for pistachio and loved what Shibam has to offer. We had a pistachio iced latte which was great and a pistachio crème brûlée in a chocolate cup, which was also amazing. They also had a ton of choices for other food so you won't be dissapointed. The service was also good. Everything came out super fast and the staff were friendly. The interior of the store itself is super nice and luxurious. Awesome place to work probably and it's just comfy overall. Will definitely be back!

This place was previously a bank that has now been turned into a beautiful Yemeni coffee shop. Newly opened as of June 2025 and has lots of potential for being 5 stars. The space was designed well thought out. There are large windows that allow for the natural light to show case how gorgeous it is. Service lacked - I think with time they will get their kinks worked out, I hope haha. My friend and I stopped in at 830am on a Saturday. After ordering it took about 25-30 mins for our 2 drinks to be prepared. We noticed that people who ordered after us were receiving their items before us. I tried the pistachio latte and thought it was standard. I wasn't blown away with it and thought it was just fine. The pistachio flavoring was on the subtle side for me. Kind of nutty but not really. I did taste the coffee component of it. I'll come back to try other items and *fingers crossed* I'll up the stars. I personally think they may need a little more time.

Another yemeni coffee spot opened up and I love it. I'm happy to see so many of these coffee shops opening up. They're always so elegantly decorated and clean on the inside. I went to their soft opening and a handful of times after that. They're new so I understand they're working on some things. Little minor things hot vs iced. For here or to go. And they did fix my order when they made it incorrectly. So far I've had the iced pistachio latte, iced brown sugar shak'n, and honeycomb. All great choices it's so hard to choose. I've seen it so busy at night. I'm hoping this place sticks around. They have great drinks and friendly service. I'm sure I'll be back frequently since it's so close. Definitely stop in and grab a drink especially to beat this heat!

We tried their adeni tea and it's good. I coukd definitely taste the cardamom. Not too sweet and taste healthy. My friend said it did not spike his sugar. The place looks really fancy. You could rent the room of you want privacy. The only negative i could comment is they used those small paper cups instead of ceramic cups. The waiter said it's only at night since they do not have washer at night.

Pretty good coffee shop! Plenty of indoor seating and beautiful decor. A great spot to do some work or chat with friends. Service was quick and easy. We got the iced pistachio latte and pistachio tiramisu cake. Both were tasty! Prices are slightly higher here but overall good experience.

The pistachio latte was the best I've ever tried. The atmosphere is brilliant. The cheesecake was great. ( My review is for the Kedzie Ave cafe ~ Chicago )

    Mmuzk ..

Paid a top price (around $11 including Sales Tax) for a small milk cake except the cake didn't have any milk in it! Notified the person at the cash register. The on-duty manager came over and told me they would notify the vendor! Yep, that's it! Not even a dry "Sorry" in his insincere dry response! Because, owning up a mistake and saying a sincere "SORRY" is forbidden and totally HARAM in most Halal businesses! They think they're only selling Halal here, not the quality of products and services!

I've visited this coffee house a few times -- three times with my family and once with our management team for a meeting/get-together. I've tried different drinks each time, but unfortunately, the flavors just haven't been to my taste. The food and pastries are decent, though. The décor is beautiful, and the staff at both the register and handoff area have always been friendly and welcoming.

They do have a variety of options for coffee/tea and salty/sweet dessert. I ordered a Adani Chai and a Pistachio tart, and sit in studying for a while. The tea tasted thick and flavorful with their specialty spices, and the pistachio tart was just perfectly sweetened. However, it seemed that their service was not fast enough for their customers. One had to wait for almost ten minutes in line to order and get their order even ten minutes later. I would recommend it as a place for chatting with friends or spending time with family, but it might not be a good place for a quick to-go choice.

We were fortunate enough to try Shibam a couple days after it's soft opening. Apparently it used to be a bank, so it's large inside and there's plenty of outdoor seating. The parking lot is in okay shape; there's extra parking in the adjacent lot. The decor inside is nice, as is the case with most Yemeni coffee shops. However, it was really loud, perhaps because the sound reverberates. Also, some of the chairs were oversized, making it a bit challenging to navigate the shop with a tray of food and drinks because my wife picked the furthest possible table. The menu was very similar to other Yemeni spots. We ordered a Shibam latte, and iced cocoa, and pistachio milk cake. The latte was excellent; tasty and not overpowering. The milk cake was also really good; plenty of milk to keep the cake moist, although the whipped cream wasn't the best quality. My wife and son seemed to enjoy the iced cocoa, which my wife described as chocolate milk. Pricing was on par with other Yemeni spots, but I felt the iced cocoa (which was from the kids menu) was overpriced at $6. It's a $1 drink that should be priced at $4. Service was excellent.

I have been wanting to check this place out every since I saw it being built. I am a huge fan of Turkish coffee & their sweets & boy oh boy this place gets a 10/10 from me. There's so many choices on their menu that I have to go back. I also checked with one of the employees & they are working on having a drive-thru! It's also a beautiful place to sit back & relax.

The building looks like it was converted from a church, and the back seating area has some high stained glass windows. In the middle of the cafe is a narrow hallway/corridor where the supply closet and the single stall bathroom is, so it segments the cafe into two areas, connected by this hallway in the center. The design feels very clearly like a remnant of an old historic building, and a brick alleyway runs along one side. In the space/room where you order (walking through the seating area and through the hallway), it opens up with huge windows and a huge industrial coffee grinder on full display. There's another counter to order, with a few pastry options, and along another side wall, a rack of F&H clothes for purchase and the drink menus. (The aesthetic reminded me of Blue Bottle.) I ordered an iced Whiskey Vanilla Latte with oak milk and it was good! I couldn't taste any whiskey at all, and when I ordered the barista had mentioned this (cooked off so you wouldn't taste it) so it was a decent vanilla latte. I'll give them props for a really cool unique flavor. We all grabbed our drinks and headed (back through the hallway) into the other room with the seating area. There is a small section with a couch, otherwise lots of tables and chairs and I was glad it wasn't too crowded so we were able to grab a table. This was a great spot to grab coffee and meet up with friends. It's in a neat little downtown area in Wheaton, and they offer creative coffee drinks, with beans and merch to purchase.

I opened it up and there was hardly any cheese. It was just like eating two pieces of grilled bread. They need to improve on that for sure. I also had their 12oz wildflower latte which was very tasty, but served lukewarm and not hot. If the milk is not steamed, it will bring down the temperature of the coffee. I like my specialty coffees served hot. I do have to say every staff member we came in contact with was friendly. They seemed happy and were there to help and answer questions. You place your order at the counter, and you receive a number which you display at your table. There are two dining areas with tables and a few booths to dine at next to where you place your order. Even with the sad grilled cheese sandwich which was disappointing and the lukewarm latte, I would definitely go back to Blackberry Market again to try other items on their menu. I'll pass on the grilled cheese, though.
