Love this spot! Outside of the quality drinks this place has some fun walls that can be used for social media pictures and comfortable furniture to enjoy. They have a small set of games that can be used for social time with friends and the setup with distinctly different areas allows for patrons to enjoy different vibes depending on where they sit. As for the drinks, I love the use of actual fresh fruit in the smoothies, which is distinct for anyone who has been disappointed by powders and syrups elsewhere. The other drinks are also made with high quality ingredients and allow for sugar and ice levels to be changed as needed. The prices are very good for the Chicago suburbs and the sizes are generous (especially the Extra Large!). In addition to smoothies, they also carry a selection of teas, cheese tops, fruit teas, tea lattes, flavored yakult, milkshakes, and more. This is one of the spots that you can find authentic Asian flavor combinations that you only expect to see in Chinatown, Schaumburg, or Naperville. Great tea spot in GE with a lot of comfortable and varied seating options. I tried the watermelon tea with boba, and it was incredibly refreshing. I went for the extra-large size, which was delicious--but massive. It was so big it couldn't fit in my car's cup holder, so a heads-up at checkout would have been helpful. I had planned to sip it during my hour-long drive but ended up awkwardly holding it between my legs the whole time. That said, I do need to flag a serious concern regarding payment practices. The business is currently adding a surcharge to debit card transactions, which is a violation of federal law under the Durbin Amendment of the Dodd-Frank Act. Additionally, both Visa and Mastercard prohibit passing fees onto debit card users. Surcharging in general must follow strict guidelines, and the way it's currently being handled here appears to be non-compliant with both card network rules and consumer protection standards. The posted menu price should be the final price, no matter how you choose to pay. If you're paying with a debit card, you're within your rights to request the surcharge be removed. And if you're paying with credit, any additional fee must be clearly disclosed and within regulations. The POS system they use is fully capable of processing compliant transactions without these issues. I truly hope ownership takes steps to resolve this. This is otherwise a fantastic local business with a lot to love, and I'd be happy to continue supporting them once this is addressed. read more

What a find! Located in Glen Ellyn this spot features a wide variety of boba drinks so you can get your fix. I ordered a Blackberry Jasmine Green Tea Latte from the large self serve touch screen display, but you can also order directly from the counter. It was hard to choose just one drink, but I loved my drink. It had lots of real blackberry in it and the aesthetic was so IG friendly. The interior of the place is split into two rooms. The main room has bar seating, but the other room to your left of the entrance has cozier nooks and sofa type seats. I ordered the strawberry matcha and the ordering menu prompted me to select a sweetness level (100%, 75%, 50%, 25%, none). I opted for the 50% level and it was suuuuh-weet! I'll definitely try the 25% sweetness level next time!! The walls have beautiful quotes all over. As I walked in the door. I was warmly welcomed with a very warm smile. I instantly felt happy! They told me that I could order from the counter but, I had to pay with cash. I will say my favorite were the fruit-flavored teas. They were fresh and delightful. Overall, prices were reasonable. One note: the jelly they offer is not the jelly I expected. I LOVE ELITETEA! I was so thrilled to find their new location in Glen Ellyn. I no longer have to trek to Schaumburg or further for the delicious boba. Upon walking in you're met with a beautiful green leaf wall with a neon sign. They have their menus above the front counter with pictures to help you choose (bonus: they even come out looking exactly like it!). If you turn to your left you'll see a little doorway that leads to a great place to study and get work done. Now for the boba. It was amazing. I'm a boba fanatic and it is always a surprise when every drink ordered is a 10/10. We got a Peach & Strawberry Smoothie ($5.15), Lychee Smoothie (with boba, $5.90), Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea (with oreo cheese top, $7.25), Pineapple & Mango Smoothie (woth boba, $5.90). Every sip was heavenly. My dad LOVED his lychee smoothie. The peach and strawberry was perfectly balanced. The brown sugar milk tea was sooo good with that oreo top. My only note for these drinks is to beware of the sweetness. They have sweetness levels and I went 100%. While they were absolutely delicious I definitely had to brush my teeth after an hour because they were super sweet. My fault for doing 100%! I'll try around 60% next time. Service was wondeful and quick. Another great thing? Their drink carrier! None of that flimsy boards that Illinois winds will knock right over. Since it is located in downtown Glen Ellyn, I did have to park a bit further and walk there so I was nervous about securing my drinks. No need- the drink carrier is so secure that I kid you not, I keep it in my car to reuse it. Portions and price were so spot on. It's super affordable and probably one of the best out there. I found Elitea on Yelp after doing a search for bubble tea near Lombard. I figured I'd check out what's out in this area since I have a craving for it, and I'm in the area for an Elite experience.
