Scone Emergency = Joyful Triumph! Let me tell you about these scones -- they're not just baked goods, they're buttery, crumbly little clouds of joy. Sweet, flaky perfection in every bite, with a variety of flavors so tempting it's honestly unfair to the other pastries in town. I showed up right at closing time like a woman on a mission -- I had an emergency (yes, scone emergencies are real) because my friends were taking a painfully early flight and I needed to send them off with something that said, "Bon voyage, but with carbs." Not only was I greeted with kindness, but I was offered a delightful selection of scones like it was still mid-morning! The service? Superb. Compassionate. Possibly saintly. The shop itself is also a total gem -- cozy, welcoming, and full of great energy. It's the kind of place where you want to linger, sip your coffee slowly, and pretend you're a local character in a charming indie film. The next morning, I enjoyed the outside with a fresh brew and a scone, soaking in the morning peace and feeling very pleased with myself. Meanwhile, my friends, in their sleepy travel frenzy, forgot their share of scones. TRAGIC for them. But also... YESSSS for me -- more buttery goodness to hoard enjoy! Moral of the story: come for the scones, stay for the kindness and the vibe. And if you're flying out early -- maybe forget a bag so you have an excuse to come back.

Scone House Cafe serves a wide variety of delectable scones--both sweet and savory. In addition to the excellent, delicious scones, you will find warm, friendly customer service. Arrive early because the scones sell out quickly!

I finished my gym workout in the morning and decided to check out the Scone House Cafe in Winfield. The Cafe has convenient side parking right infront for easy access to cafe. Nice Spacious Cafe with lots of room for many guests to sit and enjoy coffee and scones. Customer service is fast and friendly. I ordered the following items: - Iced White Chocolate Mocha Latte: 3/5 - Blueberry Scone: 3/5 The latte lacked flavor and the scone was ok too - Worth checking out at least once.

We saw the sign scones and literally jumped out of our car . It's a neighborhood spot with lots of ladies hanging out and crocheting while catching up on gossip. We got a couple of the recommended scones vanilla and coffee both were delicious. The chai however was both the best . Will certainly be back if in the neighborhood.

    This is supposedly a matcha.

Completely negligent in regard to allergies. Employee was asked to change gloves after handling a peanut butter product and the employee proceeded to get offended. I've worked as a barista for the last 4 years and I don't think I've ever come across a matcha that isn't green, and that tastes like milk with syrup. It was also addressed, and the drink came back out exactly the same. Matcha is green is it not? It's a shame because I really want to support a local, black owned business. But the overall experience was disappointing at best. A pastry and drink place such as this one is typically one of the first stops some people have in their schedule, it's your job to set the tone for the day. Needless to say, the tone was set poorly. Money wasted.

Menu on display. Couldn't get a pic with no glare.

So delicious! Thank you for all your gluten free options! We were first introduced to these yummy scones at the Wheaton French Market. There was a long line of people waiting to get their scone so I knew they would be worth the wait. They have several flavors and quite a few gluten free options! Many times in the pastry world, the only gluten free option is blueberry which is good, but I want my chocolate! No worries here, there are several choices. Not a sweets person, try the jalapeno cheddar option! The physical location is right off Winfield road with street parking and other parking options available. There's a menu displayed of food and beverages (coffee included) along with some comfy chairs inside and tables with umbrellas outside. Such a cute place! Stop by either spot and get your scones on!

Ohhh wow! I stopped in to grab a coffee and HOLY SCONES BATMAN! Scone House Cafe has an awesome selection of 3 things: sweet scones, savory scones and tea! The guy behind the counter could have been lovelier telling me his favorite flavor scone (Cinnamon roll) as well as telling me that their teas take about 5 min to brew. I sprite seeing my expectations up right from the start in case I was in a rush. Plenty of parking outside in the street! The interior is wild- all purple. It reminds me more of a nail salon or kids carnival rather than a bakery. Every pot has its lid!

Recommended by someone I know who lives in Winfield. I'm so happy I stopped when I was in the area. Cute inside, plenty of seating in and out. You can park in back and walk through or walk around to front of bakery. Scones, this is all they do and that's what makes them different. They have hot drinks as well. Plenty of flavors, sweet and savory. And they are only $3-25-3.75 a piece! I felt a little guilty so I just boggy more to throw in the freezer. I got the chocolate chip and pumpkin. Both were scrumpch. Unfortunately none made it to the freezer in our house. So I'll have to go back and get more of the other flavors! Check them out and support local and spread the word. Big coffee shop scones are almost 2x the price. If they look like they r sold out of a flavor, just ask. They had a large cart in back loaded with more little treasures.

Their exceptional service and mouthwatering cupcakes have made me a loyal customer for life. The first time I ordered was for my youngest daughter's birthday, and they created a stunning unicorn cake that left everyone in awe. The cake was not only visually impressive but also incredibly delicious. The attention to detail and the skill of the bakers truly shined through. For my eldest daughter's graduation party, we decided to switch things up and ordered cupcakes instead. We opted for the chocolate pie cupcakes and the wedding cupcakes, and both varieties were absolutely amazing. As a person who typically favors chocolate desserts, I approached the almond wedding cake flavor with some hesitation. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how delightful it turned out to be. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and each bite was a delightful treat. However, I must take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the exceptional customer service I received from Vanilla Sugar Bakery. Due to my busy schedule, I completely forgot to place the order for the cupcakes on time. With only three days left before I needed them, I frantically attempted to order online, only to find that there was no option to specify the desired date. In a moment of desperation, I decided to call the store and hope for the best. To my relief, the person I spoke to on the phone was incredibly sweet, kind, and caring. She immediately understood my predicament and assured me that she would help me out. She advised me to place the order online and promised to change the pickup date to accommodate my needs. I cannot express how grateful I am for her willingness to go above and beyond to assist me. Her exceptional service truly saved the day. When I picked up the cupcakes from Vanilla Sugar Bakery, I was greeted with a warm smile and the most delightful aroma of freshly baked goods. The cupcakes were beautifully presented, and it was evident that great care had been taken in their preparation. Vanilla Sugar Bakery has undoubtedly earned my loyalty. Their exceptional service, even in the face of my forgetfulness, and their delicious cupcakes have left a lasting impression. I will continue to rely on them for all my bakery needs, and I eagerly look forward to exploring the other delectable treats they have to offer. Thank you, Vanilla Sugar Bakery, for your remarkable service and creating such delightful cupcakes!

There are vegetarian options - vegetarian panini, spinach/cheese empanadas; papas con huancaina, (delicious Peruvian cheese sauce) and apparently if you ask, she'll make something like the beef sandwich with tofu. I got two spinach/cheese empanadas, a chocolate alfajor (several flavors available); a key lime tart, a pavlova, and some chicha morada. I've never seen pavlova in a bakery; she filled a meringue shell with cream and fruit, and it was indeed delightful, certainly worth coming back for in spring when strawberries/fresh fruit is at its peak. The alfajor was crisp/crumbly and not too sweet; the empanadas are baked, not fried, and she warmed them up. It's more spinach than cheese, but quite respectable. The key lime pie was also respectable, with a crumbly crust; the filling was tasty but more of it would be good. The owner was super helpful, walking me through my options and noting that unfortunately yes, most of the cheesecakes have gelatin in them. I'll certainly be back to try her huancaina, get some more cookies, and maybe snag an Inca Cola.

I had the pick two, which was a half a sandwich (grilled cheese) with a half salad (kale Caesar). The salad was so good! Fresh, crisp and lightly dressed. However, the grilled cheese was pretty sad. I opened it up and there was hardly any cheese. It was just like eating two pieces of grilled bread. They need to improve on that for sure. I also had their 12oz wildflower latte which was very tasty, but served lukewarm and not hot. If the milk is not steamed, it will bring down the temperature of the coffee. I like my specialty coffees served hot. I do have to say every staff member we came in contact with was friendly. They seemed happy and were there to help and answer questions. You place your order at the counter, and you receive a number which you display at your table. There are two dining areas with tables and a few booths to dine at next to where you place your order. Members of the staff bring your order to the table. We didn't have to wait long for our drinks and food. Even with the sad grilled cheese sandwich which was disappointing and the lukewarm latte, I would definitely go back to Blackberry Market again to try other items on their menu. I'll pass on the grilled cheese, though.
