It has notes of allspice, cardamom, cinnamon, clove, ginger, and vanilla. With just a hint of sweet pumpkin with caramel notes. To finish it off, a splash of creamy oat milk. Which, ties everything together for an unforgettable drink. If you're a spice person then get this! It's creamy, dreamy, and delicious! My dad can't get enough of this drink! Chocolate torte- this dessert is decadent and delicious! It's dense and creamy with a thin shiny glaze on top. It is the perfect combination It's pure heaven! I savored every last bite of this dedicate dessert. Dubai Brownie- This brownie is luxurious and Indulgent! It is big enough to share. But, you won't want to. It has layers of rich dreamy flavors. Starting with an intense chocolate base, with layers of nutty pistachio cream mixed with crispy Kataifi pastry. Pure heaven! I can't recommend this brownie enough. All of the desserts were amazing in their own special ways. So, you can't go wrong with any of them. They are pricy. But, worth the splurge. The coffee and drinks are incredible! That means no high fructose corn syrup, no artificial ingredients, organic and gluten-free options, and so forth. They also make a variety of smoothies with fruits, juices, yogurt, and milk (almond milk available for $.50 more). Whey protein is added to nearly all smoothies but you can request VeganMax protein instead, which is Lifetime's vegan protein supplement. SWEET. (I hate whey.) My husband ordered the savory roast beef sandwich and I had a wild-caught grilled salmon salad with a smoothie. The food is made fresh behind the counter so there is a slight wait. However, you're able to sit at the table and hang out until they bring the food to you (you're given a number sign when you order). My husband's sandwich seemed kind of small; yet, my salad was huge. While it didn't taste stale, I don't think you should serve a rock hard rice crispy to someone and ask $4.50 to boot. A few days ago I went back and ordered the same exact latte (via their app this time), just in a larger size. It tasted nothing like the one in January. Not only that, but after taking a sip and inquiring about getting some packets of sugar, I was told there were some around the corner from the counter. Our server was friendly and helpful in describing a few dishes, and made good recommendations for how much to order. It was the perfect amount. The dishes we ordered were the curry chicken and the veggie sampler plate. Plenty of injera (usually a sourdough teff grain pancake, and replaces silverware) was served too! In typical presentation, each vegetable dish was placed in a spot on the tray, on an opened injera. The bone-in chicken curry had so much rich, delicious sauce that it was served in a ceramic dish on the injera tray. The curry (very different than Indian or Thai or Burmese curries) had the most tender meat that was easy to grab with a piece if injera and pull off the bone. It was best with a scoop of some of the plentiful savory sauce. This was my favorite bite in a meal full of delicious bites. The veggie platter included red lentils (a little spicy and warming berbere sauce), cabbage (slow roasted and sweet), carrots & potatoes (hardy and tasty), mashed yellow peas (simple seasoning with a hit of garlic and spiciness), simmered collard greens (with onion, garlic, and ginger), all picked up and eaten with a ripped piece of fresh injera. The restaurant is connected to a Middle Eastern grocery store. The dining area is small and has a space dedicated to tea service. Each table is covered with a cloth of Ethiopian fabric, and the walls were decorated with framed works of Ethiopian art. This restaurant was such a pleasant surprise to find in the suburbs. We had the Shekla Tibs, collard greens, kitifo, and the coffee and tea. My favorite was the Shekla tibs and I'm obsessed with the tea. My partner said he could live on the collard greens and coffee. The ambiance was authentic and had several booths and tables, connected to a grocery store. Overall, I'm thrilled to have tried something new and had a great experience.
