I enjoy this place tremendously, and that is coming from someone who is rarely thrilled by a coffee shop (I am admittedly extremely particular about taste when spending what I'd consider a significant amount on a luxury drink). Everything I've had has been delicious, though. Everyone I have gone there with is also always fairly flabbergasted by how much higher quality and taste that there is to Peet's compared to other places they frequent. You can definitely tell that the staff is putting in sincere effort to make everything wonderful - from the whole vibe to tasty treats. They've all been super nice. This is a good Peets coffee shop. Service is always good here. I usually meet friends here that live the the Western burbs even though its not next door to me , but its between all of us. I like Peets coffees. Plenty of seating here. I am either into the Black tie or I occasionally will get the Horchata. I see their drive thru usually moves quickly. A thing I don't like is their parking. Or lack of it. But this is what they were given, its never enough. Ogden av is pretty busy. The side street Columbia is not set up for street parking. Even this coffee shop is near my place, I never really tried the drinks here. However I tried one of the brown sugar cold brews with jelly and it was very delicious! Not too sweet but not too bitter. I enjoy this Peet's! The first thing I noticed in this location is the ample amount of seating. It is so great to know of coffee shops with a bunch of seating because the small ones can fill up so quick! I got an iced cold brew with a pump of vanilla for my afternoon pick-me-up. The coffee tasted like a medium roast and it was just what I needed. They also have a nice little patio outside with outdoor seating and umbrellas. The customer service was a bit lacking. There was no friendly interaction or eye contact with customers. It was a bit disappointing because a smile goes a long way! I came in here to finish some work for the day and a great thing was their wifi connected very easily and was really fast. I also enjoyed their playlist throughout my time here. The parking can get tight here, but inside it's cozy and comfortable. We got a cold brew fog and a havana cappuccino. We also got an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. The drinks were both very good, each with a nice, thick layer of foam. However, the cold brew had a lot of ice cubes, making me wonder if I got my money's worth. My wife enjoyed her cappuccino. As for the cookie, it didn't have that chocolatey decadence I was looking for, but I think that's because of the oatmeal. Oh well. Overall we enjoyed our experience here. read more

I wasn't familiar with this place in its former incarnation of Caribou Coffee, but the friend I came here with told me she misses the fireplace and comfy chairs. There definitely doesn't seem to be a focus on comfortable seating; a few armchairs in a circle, and then a number of tables with plastic or metal chairs, perhaps to encourage the "drink and get out" mentality? Service was super friendly and my hot chocolate was rich and delicious, a tasty treat. Still, perhaps not the sort of coffee shop that encourages you to linger. read more

I like that this is one of few coffee shops in Naperville that isn't overrun with people during the daytime! The employees are super friendly, and I like that it's quiet to sit down and do work. We visited the Ogden location on November 15, 2019. First thing you are greeted by is the terrible outside parking. The parking lot is horrendously small due to the inadequate lot size. My husband had to park in the handicapped lot while I went in to order in hopes someone leaves for a parking space. I went in waited at counter for roughly 4 minutes until noticed. The gal's greetings was less than enthusiastic. I told her it was my first time and asked about the mocha orange latte. I was torn between two drinks asking her the ingredients in the drinks however, she wasn't excited to talk about their featured drinks saying instead which one you want. I chose the orange flavored mocha and a regular mocha for hubby with a slice of banana bread and a slice of chocolate walnut bread. By the way hubby's still outside hoping to land a park and the place was modestly full. I took a seat while they fixed our drinks. The establishment is small with seating on one side and product displays in middle and along the wall. It was cold outside and inside as well. Dark wood tables and chairs is the seating decor. I was not able to embrace the elements of its design and decor as one that genuinely inspire relaxation, comfort and enjoy the experience. When it's cold out last thing you want under your bum is cold hard as wood in a cold environment. It took 15 minutes to get coffee so from order to finish about 25 minutes with 4 orders ahead of us. Hooray, my husband finally got a parking space. Our order totaled $16 and some change. This was certainly overpriced considering we experienced unenthusiastic service, inadequate parking, mediocre sweetbreads and lukewarm flavored syrup lacking coffee flavor that we we didn't drink halfway through and threw away. Would I recommend this coffee house? This is not a revisit option for us but it may be for you. We like coffee house environments that speak come sit a spell while enjoying a delicious coffee with customer service that's enthusiastic and inviting. read more

This location is SO hit and miss that it's difficult to give higher than 3 stars. Service is consistently slow and was even that way prior to the pandemic and staffing shortages. I also have had my order accidentally made hot instead of iced or vice versa on multiple occasions, which is frustrating when you wait in line as long as you do here. read more

Really, they deserve zero stars. What a horrific experience! Just wanted a hot tea...seems simple right? The person handling the order at drive through repeatedly had me repeat simple things like, size? Medium. Ok and what size? Um, medium. Hot or cold. Hot. Ok, and do you want hot or cold. Um HOT. WTH????? Worst part? Got the tea wrong. I specifically asked for citrus chamomile, but ended up with a LARGE MINT. Started to drink the tea... damn it, he gave me MINT and I'm allergic to mint. Later called the manager, Laurie, who didn't ask... are you ok... or even offer an apology.. and of course, no offer to refund my money. No she just wanted to talk about the bad day they were having... two employees had quit (wonder why?!!!) and she talked about how everyone was stressed. Constantly spoke over me, raising her voice.... absolutely stunned by her immaturity and lack of professionalism. Got the same kind of lame response when I called the GM the next day. Escalated it to corporate... but have now given up, seeing that the number the GM gave me to the "corporate office" (the GM ASSURED ME it was) was actually some low level customer service rep named Dixid ... in f'ing INDIA. Yes, you will go into National Debt drinking at this place, but its sooooo good. This place can get PACKED, and I mean packed. The girl at the drive-thru was extremely friendly. I asked her what was taking so long, no going to lie, I was pissed off. Do not come here if you in a hurry. Anyways, she said that they steam their own milk or something, which is the reason you wait longer. This place is well worth the wait. The taste of their coffee is excellent and you can tell it is well made with all of their PEETS touches. I've had the Peppermint Mocha and the Salted Carmel (which beats Starbucks anyday!) 4.5 stars for good ole Peet! Couple of first here. First time I've been lucky enough to find a coveted parking spot. First Americano I've had. First time I've gotten to enjoy the comfy new interior and had a nice experience with the super cool and friendly baristas. The Americano was right on point, especially on a frigid day like today. The service was spectacular, I love how they are pouring the shot of espresso from the miniature metal thingy (idk pot/canister/pitcher) into the drink as they are handing it to you. Just feels more sincere and made with pride. The food looks amazing. For real. I HAVE to have the 7 layer bar! The coffee beans are displayed in the open which I found to be another really cool touch. This coffee shop would easily be 5 stars if not for the dreaded parking lot issue. I think I may have solved the riddle though. Need to find dedicated employee parking, lots of baristas here. Idk maybe they are just banking on the drive thru aspect.
