    curry croquette

Highly recommend visiting if you enjoy french-inspired korean bakery treats - staff is super friendly and many of the products sell out before end of day. If you're looking for cakes/macarons/some of their bakery products on the go, I would also recommend checking out the doordash as they often have a 25% off $12+ deal (but not the entire bakery selection and some products are upcharged slightly). Usually a fan of the soboro or mascarpone whipped cream loaf or taro cream loaf (really any of their whipped or taro cream products), but decided to try the curry croquette this time and it was delicious in flavor! Definitely don't sleep on their savory treats as well. Inside has nice tables for studying/dining in. Parking lot available.

OMG OMG... Get the Ube filled brioche donut! I've been to several Tous Les Jours and this location is hands down my favorite. It's fairly large with several indoor spots to sit and stay awhile. The staff members were so nice!! I recommend coming earlier in the day to try and take advantage of everything being stocked. I came in on a Friday around 430pm and although the options were slim, I was able to get a few delicious items. Back to the Ube donut. UGH!! FULLY filled that I spilled so much of it on myself when I took the first bite. Worth it haha. The Ube actually tastes like Ube. AH! I cannot rave enough about how good this was. It was creamy, sweet but not overly sweet and so frickin delicious. The dough of the donut itself was perrrrrrf too. I actually came back the following day and got another 2 Ube donuts haha. I also got a red bean donut, a slice of the strawberry cloud cake a slice of the chocolate cloud cake and the soufflé cheesecake. I normally like red bean but I think bc the Ube donut was so good, it was impossible to compete with. The strawberry (and chocolate) cloud cakes were fluffy and not overly sweet. I had them the day after I bought it and both were still moist.

Breakfast egg & bacon croissant, ube brioche and a lavender honey latte

I met my sister for breakfast at this Tous Les Jours last week. This location doesn't open until 9am, which unfortunately is two hours later than the Lombard location. I think they're missing some customers who would come early that are working at companies nearby who would stop in before work. There was a line of people waiting to get in before 9am. I was completely wow'd when I walked in and saw all the bakery. They make sweet treats like macaroons and cakes, pastries, breads and breakfast items. I ordered a latte with an egg and bacon breakfast croissant and an Ube brioche. The lady heated up my breakfast croissant for me to enjoy warm. That Ube brioche is next level. So delicious! They also offer a variety of coffees. The staff here is super friendly and the store is very clean. I just wish they opened earlier. If you need a special cake, I highly recommend the cloud cake which is lighter than air and beautiful.

Pastries are delicious and nostalgic. The people are friendly and amazing. The ambiance is warm and cozy.

I love this bakery and the other location in China town. Although it's a little pricey the quality of the baked goods is wonderful. The apple caramel pie I got was so flakey and not overly sweet. Very kind and friendly service. Very clean environment.

It's been awhile since I've been here. I was really surprised that there were alot of pastries today. Usually when I go here, the pastries are almost sold out. I got twisted doughnut, some other pastries, and ube latte. The ambiance is cozy. A great place to hangout or study with friends. The service is very welcoming and helpful.

It's just crazy to me how soft each and every one of these parties are. Edible clouds? Yes please. I love super sweet things but some of the items aren't overly sweet, too, which my mom appreciates. Super bright lighting and some seating inside. Pretty good service and to go options. The milk bread makes a fab French toast at home.

Great selection of items. You could come here and pick up breakfast items if you want a quick meal. They also have tea, coffee, and smoothies. The cakes they have are very pretty and decorative. However, prices for cakes are very expensive for what you get. The cake we got was small and it was $40. Also, they need to improve their inventory so that their items are not sold out earlier in the day when they open. The parking lot is big but it can get filled up fast since they have a lot of other places in this strip mall. Service was very friendly and helpful.

A cute little bakery with a wide selection of baked goods. My absolute favorites are Kimchi Croquettes and Curry Croquettes. A perfect combination of crunchy fried dough on the outside and soft bun on the inside with a well balanced kick of spicy kimchi or curry. Come early as they always run out of these buns! I also got a couple of cakes from them in the last year and they were always fresh and delicious. The ladies working at the counter are friendly and polite. One star off for limited availability of baked goods. The prices are also on the higher end. Otherwise, this is a great place worth exploring. Keep those croquettes in stock and I will be back many, many times!

I called and was told they always close at 8pm. Does anyone know for sure if Yelp has the hours wrong?

I believe they initially wanted to stay open until 10pm, but since not a lot of customers were going in past 8pm, they updated their hours to end at 8. Hope this helps!

Those items are a bit pricier than the rest but they are quite unique. The cruffins are flakey, sugary without being overwhelming, creamy but subtle, and very satisfying. I have a strong sweet tooth and I am greedy. So I generally like to try more than one item in one sitting. These portions are not small and I would recommend sharing if you want to try a variety. I have monthly appointments in the general area and I try to plan it so that I will have enough time before or after my appointment to make a quick stop at Fiene's. My visits are usually during the week and I would be in and out within 10 minutes.

Two weeks before the event, I came in person with a printed cake design, a clear color theme (green, cream, and white), and a macaron accent order to go with it. I was flexible on the design details, just committed to the vision. On the day of pickup, I arrived a little late -- my fault -- but there was no cake waiting, and my order couldn't be found. Hannah behind the counter did her best, and when owner Robert walked in, I calmly explained everything from the start. I won't lie -- I was heartbroken more than angry. This was a big night. What happened next is why I'm writing this review. Robert and his team didn't hesitate. They snapped a photo of the design from my phone, asked every detail, and promised to make it right -- with Robert personally delivering the cake to the venue (thankfully just 5 minutes away). And he did. He showed up with the cake designer in tow and delivered something truly stunning: a handsome, elegant cake that fit the theme perfectly and genuinely wowed my brother and guests. And the flavor? Their Atomic. Banana (pudding), strawberries (jam), and chocolate, vanilla & banana cake. YUM! It was incredibly moist and delicious. What could have been a devastating hiccup for such a milestone night became one of the most memorable parts of the celebration. That's a testament to Robert and his team's character, dedication, and craft. Thank you, Area 51 Cupcakery. We've loved your cupcakes from day one, and this experience only deepened our loyalty. We'll always come back.

My first time visiting I tried the following cupcakes: chai pumpkin latte (daily special and DANGGGG DELICIOUS), Almond wedding (my least favorite but still good, I think almond cupcakes just aren't for me), cookies and cream (divine, rich, 2nd favorite), and the Boston cream (also 2nd favorite lol). All of the cupcakes were moist, fluffy, and full of flavor. They are made daily and you can feel and taste the love. Area 51 is definitely my favorite cupcake spot of all time. I've gone to Area 51 probably every week since finding em and I can't get enough. They also made cupcakes for my baby's gender reveal. They were extremely accommodating and everything turned out perfect! I highly recommend them for custom cakes, cupcakes, or even just grabbing 1 of their daily made cupcakes. SOOO GOOD!

I sought out this location since I definitely liked the Glenn Ellyn, stand alone location (See my review for that location). I did not realize it until I got there but this location is located in a food hall, a part of the H-Mart Asian grocery chain's delivery concept. The scaled down, food hall version, in line with, and surrounded by the sights, sounds, and aromas of a great but distracting variety of Asian food offerings, distracts and dilutes the impact of the distinctly different "Paris Baguette" concept (One of these things is not like the others). I will say that the food was good and I would say consistent with the stand-alone location; however, the highly eclectic mix of eateries, in an open food hall, obliterates the more authentic visual and environmental feel of a modern Parisian pâtisserie experience that is delivered by the stand alone store. In recently reviewing Paris Baguette's direct competitor and similar concept, basically across the street from this location, I opined that I would choose Paris Baguette if pressed to make a choice between the two; however, not In this particular instance/location. I get wanting to proliferate the name and concept in the market but, in my opinion, the food-hall version dilutes and detracts from the nice experience of the stand-alone store. If a stand-alone opens here or near, I would come back.
