Stopped in on a whim while in Naperville and loved this spot! Everything looked almost too delicious to eat lol I had the matcha filled donut and it tasted soo fresh with PLENTY of filling inside. They do not skimp out on the filling at all! It wasn't overly sweet either, which honestly was refreshing. My daughter had a croissant and it was delicious, but she doesn't care for spicy cheese and there was a jalepeno cheese inside (I didn't mind though so I finished it). She also had a strawberry filled croissant which she loved! Said it tasted super fresh. Store is super aesthetic inside! Everything looked beautiful inside. Staff was also friendly and attentive. Perfect for a dip in your coffee. Prices are comparable to a Starbucks so you can easily drop $20 but it's nice treat. OMG OMG... Get the Ube filled brioche donut! I've been to several Tous Les Jours and this location is hands down my favorite. It's fairly large with several indoor spots to sit and stay awhile. The staff members were so nice!! I recommend coming earlier in the day to try and take advantage of everything being stocked. I came in on a Friday around 430pm and although the options were slim, I was able to get a few delicious items. Back to the Ube donut. UGH!! FULLY filled that I spilled so much of it on myself when I took the first bite. Worth it haha. The Ube actually tastes like Ube. AH! I cannot rave enough about how good this was. It was creamy, sweet but not overly sweet and so frickin delicious. The dough of the donut itself was perrrrrrf too. I actually came back the following day and got another 2 Ube donuts haha. I also got a red bean donut, a slice of the strawberry cloud cake a slice of the chocolate cloud cake and the soufflé cheesecake. I normally like red bean but I think bc the Ube donut was so good, it was impossible to compete with. The strawberry (and chocolate) cloud cakes were fluffy and not overly sweet. I met my sister for breakfast at this Tous Les Jours last week. This location doesn't open until 9am, which unfortunately is two hours later than the Lombard location. I think they're missing some customers who would come early that are working at companies nearby who would stop in before work. There was a line of people waiting to get in before 9am. I was completely wow'd when I walked in and saw all the bakery. They make sweet treats like macaroons and cakes, pastries, breads and breakfast items. I ordered a latte with an egg and bacon breakfast croissant and an Ube brioche. The lady heated up my breakfast croissant for me to enjoy warm. That Ube brioche is next level. So delicious! They also offer a variety of coffees. The staff here is super friendly and the store is very clean. I just wish they opened earlier. If you need a special cake, I highly recommend the cloud cake which is lighter than air and beautiful. read more

The desserts and loafs are expensive. The small whipped cream, strawberry cake was $35.00. Are they worth it? Not sure I would say so, as Whole Foods has similar quality for less. Their cakes are very light, and not overly sweet, with whipped cream. The fruit inside is somewhat fresh, sometimes frozen, sometimes plentiful, and sometimes barely there, on the pastries. I ended up adding a compote to the cake because there was so little strawberry inside it. The hazelnut loaf was delicious, but the chocolate decoration powder ended up all over my sweater, so caution there. A perfect combination of crunchy fried dough on the outside and soft bun on the inside with a well balanced kick of spicy kimchi or curry. Come early as they always run out of these buns! I also got a couple of cakes from them in the last year and they were always fresh and delicious. The ladies working at the counter are friendly and polite. One star off for limited availability of baked goods. The prices are also on the higher end. Otherwise, this is a great place worth exploring. This little bakery is located at Tower Crossing Associates in the back. This location is my favorite hidden gem for macarons - they are always supremely fresh and never disappoint. My personal favorite is, hands down, the Pistachio. I purchased one of their holiday cakes with vanilla cake and fresh strawberries for Christmas, and it was a huge hit. I can't believe it's taken me this long to find out the amazingness that is Tous Les Jours. This Korean-French bakery has the tastiest treats both sweet and savory. I haven't disliked anything that I've bought. Everything is perfectly balanced. The sweets are not "too sweet". I've had their almond croissant and milk cornet. I am in LOVE with their macarons. My favorite is the pistachio and coconut. The savory is not too heavy. I've had their sausage bread, onion bread, and I think one more I can't recall. Each time they were devoured within minutes of bringing them home. I've also had their Ube Latte which is a dream! Strong ube flavor and not too milky. I personally didn't taste any coffee in it but to me that made it even tastier. Their Tiramisu Latte is just as delicious. I love that they have special flavors you don't usually find. Huge tip- stick any of the pastries in the airfryer for a few seconds and it's perfectly warm and crispy. My only note in this location is that they have very slim selections. I've gone at different times during the day and it always looks half empty. In addition, prices are more expensive. Still I do love Tous Les Jours and it's really hard to find yummy Asian pastries around the area. I'm so glad they have one close to me but the one in Chinatown is truly the best with tasting more fresh, better prices, and more selection. I have been to this location so many times and I am never disappointed. The only problem is that items become more limited later in the day. The shelves and cases where the pastries are kept are very clean and it makes for a tempting presentation of each pastry. I like to get there early so I have free reign of whatever I want. I usually walk out with at least 6 different things to eat throughout the day. I like to start off with any of the fried croquettes or any of their pastries with cheese, hotdogs, onions and sweet res sauce. They are savory and sweet. My go to and a must every time I go is to snag the Taro Cream Bread. I'll take every one they have available with every visit. The fragrance of the taro cream is heaven. It is light, fluffy and has just the right amount of sweet. All of their croissants are delicious and they have a good variety like chocolate, almond, plain and a few more. Their Portuguese Egg Tart and red bean options are more traditional options that they do well. This past January I also bought the whole confetti cake and it was light and very good. I've had most of their cakes so you can't go wrong with any option. There is also a large selection of French macaroons as well. Their selection is awesome and they provide a unique alternative to the typical bakeries that sell donuts, cinnamon rolls, and everyday typical items. So... had to go again next weekend on a Saturday morning and it was much more stocked. There were just lines of bread and different buns to choose from. Of course, I'd go for their classic milk bread! Just like the other chains, the milk bread is super soft with a cream filling. I was super hungry and having that was super satisfying. I literally gulped it down in less than a minute. I've had their cakes previously, and if you like whip cream, go for it! Seems to me that most korean bakery cakes (ie Paris baguette) use a lot of cream to make the cakes super pretty. It's definitely not as heavy as western American styled cakes but a lighter and airier kind of cream and cake overall. After watching some Asian bakery stuff on TV, my wife and I were tempted to try something similar. Tous Les Jours seemed to fit the bill. It closes at 5:30 pm, so I took a quick trip around 1 pm. The selection of baked goods on the shelves was scarce, so this is a place you should get to early. I decided to skip the bready items and go for a slice of cake instead. They had typical flavors like chocolate ganache, strawberries & cream, and cookies & cream. However, I chose a less common ware -- mango mousse. They packaged it nicely and I appreciate the artisanship. Service was friendly, too. I have to admit, I cringed a little at the $7 price tag for a single slice of cake, but I reminded myself that this was a gourmet offering compared to cakes from, say, Jewel. Well, enough with the suspense... The cake was delicious. The quality of both the cake part and cream were superior to the cake and frosting you'd find on a Walmart cake with myriad ingredients. It was light and airy, creamy and delicate. There was a nice tartness to this particular flavor, which was interesting and different. Very good overall.
