I am giving it 3 stars for now. I am vegan and I have made cinnamon rolls from scratch myself, used sweet potato with flour for the rolls, used dates as sweetener and vegan yogurt with maple syrup for the topping. Real simple ingredients. I wanted to try these, and so far I have only tasted the ones with the apples on top. I noticed that it has a taste that I can't describe except that it tasted chemically, not really sure what that was and where it was from? Seems like inside the roll. Anyway, that was the only thing I did not like on this particular roll. I have a few more to taste and hopefully not like that. My husband love it though. Staff were friendly. We drove here to get some roll to bring to a party and jury is still out. Update: Now that I have tried the other flavors, I do love the smores. And the one with the pretzels. Not sure what the hype is about, sadly. Some of frosting was different than others and it simply wasn't that tasty to some. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Our order was ready quickly. A downfall is, there is no place in the facility to sit and eat. It was raining so that was nice not ideal. We ate the cinnamon rolls when we arrived home. The cream cheese frosting had no cream cheese flavor and looked curdled, as if the butter wasn't whipped correctly. It was too sweet and there was way too much on the bun. The buns looked like they were frozen and shipped there just to heat up, instead of made on the spot. The staff is super nice and the space is cute but sitting outside is even better in my opinion! Nonetheless, based on the crowd, it definitely shows that this place is super popular! The menu is quite versatile and you can almost make your cinnamon role however you want! We got a build your own cinnamon roll with caramel! It was absolutely delicious! When you walk in, you have a choice of making your own roll by choosing your frosting and toppings. They also have combinations already premade, and even offer small rolls if you want to just try it. I opted for a chai frosting with no toppings, and I'm glad I did. It took them under 5 minutes to serve my combo. The frosting alone was so super sugary - I think toppings would have been an unwelcome sugar high!! The cinnamon roll was warm and chewy but not too heavy. Honestly, next time, I would just do the roll - it doesn't need any more than it is in my opinion. I would definitely eat however much you want to eat of the roll when it's fresh and hot. I waited to eat the whole thing and tried to reheat my leftover later, and it simply wasn't the same. The roll had gotten super dough tasting and the cinnamon sugar pretty much caramelized. All in all, I'd definitely revisit and my roll was super good! I will say it is pricey (~$7), but if you want to try it and there is no giant line, I'd say go for it! Listen, after a rough day these cinnamon rolls really did its job in cheering us up. Coming from a person who isn't that big on cinnamon rolls, I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious they were. As in, the next day we went back for more which almost never happens. The compote was great and I actually appreciated that the fruit tasted fresh. The cinnamon roll was tasty and blended well with the toppings. I definitely look forward to trying more from their menu. I have my eye set on the S'mores. I ordered online which was great because shortly after my purchase, I was given a $5 coupon. I also REALLY appreciate that they actually have photos attached to their online menu. Some places don't think to do that. You'll definitely have difficulty choosing since there are so many great options! The only downside is that it is pricey for a standard sized cinnamon roll. My total came to be about $8 for a single roll. Was it worth the money? I think so! You're paying for quality and something that you can't really find anywhere else. They're pretty generous with the toppings. It also tastes just fine reheated. It's just not something I would purchase everyday or even recommend if you're on a tight budget. The way it works is, you pick a frosting for the roll, then one or more toppings. We ordered one with chocolate frosting and brownie bits, and one with marshmallow frosting and coconut + PB bits. The verdict? Well, they were both tasty, but I mostly tasted the cinnamon roll. I didn't taste any marshmallow flavor in the frosting, nor any coconut. Furthermore, both frostings were kind of thin (which I presume is due to the vegan makeup of the frosting). So I would say it's a decent cinnamon roll and a welcome option for vegetarians/vegans, but the gourmet frosting and toppings left a bit to be desired.
