This place has a lot of things going for it, and also has some things that are working against it. Pros: people are nice, great customer service( they sometimes go above and beyond what you're expecting) , they make every single donut fresh. Donuts are excellente! They also have shakes which my friend tried & said they were gr8! Still another friend said : he enjoyed their refreshers- his was a mango. Cons: I know it's a donut place but, why does your coffee taste like it came straight out of a vending machine somewhere. Blah. The other thing I don't really like is while they do have a little bit of seating outdoors (one table) indoors is another story. They have one four seat table, and two - two seat tables. Even more infuriating is the fact that they probably have a half dozen high back chairs sitting in front of the front window. I'd imagine the point is, people can sit there while they're waiting for their order since I know it tends to get busy. Which drives home the point that they are pretty much only a carryout place. Frustrating thing is, if they realigned the tables and got rid of those high back chairs, Folks would feel like eating and drinking inside and enjoying the dine in atmosphere. It was actually fun to watch them fry the donuts, then bring them to the decorating area and watch them dunk them, or decorate them with a filled pastry bag. Fun interesting and more importantly fresh which equals YUM!! They also have breakfast sandwiches, ice cream, and shakes, and a wide variety of donuts that are a little different than most places, this while they fry your donut quickly and then dunk it or top it with the flavoring you desire. So, in conclusion : I would give them five stars for variety, presentation, customer service, quality of food and products. But I have to subtract one star for the fact that their coffee is bland and watery , and that complete mess which is called the seating area, including the stupid high back chairs which is nice for waiting people... but could be more useful to seat the patrons inside. So, I'm sorry but four stars. Four stars is still four stars. Which in my book means GO THERE! read more

Date of visit: April 10 - 11, 2024 My husband is a donut aficionado and we've seen lots of ads for Pinkbox but there aren't any actually on the Strip so we have yet to try them. But during this search I discovered Duck Donuts located in the Grand Bazaar Shops at Horsehoe (a place we pretty much always avoid when we visit), we decided to check them out. On our first visit, we weren't ready to buy any donuts but we wanted to see what it was about. We spent several minutes in the shop looking over the menu and all of the ducks and neither employee gave us the slightest bit of attention. If it was me, I would take that a sign that they don't need my business and wouldn't go back but my husband is far more forgiving and we returned the following day and he was quite glad we did! On the second visit, we had a much better experience; staff was very friendly and explained how the process works as well as some of their other donut options. Because I already had dessert plans, we just went with one donut, a French Toast. My husband loved it, even though he waited until we got back to The Mirage to eat it. Duck Donuts, by the name, you'd never guess what they sell. If you said donuts you'd be right, and if you said Duck Donuts, well that's one variety I didn't see on the menu. They have about as many varieties of Donuts that Bubba Gump had for shrimp. I can attest that the Bacon in the Sun and Maple Bacon are excellent and you can have donuts made to order, just pick your coating, toppings and drizzle. Really great donut place in Naperville! I liked the fact that we could order on a self service computer which made things super convenient but if the computer seems intimidating, you can also order up at the counter! The service is a little slower than your usual donut place because the donuts are prepared right in front of you. Now on to the good part, the food (and drinks)! We got the s'mores flavored donut and a chocolate donut! I thought both were very delicious. They are pretty sugary but what else do you expect when you get donuts? The only reason why I'm knocking off a star is because we weren't too impressed with our cold brews. We got hazelnut and caramel flavored cold brews with sweet cream on top and I felt like we couldn't even tell the different flavors apart. The service is great. Made to order so please be patient and kind. These are high school kids (at least where I went) working hard to make your donuts and they are good. You can even create your own. Very unique creations with lots of toppings. I would go early if on the weekends. Especially Sunday, you also have the option to place your order online as well and pick up but to be quite honest, I thought it was confusing for the first time user. :(!! The place is lively and bright. The counter is almost like an ice cream shop but it's just toppings and glaze. I explained that it was my first time and the young lady and manager explained the process to me. I thought it was awesome to watch your donuts be made right in front of you. We were in south Naperville for an event, so this was a perfect excuse to check out the newly opened Duck Donuts. Even at 4 PM in the afternoon, it was packed. Thankfully there's less of a chance that they've run out of a specific flavor, as they use a basic cake donut as a base and then add the frosting and toppings based on whatever you order. The interior is fun, and at least during our visit it was well-staffed. Service was friendly. They have basic coffee drinks and frappes. You can even get ice cream on your donut, but that might be a sugar overload. They had a ton of donut flavors to choose from. It was kind of overwhelming. Eventually I settled on Coconut Island Bliss for myself, Vanilla Rainbow Sprinkles for my son, and Pina Colada for my wife. All three donuts were good. I liked the chocolate + peanut + coconut combo on the Coconut Island Bliss. My son liked his sprinkled donut. And the Pina Colada was interesting because it was lemon frosting with shredded coconut. The donuts were $2.75 each, which I think is reasonable for warm, made-to-order donuts. I would stop short of calling these gourmet donuts (see Petit Three for true gourmet), but these are definitely better than Dunkin or grocery store donuts. read more

Wish I could swear to get my point across. These donuts are f***** delicious!!! I walked in having no clue what I was doing and asked an employee for help, he gave me every bit of information I needed to know. Not only were the donuts beautiful to look at, they actually tasted as good as they looked! Note for everyone complaining about these: ALL donuts are sweet, and most are baked in grease. They will be sweet, and they will have a grease to them. But they are not "oh my teeth hurt" sweet! Not sure where the confusion in that lies. Yes they're expensive, yes they are worth it! Made right in front of you and are served warm! I've worked in 2 different donut shops and this is a completely different atmosphere and you can do customization without necessarily having to order ahead! Tip: if you don't want your donut to be mushy, 1.) wait 30 mins after getting it and grab it gentle not gorilla grip it. 2.) go to a bakery where they are made overnight. 3.) order ahead! The menu offers endless flavors. They even have a create your own option just in case you don't see your favorite. My favorite was the Maple Bacon. And if you want to take it to the next level, gentle place a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Speaking with a team member she said people were camped out over night waiting for the opening.
