My fiancé and I tried Dubai strawberries from another spot and realized Sugar Dose is the real deal when it comes to these Dubai strawberries so we came back despite the dissatisfaction from our first time here due to the service. They have the strawberries down to a science with the perfect layering of knafeh, pistachio cream, milky chocolate and sweet, melt in your mouth strawberries.

Nutella, chocolate, pistachio and strawberry mochi waffles

The mochi waffles are really awesome. We got Nutella, chocolate, pistachio and strawberry. It took time to make, so be patient. But the time was worth the wait. It's in a strip mall, the vibe is nice. There are tables to wait and eat.

I visited Sugar Dose and was hopeful for a delicious dessert but sadly, it was just okay. We ordered their mochi waffles in 4 different flavors: strawberry, lotus, chocolate and pistachio. Now here's why I am giving it 3 stars instead of 5: The strawberry sauce tasted like a basic Hershey strawberry sauce. The other flavors were decent with the pistachio was the only tasty one. The consistency of the waffles wasn't chewy like I expected it to be like mochi usually was. Also the service was a bit of a downer because I was getting heartburn and asked for a glass of milk with my order. Instead of charging me a buck or two they said a small glass of plain milk would be $4! I feel like they need to cut down their menu and just focus in on what they are good at. No need to keep mochi waffles on the menu and focus on the ice cream cones and crepes instead.

Stopped by Sugar Dose to try the viral Dubai chocolate and we were definitely not disappointed. We came at around 6 pm on a Saturday, and the place was packed. They have a handful of tables, but many people just picked up their orders and left. The milkshakes and crepes seemed to be what most people were getting. We opted for the pistachio kunafah bar and the lotus kunafah cup. The pistachio kunafah bar was decadent. The chocolate was smooth and rich, and the filling had a nice crunch. The pistachio taste did not overpower the chocolate, and it was not too sweet. The lotus kunafah cup was our favorite. The strawberries pair well with the chocolate and lotus sauce. The kunafah is a great addition for texture and flavor as well. For a dessert option, Sugar Dose is slightly expensive. However, the quality and taste of their creations is well worth it in our option.

I stopped by to the Sugar Dose today to see what the hype is all about - from outside the spot has a standard ambiance but inside they have a cool chocolate fountain and is very nicely lit up. Customer service was fast in terms of taking our order but depending on the rush the time may be longer for you to receive your treats. I ordered 6 strawberry pieces covered in chocolate and an order of the Nutella Bubble Dose for a grand total of $27.48 - pretty expensive. The Nutella Bubble Dose was solid! Definitely recommend this but the strawberry was sour :/ Worth checking out once for sure!

I hope I can save someone from going there. Arrogant people taking orders the menu looks great but it's definitely very overpriced. The food was bad we only got icecream and the strawberry Dubai dessert and it wasn't good.

Greeted when we walked in and had time to look at the menu without being pressured into ordering , which was nice. Staff has really nice hospitality! Saw a takeout order being prepared by staff and their to go packaging was super cute, function, and eco friendly (: it was branded cardboard I think. They also had branded napkin holders which I thought was cute. The ambiance inside this cafe was cute, modern, and clean. Waited patiently for my dine in order and could hear staff freshly making my crepe. Will say definitely worth the wait!

Came here especially for the Lotus Biscoff Crepe! Highly recommend you all to try this spot if you're craving something really sweet !! Definitely it's sugar dose but once a while, why not right :) The service is pretty fast as well. Really nice staff! The ambience is really cute. My videos attached and pictures say it all :) Definitely check out this local business and give them a try! Won't regret !!!

The desserts we ordered were full of fresh fruit and deliciously home made. The inside of the restaurant was clean and a great spot to enjoy our treats. We can't wait to go back.

We ordered Pistachio Dose through Doordash. The crepe was good with a generous spread of pistachios, Nutella and pistachio sauce. It was too sweet and sugary for me but my partner enjoyed it.

I love that they are open late at night and they have a good variety of the viral Dubai chocolates and unique flavors of ice cream and crepes. The workers are also really nice. I will definitely be back.

I had seen this location on my TikTok for you page. on their TikTok video, they stated that they were one of the only ones in Illinois that create the now viral Dubai chocolate bar. From the pictures on yelp this place looks like they make some fantastic sweet creations. We arrived around 7 o'clock in the evening there were about five people inside and it was complete madness. There is nowhere that tells you where to order. Most people are just standing there with a dumbfounded look as to where do we stand? Who do we talk to to place an order? I stood by the register for about 10 minutes before anyone behind the counter acknowledged me There were people that were just pushing in front of me grabbing things there was no order as to who was next in line I spoke with one of the workers who looked aggravated to be there. I told him that I would like to try one of his viral Dubai candy bars there of course is also a language barrier. The people who run this establishment I do not know if they fully understand what I was trying to tell them he began to point to other items and tell me it will be like this. I had no idea what he was talking about. Finally, I think we came to understanding what I wanted. We then just sat and waited for him to give us a chocolate bar. There was already premade all that needed to be done. Was a pistachio drizzle. We waited 10 minutes to get the chocolate bar while waiting another customer came up to us and said are you in line? Everyone was confused. The chocolate bar which was the size of a rice crispy treat cost $10. It was extremely overly sweet. I'm glad that I was able to try this candy bar, but the whole experience was not something that I would ever want to repeat. This is why I'm giving two stars , they need to get some science or convey to their customers while they're walking in where they need to stand in order and where they need to pick up their items. They were three workers who could barely take care of five customers.

The pistachio knafeh bar was good. Not too sweet. It's my first one trying so I'm not sure how it is comparable to others. The crunch was audible, the chocolate tasted chocolate-y than sugary, and the whole experience was filling. We also got the lotus bar and although it was good and had caramel tone, it is a bit on the sweeter side for my taste.

    Menu. Lots of options!

Prices are a little outrageous. The lines are gone, but $32 for 2 ice creams is a bit much.

You could drive right by thinking it was a vacant building except for all the cars in the lot. The notion of vacant building is dispelled immediately upon entry. The place is busy, loud, vibrant with customers clearly enjoying the food and experience. The interior is decorated simply, with muted colors, is well lit, and clean. There are a lot of hard surfaces which makes the ambient noise level fairly high; however, it did not detract from the experience (but just be advised in case you feel this is bothersome). We were greeted warmly and though the place was packed, we were seated quickly. Despite the diner-like vibe, there is no counter, just tables and booths. Our server was prompt, very pleasant, and efficient. The coffee was hot and flavorful. The food: Large portions, well prepared, warm, savory, satisfying. The loaded Cheers omelette, with hash browns and pancakes, was more food than I could enjoy in one sitting so I have leftovers for tomorrow. Prices are in line with more reasonably priced independent eateries. A two-egg, hash browns, pancake combo is $14. This place will be an option in the future.

I ordered the stuffed breakfast biscuit and it came with farmhouse potatoes. When you cut into the biscuit, you'll find bacon, scrambled eggs, and cheese. The biscuit itself was soft to cut and I liked the gravy. My cousin ordered the strawberry crepe and my girlfriend ordered the fried green tomato benedict. The portion sizes are enormous, you could make two meals out of this. I would say the prices are fair since they do give you a lot of food. If you find them expensive, Denny's and Ihop are cheaper alternatives. Everything was delicious. I forgot to mention but I recommend getting the strawberry orange juice. You won't regret it.
