Individuals were very kind and the facility very clean. The options of Lattes, bubble teas, fruit teas, slushies, pastries, desserts, coffee, chai teas, etc. it would be nice if they offered soup as an option with the meat soup. I ordered a Kashmiri Chai... Smooth and balanced with almond milk and pistachios crumbles. It was refreshing but didn't replace my desire for coffee. Lol. So, I later got a small black coffee which was excellent and didn't taste too strong. A variety of dessert options and meat pastries. I was torn between tres leches milk cake or the pistachio. I got the pistachio which was yummy. Just what I needed to feel satisfied without it being too sweet. I spent about 4 hours studying while enjoying my drinks. Tea Time is a tea shop that serves unique and authentic tea,coffee,chai, bubble tea, and pastries from around the world. So many flavors and good smelling aroma in this tea/coffee shop. Incredible food, drinks, and service! The space itself is warm and inviting. What's really nice is that there's a variety of drinks from tea, coffee, refreshers, boba teas, chai. We ordered the chicken tikka puff and the tres leche cake. I would HIGHLY recommend both of those alongside of any of their other delicious looking pastries. Nice space ! They have good outdoor seating as well....my colleague and I ordered 2 types of tea Iranian chai and Adani chai which we didn't want so instead got the Moroccan tea . The owner was sweet to let us get a new tea free of charge . The bathrooms are clean. The tea and food are served in use and throw cups and plates, personally I like regular tea mugs . My Iraqi chai was ok nothing outstanding my chicken samosas were served cold but tasted fine. I'm also bought some chicken puffs home my kids liked them. This is not far from Qahwah House, so it's nice to have another tea/coffee option. The interior is somewhat small, but there's also outdoor seating. The chairs they used are too large for the interior. My wife also felt the interior was too hot and that the AC wasn't running (in July). They have a decent selection of drinks and desserts. We only ordered an Irani chai and a tres leches cake. The Irani chai was excellent; sweet, but not too sweet. The tres leches cake was moist and tasty, although my wife felt it was too sweet. It took a hot minute for our order to come out, I wish they would have brought it out as the prices come out instead of waiting for the whole order, but that's just my preference. My partner really enjoyed her tea and I was this pleasantly surprised as to how good the Moroccan Tea was, it had a nice minty taste to it, not too overwhelming, just perfect! There really are so many different kinds of teas and this place tries to serve it all. From Adeni, to Irani, to Morrocan, to different kinds of slushes and bubble tea. We ordered a chicken Tikka puff, egg puff, ground beef lukmi for savory. For sweet, we ordered the Tres leches cake, Irani chai, taro bubble tea and a brown sugar bubble tea. The puffs and tres leches cake was amazing!!! The puffs are on the pricier side though. The Irani chai was great and a small cup will run you $3 which is perfect. However, we could see that our puffs and chai were ready on the counter and getting cold. Our number had not been called. They serve everything you ordered at the same time and the cold drinks take longer while your hot drinks get cold. It would be better if they served started the cold drinks first and then prepare the warm snacks and hot drinks next. The place is cute with big chairs and a great patio that needs some greenery to cover the busy Roosevelt road though. There are outlets at every table almost so would be a great place to study too. Love this new spot. I went with friends yesterday and the food was delicious - we had the samosas and the puffs, everything was fresh and tasty. The outdoor seating was nice for this time of year so that we could enjoy the last bit of summer. The chai is yummy and so is the coffee, I got mine iced since it was still hot out and it was perfect. Glad this place opened up and looking forward to returning! read more

Located right next to Qahwah House, who is likely their largest competitor. They have a nice seating arrangement with comfortable chairs inside and a nice seating design outside as well. The staff is incredibly friendly. We got 1 Vanilla Velvet latte, Salted Caramel Latte, and Hazelnut Latte along with 2 Chicken 65 puff pastries and 1 Beef Keema puff pastry. They forgot to swap out regular milk for oat milk (I'm lactose intolerant), but that's an honest mistake. The drinks overall, in my opinion, were un-drinkable. Each one was so sweet with either way too much syrup and/or sugar. The pastries looked delicious, but tasted bland. They each had a decent amount of meat inside, but they were layered with cheese inside. The food is good, however, the woman at the register charged me an extra dollar for a medium sized chai. When I brought it to her attention she told me that the saffron is "fresh" and that is why it is a dollar more although the menu does not reflect that price. Not sure where you're getting fresh saffron in Illinois, but whatever. When one of her coworkers brought out a large chai (which happens to be the size for the price I was charged) she sternly told him that the chai was supposed to be a medium. I'm not sure what's going on here and didn't make a big deal about it, but if a mistake was made then the right thing to do would have been to give the right size or adjust the price. If all of this is, in fact, correct, then please either correct the price on your menu or have your cashier tell the customer that the price is different than what is on the menu. It also didn't help that she wanted to place my cold dairy based dessert with items that just came out of the oven, but she did provide me with a different bag when I requested it. I'm happy to pay whatever the actual price is and genuinely wish this business success, but this is the kind of stuff that doesn't seem like a good business practice and creates mistrust. The rest of the staff seem just fine. Please make your chai price consistent with what is on the menu to avoid confusion or else train the staff to explain any differences in prices when charging the customer. Aside from this experience, I would recommend that people go to this establishment-the chai is excellent! I had a better experience when they first opened. read more
