I came in to a very clean and cute aesthetic cafe. I liked the artwork and how bright it was. I was immediately greeted, too. The only thing is that I wish that they had more baked goods on their bakery shelves. Some of the names weren't actually the product behind it. I would have loved to try some basque cheesecake but it looks like it was sold out. I got the tiramisu crepe cake and a brown sugar milk tea. It was Thursday so milk teas are 20% off. I love me some tiramisu and had never seen a crepe cake version. So I got it. It had a strong coffee taste but still creamy and I always enjoy a crepe cake so I think it was nice blend of a tiramisu and crepe cake. The brown sugar milk tea was made to the sugar level I wanted. This place had been on my list to try for awhile. They have cakes and frozen yogurt bites. I felt the cashier was very patient with a family in front of me that couldn't make up their mind. There is minimal seating inside. I went with a oreo cheesecake that cost 9.50 a slice! The cheesecake portion was tasty. I was not a fan of the chocolate on top. They dusted it with cocoa powder. They also gave me a plastic fork to eat it with that was not strong enough to get thru it. Very beautiful presentation of items and would make a nice gift. Wow what a treat. This cake shop has a cozy, inviting vibe and all the cakes are delicious. I got the mango pomelo cake and it was light, fluffy and you could really taste the pomelo flavor. The cream reminded me of a fruit boba drink with how fresh everything was. You can tell the cake is using top quality ingredients. The service here is super friendly and helpful too. This was the third time I've been here and the first couple times the food and the service were superb. 11/22/23 around 6:10-6:15 pm, it seemed the service has declined and the food stayed consistently good. When we walked in, we were not greeted until a few mins later. The employee was too busy talking to some homeless kid that was loitering around and not buying anything. After those few mins, the employee finally gave us some decent service. The place was clean. Recommendation: you probably have to re-train that employee on how to provide better service to paying customers. Also, you shouldn't let loiterers in unless they can at least buy a drink at min. I was in the area for lunch and the cafe caught my attention. Initially I thought I'd just grab a drink, but the Japanese cheesecake looked good. I went with a milk tea with boba and a slice of the cheesecake. The milk tea was ok, good sweetness level, but a little weak/watered down for my preference. I had the cheesecake when I got home and it was delicious. It's also not that sweet, but a really unique texture of firm and tight crumb, but still very light and tender. I wouldn't even know what to quite compare it to and I could have eaten a lot more. I'm going to have to try more Japanese cheesecake now. The man working the counter was very friendly and helpful. Sweet General is in the corner spot of this quaint plaza. The interior is not huge, but adequately sized. It has sort of a Japandi design scheme. We ordered a Mango pomelo cake, an oat milk iced latte, and blue coconut iced latte. The cake was delicious. The quality of the cream was top-notch. It wasn't heavy or greasy. My wife enjoyed her latte; she appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet. The coconut latte was pretty good and the light blue color was interesting, but I didn't taste any coconut. I have major sweet tooth and I was beyond elated when I realized Sweet Tooth is not long far-fetched in Naperville/Aurora but instead closer to home! The mister's birthday was coming and we are all huge fans of Asian dessert. That is inherently a cause for happy indulgence. I stopped by on a weekend and placed an order for a four inch chocolate cherry cake for pickup in a few days. At the time of pickup, they notified me that there was a miscommunication and they did not have the chocolate cherry cake made. They apologized profusely and asked for me to choose a different four inch cake in addition to gifting us with several other treats. I ended up selecting the mango passion fruit cake as a replacement which was superb. It was subtly sweet and it retained very strong mango flavors. They gifted us with the Japanese light cheesecake, chocolate box cake, and custard cream cake. Their actions really magnified the extent of their sincere apologies and their gesture was beyond generous. They also offered us candles for the birthday celebration but I declined because I felt like the mistake was simple and the treats definitely compensated and won us over. The deserts are beautifully decorated and look absolutely delicious. With many choice of drinks to choose from, I opted for the grapefruit sparkling water. It was refreshing with a slice and pulps of a grapefruit. I enjoyed it very much. I also picked up a piece of chocolate box cake for my mom. She munched on it before I had a chance to take a photo. She said it was one of the best chocolate cakes she ever had. The Cafe is spotless and clean. There are plenty of tables and seating. We were visiting a neighboring restaurant and stumbled upon this cafe. As a houseplant lover, I loved the vibes here! I ordered the taro milk tea (25% sugar), and I really enjoyed my drink! The tapioca was soft and chewy, and the tea flavor was strong. I also really liked the taro puree which provided a welcome texture contrast. OMG!! I am so happy I found this bakery. Let me tell you, I love Asian bakery because their pastries are not too sweet and it's fluffy and airy. The interior is so cute and clean. The best milk tea I've ever had! I got the taro tea, and it had a delicious taro cream mixed with the tea. I also got a slice of Japanese cheesecake, pistachio crepe cake, and a taro coconut pudding. Was a really big fan of both but the coconut taro pudding was fantastic! The coconut flavor was not overwhelming and I enjoyed the mixed texture of the taro with the smooth coconut pudding.
