    Coffee And Bagel

Chill little cafe in Westmont in the downtown area. It's not much to look at, but it has a few tables. Brewed Awakening is about as basic as a coffee shop can get. Has no non dairy milks. There's not much to eat besides a few bagels and cookies, basic stuff. A limited selection of coffee and food. It's about $3 for the drip coffee, which is about as basic tasting as it gets. They have cappuccinos and lattes, but be warned there's no choices of non dairy milk for these. Absolutely none. In a modern day coffee shop. Also nothing to eat but bagels and prepackaged cookies. It's about $3 for a bagel, with cream cheese being the only spread. A tip: bring a few packs of jelly. The selection is a joke but at least it's clean for the most part except for being kind of dusty and musty. For as bare bones as this place is, it's easy seeing why it's not busy. It seems most people get stuff to go. There's a few regulars who hang out in here, though.

Terrific coffee shop in downtown Westmont. Coffee and chocolate muffin were stellar. To top it off, local musicians Jules G Music and Stavros Gregoriou completely made my day on guitar and vocals. Follow these guys, they are terrific!

I am house/cat sitting out in Westmont. So, on my way back downtown to work, I stopped to grab some caffeine for my drive. Wow! What a great little spot Brewed Awakening is! The charm is hidden from the outside. Once you walk in, it feels like you are walking into someone's home. Sweet locals were relaxing with their coffee and a newspaper, coffee mugs hanging on the wall, cute seating areas and even a changeable train schedule. This is fantastic because the shop is located next to the Metra station. The two ladies working this morning were adorable. They were so sweet and personable. They told me they bake the gorgeous muffins themselves each morning and asked where I was off to. I ordered a simple black coffee - the true test as the taste is not hidden by flavors, milk or whipped cream. It was delicious. Of course, I tried a muffin. Once I got to my office, my highly anticipated breakfast was enjoyed. I tried the pumpkin cheesecake. Let me just say, it was so good I'm still thinking about it. I had no idea Westmont was so cute. And now I know you can get delicious coffee and a tasty treat in an adorable little spot. I will definitely return!

Worst than gas station coffee. Styrofoam cups were terrible. My wife and I had to throw our coffee and latte away.

    Do they have cold brew?

Yes, including Nitro. I'm not a cold coffee kind of guy but my daughter raves.

I had one of the best experience. From the adorable location of the Bakery, to the wonderful service and lets not forget the super delicious food! Inside of the place consist of about 4 tables and some high tops. It's in a cute little house with a rustic feel of wood that I love. A IG worthy name wall and super clean! Which is very important to me. The gentleman behind the counter was soooo nice, friendly, knowledgeable and I wonder if he's the owner but I am all about supporting local small businesses. I would come back for the service alone! I don't eat meat so I ordered the Portobello, red pepper and havarti cheese sandwich. My bestie ordered the ham and cheese and both was amazing!!! Mine wasn't overly salty, cheese was gooey, mushrooms and peppers was deliciously seasoned and best of all, the sandwich was crispy to the bite! Free parking right outside of the restaurant and free water for your convenience. I already have a coffee but we both took some pulled pork, chicken and spinach empanadas to go and everything was amazing! 10/10 on everything! Can't wait to bring my family to try the sweets and other stuff like acai bowl, cookies, cake jar and much much more!!! Please stop in and try it for yourself! You will fall in love! I know I did! Thank you Bacuri Bakery! I will be back!

5 stars because they have large coffee options…read more.. Nice spot in Lombard great for business meetings, studying, or just getting you a quick coffee and pastry. Close at 10pm but if you need longer later hours a 1am tea shop is about a quarter mile down the road with good options also. Parking lot with plenty of parking. My highlight is that they have booths. Plenty of tables and seating. Good menu options for lattes, iced, hot, espresso, etc. Reasonable priced and they have 20oz coffee. The service was nice as the girl was kind but she didn't seem to understand me well and she didn't know if the coffee was Turkish or not. Therefore, I ordered an Americano with their homemade pistachio sauce. It was a nice beverage. I also ordered a Turkish bread with ground beef. It too was delicious, hot and fresh. The ambiance is inviting. The pastries and mini to small cake options were quite beautiful. The nose level was very quiet until little ones came in. Still tolerable but if you are studying and it's busy don't forget your headphones. Lol. I studied for about 3 hours and I would definitely return again.

But, I am reviewing the Lombard location. The selection was good and fresh, although some of their items are a bit pricey. I ordered cake pops, brownies, and a chocolate chip cookie. The sales person was pleasant and quick. This store is their biggest store, and they feed the Winfield and Schaumburg stores. They make their pastries at this location, so you'll probably get the freshest selection at the Lombard location. I had bought a gift card from Costco for Sweet Reserve. I admit if I hadn't bought it, and received a discount at Costco for it, I probably would not have noticed the store. It's in a small strip mall on Roosevelt road which has hundreds of strip malls off the road. The store itself is clean and well kept. It does have a limited selection of products but they were all pretty good. The brownies are very frudgey, just the way I like them. The cake pops are sweet, but a little dry. The cookie has a lot of chips in them. Overall, I liked the place.

However I have to say that I was dissatisfied the second time around using this bakery. I ordered a birthday cake for my sons first birthday. It was a very big party and we had about 80 people attend. I was decorating the room when the cake was delivered to the room. I didn't get a moment to look at the cake while preparing for the guest to arrive. I was making sure that everyone that was arriving was greeted when a guest of the party brought it to my attention that the cake had the wrong name on it! Since it was a guest that noticed it I wasn't sure how many others had seen it before I did. I was so embarrassed that I tried my best to pull the name off of the cake. That ended up making a hole on the front of the cake. So if the Guest didn't notice the wrong name the surely noticed the hole in the front of the cake! It was a Sunday so I wasn't able to contact Laura until Monday. She wasn't able to get back to me right away at the time but when I spoke to her she didn't really know what to do to help me. After numerous conversations & emails she agreed to give me a partial refund of $50. The total paid for the cake was over $200. I agreed to this however she never gave me the refund. The party was in March of 2015 and it's currently January of 2016 and I haven't received anything from Laura. So I can say I will be looking for a new bakery for my sons Birthday this year.
