    Taro Milk Tea
    Anita P.

The taro tea tasted more like coconut milk tea and was wayyyy too sweet and artificial tasting for my liking. You can't adjust the sweetness on these teas either. The boba itself doesn't have a horrible texture, but I don't think I'd recommend the teas in general. I've heard the frozen yogurt here is much better though.

Left to right: Almond Tea bubble tea, strawberry smoothie, brown sugar bubble tea

Definitely a really nice spot. The vibe is really calm and there are a few games and books out that you are welcome to use. Can come to study, chit-chat with friends, or personally to sketch and draw. My family and I have gone multiples times. We've ordered Korean dumpling, a variety of bubble teas, and I love the caramel macchiato, both hot and cold. Fro-yo is super tasty, and I can't wait to go back again soon.

Recently I was messaged by an employee of this business regarding my review. They were completely unprofessional.

    Decor

The decor and vibe is very relaxing. The only thing better is the tasty frozen yogurt. Highly recommend it! Highly recommend the pomegranate raspberry sorbet

    It's yummy

One of the best milk teas I've head, very well priced too. Only downside was that we arrived around 8:30 and they had no more coffee

LICK IT UP This ice…read morecream parlor in downtown Downers Grove appeals to all generations. The cleverly-named Every Day's A Sundae has a home just north of the train tracks on Main St between Gia Mia & Sushi House. There's another location in downtown Hinsdale, also near a BNSF train station. Commuters on the Metra must love getting ice cream after work. Inside, there's seating for 15-20 people plus a couple benches outside. They stock Sherman's ice cream, a beloved place based out of South Haven, Michigan that I've been to several times (I can attest that it's the real deal and not an impostor). They have frozen bananas and icees in addition to over 40 flavors of hard scooped ice cream. I got a single scoop of the "chocomania" ($4) and it was great. Our 4yo loved his simple yet satisfying vanilla cone w/sprinkles ($5) and our toddler enjoyed a few spoonfuls of my wife's birthday cake cone ($4). The young staff were good about free samples and kept a brave face despite a gaggle of screaming kiddos. * TL;DR * You better finish that thing before it melts! If you haven't yet gone out for an ice cream cone so far this season (or dish, I don't judge), what are you doing with your life?? It's been sweltering for weeks, but a double scoop of Mackinac Island Fudge or Traverse City Cherry can properly cool things down. Young kids -- and the young at heart -- flock to Every Day's A Sundae when the weather gets hot, so expect a crowd and/or wait on evenings between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Prices are reasonable and there's lots of flavors to pick from, so swing on by before summer's gone!

The staff was friendly, and they get their ice cream from somewhere in Michigan. Overall, we enjoyed experiencing this novel ice cream place while in the area for a trampoline play date.

Route 66 signs, Coca-Cola decorations, black-and-white checkered floors. Felt like one of those old roadside diners from the 1950s. Honestly, the place has so much personality, not just another ice cream shop. The people working there were super friendly and nice too, which made it even better. I kept it simple and got a chocolate scoop in a waffle bowl. The ice cream was super creamy and refreshing. The chocolate flavor was rich but smooth. Classic old-school chocolate taste, deep cocoa flavor with that creamy finish that stays on your tongue after each bite. The waffle bowl added a nice crunch and that fresh waffle smell made the whole thing even better together. Simple order, but it really hit the spot. Definitely one of those places you come back to just for the vibe alone.

I came into the ice cream shop looking for a nice treat, and instead I was greeted with over priced ice cream and a rude owner mistreating her employees. And this shop is awesome!! They have a lot of flavors that can be eaten in cups, waffle/sugar/or plain cones, or in the form of shakes/malts. They also have banana splits, traditional sundaes, and floats/sodas. Plus other treats like gourmet popcorn and chocolate dipped bananas. The inside is decorated so cute! It's painted vintage lavender-pink and white. There are cute photos and a mural on the wall depicting the Sherman's ice cream they serve which provides a modernly executed old-fashioned charm. I liked the vintage ice cream wrapper puzzle framed on the wall (pictured.) We loved the ice cream. What they do right with their product is the wide selection of flavors. Lately Oberweiss has severely limited their selection (a lot of places have....category management was the necessity of the past decade). But it's ICE CREAM! When you go out, into downtown Hinsdale no less, you have come to expect greatness, gourmet, top-of-the-game kind of food situations. This assortment of flavors, cones, toppings, etc. brings that essence to the going out for ice cream experience but doesn't toss out the folksy soda-shop charm that goes so well with it (and doesn't make it feel forced, either.) This business so gets all of that. Nice job!

I felt $7.49 for a single scoop hot fudge sundae was a little much but maybe it's inline with other ice cream places. My daughter did not like the strawberry banana smoothie she ordered. The young lady who helped us was cordial but not particularly friendly. The other girl behind the counter spent almost the entire time we were there (we ate our ice cream at a table inside) chatting with a female customer who she obviously knew. I also accidentally tipped my cup over at the register and about half of my whipped cream fell out onto the counter. I told the young lady who served us what happened, apologized and tried to clean it up a bit with some napkins. She only mentioned she could clean it - in hindsight it would have been nice if she had offered to give me a bit more to replace what I lost but that never happened. When she was done charging us, she then came out from behind the counter and sat and chatted with another third young lady who was there (possibly another worker?). It just gave an unprofessional vibe and I do wish more adults in businesses would provide the young adults with some guidance and lessons in good customer service within the hospitality industry.
