I also got the Vanilla Coconut latte, which basically tasted like a coconut latte, so if you love coconut it would be your jam. Service was fine, the folks working there were pleasant. It has lots of bright natural lighting, and plenty of seating, but I do wish the chairs were more comfortable. This isn't a place I would bring a laptop to set up shop and work for a few hours, personally, but others may feel differently. Parking lot had plenty of space as well, which was great. LOOOOOOVE! I've been to several MOTW locations in IL and they all continue to amaze me in the best way possible. The Lombard location is floor to ceiling windows throughout, letting in natural light. This location is very spacious and has plenty of seating (indoor and outdoor). It is not cramped at all. There are several places for great photo ops too. Service throughout was great. The staff member that assisted me was very helpful and friendly. He may have been the only person there and he was able to keep up with the constant influx of customers. I got a hot Yemeni chai as my drink and it was creamy, bold, and flavorful. MOTW's chai is my favorite when compared to other Yemeni shops. It is sooooo good!! For food I got a samosa empanada which was very tasty. I appreciate that they warmed it up for me too. There is an up charge for sauce, which I did get. The spicy aioli paired very well with the samosa empanada. I believe the empanadas are from savory crust. read more

Stopped into MOTW Coffee in Lombard for a morning treat! They have (4) IL locations throughout the burbs and this was my first time visiting one. I was surprised at how large the inside was with plenty of seating to catch up with friends, work remote, or have a solo date. Their menu is not overly large but I appreciated how straight forward it was. All food items were also on display which helped me decide easily. I ended up ordering the Iced Rose Cardamom Latte & French Toast Muffin. My order was ready within minutes and the staff member even heated up my muffin some. The place was open, welcoming, and had a calm atmosphere. It was pretty quiet, which makes sense for a morning visit -- though I did wonder if, like some other coffee shops, they choose not to play music at that time. I ordered a small iced vanilla lavender latte (decaf, of course). It started off great -- the first few sips were flavorful -- but as I kept drinking, the taste seemed to fade. Popped in for a quick coffee and snack before I got a tattoo at Alchemy right up the road. Staff were very friendly, easy to order. The coffee shop is huge and seems easy to settle into with a laptop to do some work. The latte was pretty good, couldn't taste much of the pistachio but it is a subtle flavor. I enjoyed the samosa, it was essentially just samosa filling inside an empanada casing. I love that they have a multi-religion prayer/quiet room available to anyone to use. It is true about their parking lot. The parking lot facing the apartments are residential and the lot facing the cafe along with shared shops are public. Make sure you park on the correct side just in case. It doesn't look like it from the outside but the inside is huge. There is no shortage of seating unless it gets absurdly busy. They have lattes, refreshers, espressos, chai, hot teas, ice cream, pound cakes, and a variety of pastries. The menu is Middle Eastern inspired with influences from Latin America (empanadas) and America (muffins and croissants). We ordered a date cardamom latte, green, strawberry, mango refresher, pistachio milk cake, and bird's nest baklava. The drinks were good. Neither was too sweet or bitter. The pistachio milk cake was surprisingly very moist and flavorful. The bird's nest baklava was not sweet, a good crunch from the pistachios and bird's nest. Service was very friendly. We came here on a Wednesday night. It is a big cafe that opens late. It is a perfect place for people to hang out, do work, or study. They have many different varieties of pastries to pick from: croissants, muffins, milk cake, baklava, Dubai chocolates, and empanadas. They also have a lot of different flavors on lattes and refreshers. We ordered pistachio milk cake, bird's nest, strawberry mango refresher, and date cardamom latte. The milk cake was very moist and not too sweet. I like the bird's nest the best because I love pistachios. It was crunchy and filled with pistachio. It wasn't too sweet. It made me want to get a second one. The latte was good. The staff was nice and friendly. He took the time to tell us what each item was. Their date Cardamon latte was excellent. One of the best lattes I've had. The date cookies were also excellent and perfectly done. The service was great. There is plenty of places to sit inside the ambiance is better than most coffee shops in the area, and better than anything in St Charles/Geneva (where I'm based). It's truly a hidden gem in that regard. The only negative was the croissant I ordered was stale, and impossible to chew - not fresh. I would recommend their coffee and date cookies, just maybe skip the croissants. I will ignore than in the review because everything else was perfect. i've been eyeing this place for a long time, but never had the chance to come since it's an hour away from me. I had something to do in the area and finally got to try. i love this place!! the coffee shop is open super late and also early if you're a morning riser!! tons of tables. there's outside seating as well (which was very dusty unfortunately). i got a seasonal drink, the Biscoff Pumpkin and it's super good. $7.68 for a medium is pretty absurd though, but at least it's tasty i guess. yes, the wifi reaches outside!! and there are a few outlets to use along the walls. i wish i lived closer!! read more

A perfect cup, beautiful space, and a mission worth supporting Easily one of the best coffee shop experiences I've ever had. My cappuccino was outstanding, probably the best I've had in my life. My wife's chai tea was equally impressive, and the crumb cake we shared was delicious. The space is beautiful, with a smart, modern aesthetic, touches of Turkish and Middle Eastern design, plenty of natural light, and immaculately clean. Their mission is inspiring, and it's worth taking a moment to browse the book they have on display about it. Nasser, who was working during our visit, was very friendly and attentive. What a beautiful coffee shop! There is an abundance of parking, and the shop itself is very clean and spacious, looks like a great place to get some work/studying done. Brownie points for the prayer room! We tried the biscoff latte and Spanish latte. The employee gave me a heads up that the biscoff latte would be sweet, and she was right lol. The medium comes with two scoops of biscoff and you could get less but I tried the full order anyway, it was sweet but tasty! The Spanish latte has condensed milk and cinnamon and that was pretty good as well. They offer a bunch of pastries and even tres leches cake in different flavors (coffee, pistachio, Nutella?). I fully regret not getting a cake but I will be back for sure lol I think the best part about this coffee shop is the service. Right off the bat it is so cute inside. I love that they have a prayer area. That's welcome for anybody of any faith. There are a lot of options to order. The coffee was delicious and the first time we went Hooriya the barista was so sweet and delightful. The second time we went, we went after Jumuah and the place was packed out so I'm gonna give the barista who was taking orders the benefit of the doubt, but she was very unpleasant. I found this cute coffee shop from other Yelpers. Like others have said, the parking lot is a little strange as some spots are for the apartment residents. I usually get a plain, black iced coffee from coffee shops. Theirs was only ok. Price for the coffee was reasonable compared to their specialty drinks. I will also say that I received my coffee almost immediately compared to guests ordering specialty drinks. Now their muffins --- huge! I had the blueberry that was pretty tasty. My husband ordered two others the lemon (my fave of theirs!) And the double chocolate (kinda dry) The ambiance here is amazing. There are plenty of tables to enjoy time with friends or work, study, read, etc. I was able to read a book without distraction. The natural lighting they get in here is great. The parking lot for MOTW is a little strange, but inside the coffee shop is spacious. It's really loud inside, though. There's also outdoor seating. The menu is decent. Normal espresso drinks along with some unique lattes, tea, and pastries. We ordered a cappuccino and a rose cardamom latte. The foam was weak on the cappuccino and the coffee was mediocre. We had high expectations headed to this place after seeing an Instagram reel about how great it was. Took a long drive of 40 minutes and tried a lot of items. The coffee wasn't that great at all wouldn't give it another shot. We got the pistachio latte, the biscoff latte, hazelnut and brown sugar cold brew. None of them were good. I do think the pastries were good. The croissants filled with chocolate was really nice. The biscoff milk cake was okay. The Dubai chocolate cake was a little better. Got to say I'm pleasantly surprised. We came here on opening day and the line was out the door. I honestly didn't think people would be all over it like that. I was worried about the location not being in the heart of where all the halal restaurants and hangouts are in Lombard, but it didn't seem to matter. It's a bit further north for us who live more south. Even though the line was long, it went pretty quick. Once we made our order, we got our drinks within a few minutes or five minutes max. Everyone loved their drink, we got the biscoff latte and even the banana muffin was delicious. I love that they have a little corner to pray in. Except that when you bend, everyone will see you, so don't depend too much on that lol. I counted 18 tables with 4 chairs each, which is 72 seats. They said that they have seating for 100 people, so that includes the outside chairs as well. Overall, it's beautifully done and I wish them success. I just wish I was closer, but I'm sure I'll come here once in awhile. read more

Son: this is a okay place I got a blueberry muffin and chi tea. The muffin was very good fresh. The staff was nice but the chi tea was something I did not like at all it had something different about it that a ten year old did not like but over all okay place. Dad: It was cardamom. The smell and taste of it might make chai tea authentic, as an employee informed us. But for a kid that's used to chai tea out of a Keurig machine, it's not his cup of tea. We were informed that they could not make chai without the cardamom, so they could not make my son's tastebuds happy. I enjoyed the sizable muffin, as well as the hazelnut latte. My son had to wait a long time for his tea. I think someone else took his cup; the staff made another one for us without question. Kinks can be worked out, though. I know there were lines out the door throughout their opening the prior day. While I'm thrilled that downtown Lombard has a new go-to place - especially south of the tracks - the space has a lot of windows, mirrors, high ceilings, garage flooring, and echo, which doesn't help when trying to hear for your order number. A beautiful sunny morning was welcome, but how will MOTW feel on a gray afternoon or rainy evening? I like a little more intimacy with my cup of ambition. It might get there in time. Here's hoping that the menu expands to offer other choices for kids that aren't used to exotic spices, and feels a little more homey. Meanwhile, we'll continue to appreciate new experiences that come our way. read more

I found a purse left outside on the patio and brought it back to the cafe's front desk to make sure it was returned. The first thing the staff member said to me was, "You didn't take anything did you?" I was shocked and a little offended. I went out of my way to do the right thing and was immediately treated like a thief. I hope the cafe provides training for its employees on how to speak to customers. Clearly everyone felt so comfortable that they didn't want to leave. I ordered the Date Cardamom Latte (Iced) and my friend order it Hot. Loved the flavor, coffee was smooth, definitely recommend it! We also ordered the Coffee crumble pound cake which was $6. That would be my only complaint, that the cake slices were a little pricey for their size - Starbucks only charges $4 for a slice of cake. I went here just a bit ago, and there is not too much to say about this place. I ordered a Triple Chocolate Muffin and a Green Strawberry Refresher. There are 3 things I am rating about this place. Food, Service, and Ambiance. First, the food. The food was exceptional, but the price was too high. Second, the service. The workers are nice and I like the fact that they are diversifying the community job market. Next, the ambiance. From the outside, there are windows around the whole front and an outdoor patio to watch and sit in the sun. On the inside, there is plenty of seating and window seat views to watch from the inside.
