Red Velvet and Habibi
Melody Y.

The service and drinks were amazing! This was our first visit and we were suggested to try the popular Habibi latte. My friend also enjoyed the Red Velvet latte. We went during their Wednesday happy hour, which was a great deal of BOGO 50%! I usually have milk alternatives and our barista let me know that they use a sweetened cream, so my drink was going to be less sweet. I really appreciated her honesty, and the drink was still super delicious and sweet with oat milk! They also serve real camel's milk in their cooler: available in whole, strawberry, and chocolate. We tried the strawberry and it was definitely a cool experience! It was just a bit thinner than milk. We were too excited to try our pastries so no pictures; but we got the tiramisu, which was so yummy and perfectly balanced with great coffee flavor. The chocolate croffle was super soft, warm, and filled with delicious Nutella. We worked on a group project for over an hour and enjoyed the comfortable chairs and large tables. The wall murals were also beautiful and warm toned. Overall a great experience! We're eager to come back.

Great place for tea and snacks. Not as loud as most of the other chai places so good place to meet clients or to have small Meetings. Service was good and they have good variety of drinks.

Shagf Coffee is a Dubai-based chain. This one is located in a somewhat dinky plaza, but parking is adequate and the interior is really nice. Plenty of seating and comfy chairs. The menu has a good mix of standard coffee drinks and unique creations. We ordered a karak tea, coconut latte, and carrot cake. The cake was excellent; tasty without being overly sweet. The coconut latte was okay; something I could easily make at home with Torani syrup. The karak tea was pretty good, but weaker than other at places. Service was friendly. Pricing was on par with other similar coffee shops (i.e. not cheap).

Best coffee in Chicago by far! I have tried many, many coffee shops and nothing get this close. Try the Habibi Latte, with the best Pistachio cheesecake ever! Fast service! Beautiful interior with great music.

Shaghf Cafe is the newest tea place open on the oversaturated Roosevelt Road. I think we are over 15 tea places now. Shaghf is nicely decorated and the seats are super comfortable. I didn't see a lot of outlets so I'm not sure if it would be a great place to get some work done. I ordered the Shaghf frappe and my friend ordered the karak chai, zatar croissant and the croffle. My drink was $8 without tax and tip and it was tiny! It tasted good but wasn't extraordinary. The zatar croissant was excellent and came in cute slide out packaging. The cheese croffle was great too and tasted like labneh. My friend said the chai tasted like it had saffron in it. A drink and one dessert will cost you around 20 so it's definitely pricey. I don't think I can afford to come with my family would definitely come back with a friend for some tea and one pastry. It did take us a while to get out drinks even though we were the only customers so if you are in a rush, this place is not for you.

Couldn't get a good click, the chandelier looks lovely

The karak chai was pretty standard! A tad bit pricey but a good place to chat/hang late at night

When this happens, you want the person taking the order to express an interest in helping me make a decision, based off of what they've tried, feedback they've seen from past orders, and stuff like that. The worker seemed very much like, I just work here, attitude. So I got no help on what to order. Also, the reason I came here was because I saw on their website that they are top 100 coffee shop according to yelp. I didn't think anyone would lie about this, but MOTW is not on the 2025 list of top 100 coffee shops? https://www.yelp.com/article/top-100-coffee-shops-2025 So there is a chance this is just made up, or at the very least very outdated laurels that they're holding onto. I think on all fronts this was a poor culinary experience. Milk cake might not be my thing but I didn't enjoy it. The banana bread matcha basically tasted like if you grinded an actual banana bread into a purée and you were just drinking it, and with a hint of matcha I guess. Definitely don't order if you want a matcha. The caramel avalanche iced latte tasted like there's some kind of coffee base, and they basically tried to drown it out with caramel. I mean, what else did I expect from a drink with avalanche in its name? Except it didn't even taste sweet like there's barista promised, it just tasted very bitter and like there's flavor is drowned out by caramel and there was no coffee component. I went to another coffee shop in the area to confirm this, and the difference between this and a real caramel machiatto is night and day, I don't know what kind of person actually likes this drink or why it exists on the menu. A brief comment on the vibes, it's clean and there was a lot of seating, honestly a little Sus that there wasn't a lot of people there on a Sunday morning, I've seen other cafes in the area be far more packed, so that might also say something about how people feel.

Stopped in after a nearby doctor appointment on a whim - not a bad choice. They had plenty of food…read moreoptions which I appreciated, and ended up getting a beef empanada. Pretty tasty! I also got the Vanilla Coconut latte, which basically tasted like a coconut latte, so if you love coconut it would be your jam. Service was fine, the folks working there were pleasant. It has lots of bright natural lighting, and plenty of seating, but I do wish the chairs were more comfortable. This isn't a place I would bring a laptop to set up shop and work for a few hours, personally, but others may feel differently. Parking lot had plenty of space as well, which was great. If I'm in the area again I would go back.

Reminds me of Paris Baguette. You clean a platter and tongs and plate up. I got three chocolate dipped Belgian waffles. Nice crystals of sugar. My family and I wanted more. (Turn on your speaker for the vids to get a better sense of the environment.) This place is more like an institutional cafeteria in decor, activity, and high ambient noise with too many hard surfaces making for an unsettling experience. Don't come here thinking you're going to quietly ease into the day with a cup of coffee and croissant contemplating the meaning of your existence. The floor plan at this location more closely emulates its major French-inspired competitor (also corporate South Korean) and a much condensed bakery offering than the Naperville (Ogden Ave.) location. You pick your own goods from various cases and get your coffee at the counter. The counter service has a disjointed workflow and they can't seem to get to the point where you leave the counter with all of your order, having to wait for your coffee or some other item. They then yell out (yes, yell) your name over the background din. You have to go up and ask if they just said your name. It's actually sort of funny, and a bit annoying. I do have to say the food itself is actually pretty good but nothing near what you would actually experience in Paris, but still good, flavorful. The coffee holds up to scrutiny as well. Though Tous Les Jours seems to offer consistently good everyday food quality, this location, overall, due to the noise levels and semi-sterile environment, resulted in an unenjoyable experience--I would not be back to this location as there are too many better alternatives.
