First impression- wow! There were so many specialty drinks I had no idea what to chose! I went with the Ube latte which is something I have never tried or even heard of before (I mean, how do you even make a yam a latte??). Usually specialty drinks can be expensive in nice coffee shops like this, but it only came out to a bit over 5 dollars. It was so amazing, sweet without being too sweet, and the perfect ube flavor for someone relatively uninitiated with the purple root. It also came out super quick, I could see them working on it while I finished ordering! The employees are all very kind, one of them complimented my wallet and I love compliments so it just set the tone for a great day. I got a seat by the window. There is plenty of natural light in here and plenty of great vibes. About 7 tables in the main area, a couch, and a big table in a room towards the back. Also, a big mural and lots of plants. Really fun and artsy environment. They were selling t-shits and merch which all looked cool and had nice designs. Once I become a regular here (which I now intend on!) I think I will definitely have to get a shirt or hoodie. I noticed there aren't many reviews yet for here which leads me to believe it is not as popular as it deserves to be. Absolutely might be my new favorite cafe in oak park. Brrw point sets a mark with free wifi, gluten free pastry options and affordable pricing on their beverages. Upon entering on a Sunday afternoon, it was quiet, the music was nice and the staff was on par with their service. I was serviced with smiles and generosity. The two women helped me pick the perfect pastry to go along side my lavender chai latte and regular chai latte, which was a gluten free vegan Ube muffin topped with cinnamon sugar. They warm the pastry up for me which definitely made it better. I maybe spent $15 for two drinks and a pastry which was phenomenal considering other places would have been higher in price. I'll definitely be returning to try other pastries and enjoy the large space the cafe has. read more

Happy I got the chance to visit this adorable coffee shop. This place was so inviting the moment I stepped inside. They also have a small seating area outside in front. Once you step in, you are greeted with their beautiful display of their coffee assortments, coffee syrup, mugs, etc. They even sell jewelry! It felt very spacious inside and it was very very clean. Ube muffin: This muffin is gluten free and vegan. It was absolutely delish. I'm filipino so I will buy anything with ube. The muffin is a nice/rich/deep purple. They did a great job with the flavor because it didn't taste or look artificial at all. The consistency was moist and chewy. I really enjoyed this muffin and I would buy it again in a heart beat. Poetry & Prose specialty latte: They have a couple specialty lattes that all sounded so good. This one in particular has vanilla/praline/cinnamon flavoring. They nailed the right amount of sweetness. A cool coffee spot with an abundance of drink options and a variety of good snacks and breakfast baked goods. Coffee is always tasty whether I get hot or iced. Had to come try out this new location. I have to say I have never been to the other location but I love the feeling of this coffee shop! They offer a very eclectic selection of coffees that can put Starbucks to shame. They just released their summer menu as well! A must try with the lavender lemonade!!! Brewpoint is a go to coffee shop for me whenever I am in the area. Their cold brew is always solid. The atmosphere is great! Modern but still has a cozy vibe. Really friendly and helpful staff. Whenever I feel like being brace and ordering something other than a cold brew, I can count on a staff member's recommendation! Such a cute little coffee shop that is woman and minority owned! Stopped in for a coffee meet up and to get some work done . It probably seats about 20-30 people. Very inviting and yummy drink options. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. I opted for the borealis and a blueberry and lemon scone. The website describes the drink as "The Brewpoint signature latte. Creamy oat milk, balanced espresso, & a sweet, nutty base paired with honey & cinnamon for an incomparable drink experience." They were right! It was extremely yummy! And that scone was probably one of the best I've ever tasted! I'll definitely be back when I need a change of scenery since I work from home. A new Brewpoint location gets nothing less than 5 stars from me! I've been a loyal customer of Brewpoint for 3+ years and I am always recommending it. They truly have something for everyone. Lattes, drip, cold coffees, smoothies, teas, you name it! Brewpoint does a really great job of serving the community, which is what they stand for. And they go above and beyond serving their community by hosting events where small business vendors can show off and sell their craft! I've tried many drinks, but you can never go wrong with any of the signature lattes. My favorite being the Borealis with oat milk. Yum! Not only do they have any amazing drink menu, but their retail products are also top notch. You can buy 12oz/16oz/5lb bags of coffee beans, and they have many blends to choose from. The value is amazing as the prices are not outrageous and you know you are supporting a small business. Skip the chain coffee purchase and take the little bit of extra time out of your way to come to Brewpoint. The coffee is the best in the area anyways so it should be a no-brainer. When I heard of this place, I was so excited. I've never gone to a Brewpoint Cafe. Then I put it in my GPS and my anxiety peaked in. It was about a 30 min drive from me and that's with tolls. But it was SO WORTH THE DRIVE! Upon entering, you're met with beautiful decor. I spoke with the manager who was so kind and enthusiastic. She explained everything to me. From their Summer 2021 menu, I chose the Ube Latte, Lavender Lemonade as well as a Herbed Goat Cheese Croissant. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! The Ube Latte was divine. You could actually taste the ube! I hope and pray they keep this on their real menu one day. It's amazing. The Lavender Lemonade was so good too! You can definitely taste the balance of the lavender with the lemonade. My sister who is super picky with her drinks loved it! It was very refreshing. The croissant- man was that delicious. It was the perfect savory treat. So beautiful that the establishment puts so much time and effort curating a creative menu. You can tell they put in a lot of love in opening up this place. I just wish it was closer to me! I would frequent it more often. From a price point, yes, it was a bit expensive. But not incomparable to other coffee shops- and at least this one is actually original and creative in their recipes! I thought it was completely fair. Another thing I love- they have this area just to sell items from local businesses. What a beautiful way to promote buying from local. There's also a printer in the corner which I thought was so smart and means they actually care for their customers and want them to stay and get work done! I like that they do big block ice cubes to keep your drink from getting watered down (although with the larger ice it takes a bit for my iced latte to get cold enough for me and I don't enjoy it right away). The service is prompt and I could see chilling with a friend here for a while although I always get my drink to go! I don't have an issue with parking. read more

Super delicious coffee! I was pleasantly surprised when I came here for a quick latte and it was so tasty and well made! Milk was creamy, beans had nice hints of chocolate and nutty flavor. First time going today and I got the equinox drink with oat milk and the lady recommended a pinch of salt with it and it was delicious!!! It's a maple flavored coffee and it's not too sweet. I did get the ham and swiss croissant, however it was not to my liking, it's just a personal preference on it. Definitely would get the coffee again though! read more

There's a plethora of coffee shops right outside my doorstep but I will always choose to walk the extra ten minutes just to come here. It's women owned, the workers are always friendly and it's nice and cozy inside. Not to mention, their coffee is my absolute favorite in the area. I've only been here a handful of times and I would always order an iced ube latte. I recently tried their iced poetry and prose with oat milk and I swear every time I took a sip of it I went "mmMmm." Favorite coffee shop in all of Chicago! Personal favorite is the Poetry and Prose but you can't go wrong with any order!

FOOD AND DRINK: In addition to signature lattes, coffee, and tea, Brewpoint Craft (formerly L!ve Cafe) has cocktails, pastries, and charcuterie. This is not the place to go if you are looking for vegan food beyond dessert, and vegetarian options are limited. I sought out an herbed goat cheese croissant, and I had a signature ube latte. My friend had a chocolate croissant and iced coffee. The croissants here are not traditional crescent shape with the spread in the middle; they are more like square pockets with the filling very close to the bottom, and they're crispier on top than I was expecting. The goat cheese flavor blends sweet and savory. My friend wasn't totally sure if there was chocolate in her croissant's dough, though it was darker in color than mine. The chocolate taste came from the drizzle and filling. My ube latte was also not what I was expecting; I didn't read the menu closely enough, I saw "purple" and expected fruity. The dominant flavor was instead nutty with some overtones of coconut and marshmallow. Probably influenced by my substitution of oatmilk. The croissant and drink cost around $11. I didn't see any decaf options. MERCH: In addition to food and drink to have at the location, there are retail products such as shirts, bagged coffee beans, and a small collection of looseleaf teas (about 6 flavors). Being most interested in the teas myself, I inquired. Spur of the moment purchases are very small containers. For larger bulk, order on the website and you can pick up in-store if you don't want to deal with shipping. SEATING: Both indoor and outdoor seating available. Indoor tables well-distanced now while outdoor is more in-demand, but indoor capacity will be increasing as the pandemic passes away and the store purchases more post-rebrand tables and chairs. Current plan is to first double capacity, then add bench seating which will make triple what is in the space now. Note: indoor chairs are hard, tables small. I saw some padded seating outdoors. AMBIANCE: Even with no lights turned on and cloudy weather outside, Brewpoint Craft is a bright space. Currently seems bigger because of reduced indoor capacity, long term it is a small space. Very yellow. The mural currently being worked on, on the south wall, features a rayed sun and teal detailing of the faces of people of color. Friendly, well-trained cisgender (Pride rainbow masked) baristas of different ethnicities. Bathroom had some toilet paper clutter but when I told staff they apologized and said they'd clean right away. No good place super close by to lock up a bike, but accessible front entrance and wide aisles. OVERALL RECOMMENDATION: Support a local business owned by people of color and take advantage of the low capacity right now if you want lingering private conversation, which I like. Popularity is likely to grow and It's going to get loud in there soon. read more

I love all the options on their menu, especially their seasonal menu. But as it was my first time as a customer, I went with a rather safe bet, an iced chai tea latte. I was hoping it wasn't super sweet and creamy like Starbucks and other places. I order a large with light ice and skim milk and was pleasantly surprised! It tastes much more like chai tea itself and wasn't heavily saturated by the milk. It wasn't too sweet either. Brewpoint is my favorite coffee outside of Chicago and even then it's better than most (depending on your taste). I get their two week whole bean delivery. Their single origin are fantastic. I also had their barrel aged beans at home, which were phenomenal yet disappointing when I finished. They have West Town Bakery pasties and delicious lattes. Their ambience is chill and stylish yet unpretentious, especially the staff who have been nothing but warm whenever I'm in there. I do hope their recent growth is a sign of stability and not over extension because I want them to stay for a while. read more

I love Brewpoint! I moved from the city to oak park in the beginning of April, and was saddened by the fact that there wasn't an independently owned coffee shop within walking distance of my condo. Low and behold, brewpoint opened later that month! The coffee and espresso are fantastic, and they even do pup cups for my dogs! Very excited about the upcoming cocktail menu. Super friendly atmosphere with the nicest baristas! I got a hot rose matcha which was really nice to drink on a chilly morning. The inside is super cute and spacious; I spent 2 hours reading & doing work and there was plenty of seating. The music provided a nice mood and wasn't blasting like you sometimes hear at other coffee shops. They also have really cute merch including handmade earrings and clothing with the Brew Point logo. Nice location but the service could be better. MUCH better. I tried to purchase a clothing item and the price posted didn't match the register (it was nearly double). I told the cashier and he said that he didn't have to honor the posted price. I informed management a day later and that manager said "the owners won't do anything."
