I found Common Grounds Vibe in Downtown Lombard my new local gem! It is cozy & the owner Jeffrey is passionate & personable and makes exquisite coffees, teas, and smoothies. It is also a book store + they have board games you can play + painting and coloring (something for everyone). We need more connecting + creativity with our crews & less tech and this place is it. The Matcha was magnificent. The Chai was yummy and artisan. The Blueberry Pom Smoothie delish. He has alternate milks too & is very accommodating to make your drink one you will remember. I love to support small biz that are making big impacts & fostering community. You will love it for a solo trip, with kids, or friends.

The owner has great recommendations and is very friendly. It is a great environment to work or catch up with friends. Expect it to take awhile to get your drink once ordered because he takes time to make each drink special. But it is worth it!

Great coffee, friendly atmosphere, and creative energy! I really love this place - the owner is awesome, too. In addition to coffee, they sell books, art, and art supplies and its such a chill place to hang out. Definitely check it out :)

Also ordered a black iced coffee which was very refreshing and light. Seating is spacious inside and they also have outdoor seating as well. Service is very quick and the workers are very friendly. This location is right next to a LA Fitness Gym which is super convenient for a post work out snack!

The inside was quite large and mostly had people stopping in for pick up orders and smoothies. Their menu offers the same ingredients in burrito or bowl form as well as salad or wrap form. The menu clearly outlines the item's protein, fiber and caloric counts to also consider. While most items have a recommended protein, you can switch it out for another choice. My husband and I each got a Mexicali Burrito; his with chicken and mind with tofu. It was a good sized portion and ingredients were fresh & well mixed inside. I did get a huge kale steam in my burrito but fished it out. While I thought the flavors were good, it didn't leave me craving to come back. I did leave feeling full but not weighed down like most fast casual spots.

I had a margarita on happy hour menu and it was tasty. For my entree, I got the chicken enchiladas. They were presented very nicely and very flavorful. Since they are known for the caramel pie, I got a slice of that as well. Tasted like caramel candy with the texture similar to pumpkin pie. Service was friendly. I hear their brunch is also amazing as well.

I requested our group to be placed in a corner since we were dining in with 2 kids and an infant who would be sitting in a stroller. She had said they were fully booked and a different party needed the table I was eyeing since they would be coming in with 3 strollers. I was there from 9am-11am on a Friday and it was not packed nor did a family use the table I wanted while I was there. No one came in with 3 strollers either. Aside from that, I was trying to be helpful so the stroller wouldn't get in the way of customers and wait staff. The host basically made it harder for them, not me. I started with the hazelnut oat mocha and this was delicious. This was the highlight of my time there. For food I tried the Shakshouka and it was not good. The pouched eggs were not cooked. From my pictures - it looks like the eggs were cracked in the dish and the chef called it a day. I didn't chance eating it, I ate the pita it came with and left very hungry. I'm giving Beatrix a generous 2 due to the space being beautiful and my latte being great. Unfortunately this is not a spot I'll be returning to.
