I've been frequenting Brewpoint-Founders cafe for several years now, and I can confidently say it's my favorite coffee shop. The ambience is unmatched--cozy, welcoming, and full of charm. My husband and I used to live nearby, and some of our favorite memories are walking over on weekends with our pup, grabbing coffee, and sitting out front just enjoying the moment. I recently visited the Elmhurst Craft location for an event and had one of those experiences that just sticks with you. I was chatting with a barista about how much I love (and deeply miss!) the Equinox. She mentioned she was newer and hadn't tried it, but saw it in the recipe book and agreed it sounded amazing--which, for the record, it absolutely is (or was ). A little while later, she came running up to me asking if I was the one talking about the Equinox. When I said yes, she surprised me with an Equinox sticker she had dug up. Such a small, simple gesture--but it genuinely meant so much and made my entire night. To the Brewpoint leadership team: that moment alone earned my loyalty for life. Customer service like that is rare, and it deserves to be recognized. This was my first time to the Brewpoint Founders Cafe and was completely impressed! From their other location, I like that this one truly aligned as a coffee shop. They still had the same coffee menu, seasonal drinks, and baked good offering; but, felt a lot more like a neighborhood destination. I ended up ordering coffee for my work team and all were impressed by the flavors! I got a Black Americano, Hot Borealis Latte, and the Whipped Carrot Cake Latte for myself. The Carrot Cake Latte may be a new all time favorite of mine! It wasn't too sweet but just leaned into the flavor profile enough. My coworker who had the Hot Borealis said it may have been her favorite latte she's tried. I also got the Herbed Goat Cheese Croissant which is familiar yet unique with the pop of savoriness. A unique spot to enjoy a drink! This spot is large with plenty of parking, big enough for a group gathering with enough space to spread out comfortably or use their bench or table options inside. The interior is decorated in an interesting way, with chandeliers and more upscale looking lighting - with the look of a slightly upscale coffee shop at the counter. The drinks here are pretty solid, with some interesting seasonal options. Pricing is very reasonable on the drinks -- actually cheaper than most of the local restaurants nearby. The pricing on the pastries is a bit on the high side, but not outrageous. Attended a baby shower here yesterday in their back room and considering it for a party ourselves. We were able to bring our own food and then the hostess opened a table for coffee and alcoholic drinks- they serve both! Bae and I both ordered ube mocha lattes. I ordered mine iced and he ordered hot. Both were tasty although hot brought out the flavor more. A few things I liked besides the space in the back- staff super friendly. They also sell their own cold brew concentrate. Very clean and airy. Even on one of the coldest days so far this winter- there was tons of sunlight coming through. They have a nice presence on instagram- a combo of sharing their own story as well as recipes you can make with their cold brew. Will definitely be back to try food and more coffee drinks. I'm not a coffee person, but I like independent coffee shops and I like non-coffee drinks that shops often have. Brewpoint has been one of my favorites for many years; I first was introduced to them several years ago, pre-pandemic, when I would often visit Elmhurst Public Library because they have a kiosk called the Lexicon Cafe in the library. But this was my first time visiting the Park Avenue location (incidentally, about a block from the library). Actually, it was my first visit to Brewpoint since before the pandemic. I've been thinking about them for a couple weeks, wanting to pay a visit since I'm closer to them now in my new home and they often had some great specials. I'm not sure if today was just a bad day or if this is standard operating procedure. I used the walk-up window (which is what made me choose this location) and when I prepared to make my order, the employee told me that it would be about a 20 minute wait. 20 minutes, for coffee?? Maybe that's normal and I just don't know because I don't drink coffee?.... They were busy, but not so busy that it seemed unusual; coffee shops are often busy. I didn't seem to be the only one surprised by the length, and I don't know if it was because we were at the walk-up window and they prioritize indoor orders or if location or order (inside vs outside) made no difference. I love that they have a walk-up window at this cafe--in part because I'm COVID cautious, but moreso because I have a small child and getting her in and out of her carseat is a major pain when she now has the will and desire to not be strapped in. If I can find a spot right by the window (which I was lucky to do today), I can make my order at the walkup whilst leaving her in the car and still keeping her company since I'm standing outside the car. As annoying that it is that it took 20 MINUTES (and it did take 20 minutes, or maybe a few minutes longer) to get the drinks I ordered, they were fantastic drinks. Since I'm writing this on November 2, we're fully into autumn and their specials reflect that. I ordered their pumpkin spice latte and for myself picked up a pumpkin spice hot chocolate (which for some reason was a real tounge twister for me, but they understood!). The hot chocolate was unbelievably good. It may have been better than a regular hot chocolate, to be honest. I have to have another one, so I will be returning soon. But I may place my order as I leave the house (if they offer online ordering) so that it's ready by the time I get there. read more

Oh my goodness. I'm so sad I used to love this place. I just had to leave the store empty handed with no refund after waiting for over a half hour for a black ice coffee and a latte. I have no idea what was going on in there. Either hire more people or make things more efficient. I get that things get busy and people call in sick, but you have to warn people if it's going to take over 20 minutes to get 2 drinks. I probably would've gotten a specialty drink but didn't look over far enough on the menu. Service was friendly, and I'd say the drink came out in 10 minutes. This would be a nice place to work remotely, but it's a Saturday... so I took it to go. The foam was delicious, a nice light accompaniment to strong, dark coffee. They have their own blends and they're gooooood. Like drive-out-of-your-way good. The baristas are the artsy type - while friendly, they're not overly engaging. Don't hold that against them. They're going to make you a delicious drink! And they're busy! There's always someone occupying a table, if not all the tables full (Saturday mornings). And that's nice - there's always a buzz. I have to say this is my favorite coffee shop in the suburbs, it's spacious. Plenty of options. The price point is what you's expect for a coffee shop. Plus my boyfriend and I had our first date here so I may be a little biased, but it's quiet and cute. Not a Starbucks! I was in Elmhurst wanting some good coffee and remembered this location. I enjoyed their grand opening event and coffee, so I figured I'd come back. I was not disappointed, I ordered the Borealis (hot), which has a honey nut taste with oat milk. It tasted like fresh espresso and honey nut cheerio milk. It is by far one of my favorite latte style drinks from any coffee shop based on flavor alone. The barista was really friendly and super fast with the order. This location is really quiet and they play relaxing music. Because of this there were a lot of people there studying on their computer. If I lived closer, I'd for sure make this my go-to spot. It's $2.50 a cup. They have a few non dairy milks. Among these are almond and coconut. This also has some good treats. Among these are vegan cookies. It's about $2.50 for most baked items. Saw this place on TT and decided to check it out. It's right off the Metra stop which is a convenient location, but the area does get a little busy. There's free parking which is a plus. I tried the seasonal Cinnaberry latte iced - blueberry and vanilla syrup, cinnamon, oat milk. I really like blueberry lattes and this did not disappoint. If you like blueberry or fruity fun drinks then you will enjoy this. It was well balanced - not too sweet and the coffee was smooth. This is my new favorite coffee shop in Elmhurst! Any café that offers a Pride Month cupcake, with donations from the sale of the cupcakes going to the Howard Brown Health Center, gets 5 stars from me! Thank you for that!! Conveniently located steps from the Metra train line, and only about 2 blocks from beautiful Wilder Park, it's a great location! Parking was free! The shop is bright, clean, and spacious with indoor and outdoor seating. There is plenty of seating inside, but we took our drinks to go and explored the area, including nearby Elmhurst Art Museum, Glos Memorial Park, and the Elmhurst Conservatory. Coffee shops seem to be popping up everywhere, but it can be hard to distinguish one from another. Brewpoint is doing a nice job of separating from the pack. They have an extensive list of caffeinated drinks and they roast their own beans which you can take home to make on your own. You can even get gallons of their lattes or cans of cold brew to go. Wow. I ordered the Bartolome, a sweet concoction of honey, oatly milk, espresso, and cinnamon. I got it with half the normal sugar after discussing what the drink was like with the server. Glad I did because it was still sweet with half that amount! It's nice to order from a place that takes the time to listen to their customers, provide drops of knowledge, and offer a space to grow in this coffee adventure. read more

Amazing spot! Came here for our first time today and tried their "Lewis and Clark" and it tasted like a liquid cinnamon roll...it was sinful but incredible. Besides their very unique menu, the atmosphere is really what stood out to me. It's a huge open space with vaulted ceilings and lots of natural light. It's one long room, and at the end is more of a meeting/banquet room (either a bachelorette party or a wedding shower was happening there when we were here). Lots of space for anyone, no matter if you're looking for couches to relax on or tables to sit at and get some major work done. We'd be here an embarrassing amount of times if we lived here.
