We were drawn to this place as it was open a little later than the other coffee shops on Sunday and we wanted a place to hang with family before heading to the airport. Love the coziness and welcoming feel of Villa Perk. It is very clean and the coffee is gooood. I ordered an espresso over ice with a splash of half & half. It was the right amount of strong. My sister and mom enjoyed their gluten-free blueberry muffins and chips. Loved the unique touches of this coffee shop. They pay homage to the historic Ovaltine factory that used to anchor the area. So interesting! There is a special Ovaltine Crème item on the menu as well. I can pretty much hear the "rich, chocolate Ovaltine" from the commercials as I spotted that item. read more

I do not drink coffee, however my husband does (black no sugar or cream). We will try anywhere once. He said that their coffee was fine, but nothing that he would return for. He was also disappointed that he could not grab a breakfast sandwich or pastry to enjoy with his coffee. read more

Found references online to being dog friendly however we went in with Maggie our micro goldendoodle puppie and were asked to leave. She made a very soft whimper sound and we were told we were bothering the other customers and asked to leave. I thought villa perk we so cute and cozy. It has the perfect location off the prairie path, but they also have easy parking if you're driving! Service was sweet and fast, and my latte- fiery lavender- was delicious! So balanced and unique. I'm interested in a few more things on the menu, and my friend said the baked goods were tasty as well, so we'll definitely add this to our rotation of favorites. :) read more

Loved my visit to Villa Perk! After seeing such rave reviews on this spot, I wanted to stop in and see for myself. Their menu is simple but covers all bases for coffee, tea, frappuccinos, and more! They also offer a couple of bakery good. There was quite a bit of areas for seating to work while you enjoy, catch up with friends, or even enjoy some solo time. The staff working was so incredibly sweet to me with answering my questions, telling me their most popular items, and giving their recommendations. I ended up ordering an Iced Vanilla Lavender Latte which was made speedy and fresh. It had the perfect amount of ice to keep my drink cold but not water down my drink. Overall, I left feeling like this is such an intentional, neighborhood coffee gem. I will certainly be back to try other menu items but especially the banana bread latte when weather cools off! read more

I was a little bit nervous because the line was long when I went in this morning however, the staff behind the bar got through it so efficiently. I don't even think I will spend 10 minutes in the line and that is including, not only ordering my beverage, but also having my beverage in hand at the end of the bar, ready to go. I opted to get the banana bread latte with regular milk, although the menu says it comes with oat milk and I also purchased a ham and cheese croissant which looks divine the banana bread latte which I got ice is really good however, I think they could use a little bit more flavor or like a cold foam on top to really bring it over the edge. The interior of the coffee shop it is small, but there is plenty of seating so you can sit with a friend or sit at a table and do some studying or reading in a quiet environment. The cost of everything was around average for what you pay for around in the area so I would definitely go back again. It is next to the train track and the biking trail so there are a lot of people stopping in on their bike ride so I wouldn't be surprised if some hours are busier than others. My first review of 2025! I discovered this place through other Yelpers. Parking is street parking or public parking around corner. Service was super friendly from all staff that I encountered on my visit. The menu has nice large font. They have plenty of options from basic black to fancier lattes. I went with a cold brew and it was delicious. Drink was poured very quickly. Bathroom was spacious and clean. The only reason I didn't give a perfect review is that I found seating to be a little uncomfortable and cramped. However, I would recommend the coffee shop and would return if I'm in the area. read more

I have been here many times. Good vibe and all of the baristas are friendly. There is a consistent steaming milk issue that I see. Milk, especially alternative milks, are too hot with very little attention to foam. With that said, this place is worth the visit and is a gem for sure. read more

Stumbled upon Villa Perk Coffee on my friend's IG story and she said it was the cutest local place. Love finding out about new local shops and I knew I had to check it out for myself! It is located on a corner in downtown Villa Park, near the train tracks. There is street parking and a parking lot nearby. The coffee shop is clean and inviting. I ordered a white chocolate raspberry mocha latte and a croissant stuffed with herb goat cheese. Though there was only 1 employee at the time making and taking coffee orders, Brandon held down the fort in a professional manner. I didn't mind the wait as I wanted to sit and enjoy my first VP coffee. I sat in a little nook hidden behind a post, popped my air pods in and turned on my show. First sip of my coffee and my eyes lit up. IT WAS SO SO GOOD! The coffee was so smooth and perfectly balanced in sweetness from the raspberry. It was love in a cup! I immediately texted my sister about Villa Perk because she loves a good local coffee shop too. (Two days later we came back, she really liked the ice caramel macchiato) The flaky croissant made for the perfect afternoon treat! There are also a variety of treats like muffins, donuts, and cake pops to cure the sweet tooth too. I'm always searching for cute coffee shops, and I found one in Villa Perk. Located in the downtown area of Villa Park. There is a cozy little sitting area in the front of the shop with couches, and some more tables and chairs towards the back. The shop has an industrial but cozy feel to it. The menu offered a great variety, with seasonal drinks as well. I ordered an iced caramel macchiato, and it was so smooth and refreshing. The coffee taste was strong but not overly strong. My sister ordered a white chocolate raspberry latte. It was delicious! I also ordered the herb goat cheese danish. It felt more like a croissant to me, which I still love. It was a soft delicious treat to accompany my drink. The staff were friendly and delivered our drinks to us at the table instead of having us get from the designated pick up area. Perfect little coffee shop! First of all the coffee is wonderful! The owner (I think) gives you heat suggestions! I told him what I used to get at Starbucks and he gives you suggestions! It's always good! I get an Americano with cold foam or a latte. I love the ambiance. It just gives a very relaxed vibe! My husband and I are frequent customers of this coffee shop. I was super excited when Brandon opened it last year, as our town has a quaint city center but was noticeably missing a local coffee shop. What's convenient is its a quick walk from our place and located next to the trail. The ambiance is inviting and they always have cool seasonal drinks - their apple pie drink surpasses the Sbux version, and their banana latte is amazing as well. They also do a great job with the basics - espresso, cold brew and the like. They have a small selection of local pastries (pastries in general are not my thing , but I can vouch that the vegan chocolate muffin was very moist and delicious). The baristas are friendly and talented. Occasionally they have live music which is pretty cool, though I'm more of a grab and go person. I drove past this place and couldn't wait to go in - I love coffee, local shops, and Friends! The parking situation is not ideal-city type with all sorts of restrictions. The vibe was super chill and the baristas were nice and friendly. I felt like they knew me, but it was my first time in. This is the perfect neighborhood coffee spot! They have artisanal drinks galore. My favorite is the Ovaltine Latte - it's an ode to the big Ovaltine factory (now loft apartments) next door. A latte with homemade malt syrup and a double of actual Ovaltine on top. Delightful! They only have nibbles- cake pops, donuts and croissants so don't come looking for a full meal. They've always got people inside and there's always a little line. That's the sign of a great coffee place right? Patrons! All the people working as baristas are lovely! A coworker of mine posted a picture of Villa Perk Coffee on her social media and I knew I had to check it out. I was especially intrigued because I work in the area and had never hard of the coffee shop. I love discovering local coffee shops so I decided to stop by the next morning on my way to work. It is in downtown Villa Park, near the train tracks. The place is very clean and welcoming. It is definitely a spot where you can sit down for a few hours and get some work done. The workers were very friendly, making conversation and recommending drinks. I decided to go with a plain black coffee. It was a solid brew of coffee, much better than chain coffee shops. As I was entering the space, a man was delivering baked goods. It took so much self control not to order a few with my drink. I went back a few days later and ordered a vanilla latte made with oat milk. It was delicious! I always appreciate when the vanilla flavor is more natural verses the artificial kind. The latte was smooth and rich in coffee flavor as well. They also have some speciality drinks (Ovaltine latte I believe, as Ovaltine originated in Villa Park).
