Do you teach? Painting and drowing there?

Hi Raja, thank you for your interest! We teach painting for the most part, but could also teach drawing by request. We are a service that comes to you (e.g. you can host the paint party from the comfort of your home, office, or venue of choice), so… Read more

Here's a Yelp-style review you can use:…read more I took my mom to Sneakerhead University for Mother's Day, and as Chicago natives, we absolutely loved the experience. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the space was designed with Chicago pride in mind. The décor authentically represented the city, celebrating the culture, history, and landmarks that make Chicago special. It felt like a creative love letter to the city we call home. The experience is both fun and interactive, making it a great outing for family, friends, couples, or anyone looking to create something unique. Expect to spend around $50 minimum depending on what you decide to make. You can create a custom hoodie for about $50 or a crew neck sweatshirt for around $40. What makes the experience even better is the variety of stickers and design elements available. Many of them are inspired by iconic Chicago staples, including local sports teams, popular food items, the city's famous transportation system, and other recognizable symbols that truly capture the spirit of Chicago. One thing I appreciated was that the designs allowed you to personalize your item while still showcasing your connection to the city. It made the final product feel meaningful rather than just another souvenir. On a regular day, the entire shop is open, and guests can also create their own custom sneakers, which is something I definitely plan to come back and try. The staff was welcoming, the atmosphere was creative and energetic, and the overall experience was worth every dollar. I highly recommend Sneakerhead University to both locals and visitors looking for a unique Chicago experience. I'll definitely be returning to make more custom gear before the winter weather rolls around!

You get to browse through different hoodies and crew necks to choose your style, pick Chicago themed stickers that fit your style, and in about 5-10 minutes you have a new custom hoodie to take home! The ticket (which we had to pay for in advance) included a brunch buffet, painting station, and bottomless mimosas. The spread of food was disturbing. It was cold grits, cold eggs, sausage, hard waffles, and chicken strips. They had nothing keeping the food hot and clearly didnt have enough food for everyone. The food wasn't edible AT ALL. I was completely embarrassed that I invited ppl and had them pay IN ADVANCE for that! No one in my party was happy and we were forced to leave cuz we were so hungry. What's even WORSE is the way the team handled our dissatisfaction. I reached out after the fact to inquire about a refund and MANNY, the guy behind the event refused and instead tried to offer me discounted tickets to ANOTHER EVENT. My friend also left a comment about the situation on their instagram and they DELETED HER COMMENT. Then said "we reached out to her via dm" BAD BUSINESS. I will NEVER attend an event at Pearl or any other function thrown by premo. TERRIBLE LOOK.

What is great is that they give you a lot of painting choices to pick from and we got all of the supplies, materials, and travel fees included for $35 per person. Most people thought that the Living Social deal was misleading and made you believe that at least a glass of wine or cocktail would be included, not that you had to pay extra for all drinks (even soda). She announced that she was giving away two "gift certificates" but they ended up being coupons for 50% of of another Wine and Canvas class. She also announced that there was an "open bar" when she meant that the bar was serving drinks. Diane introduced a man and woman as the husband and wife who owned Bolat, but then the "wife" later told us that she was just an employee and not the owner. Our local teacher also told us that blue was not a primary color. It didn't help that the venue, Bolat, was equally sketchy. My friend and I saw a girl asking to have a bottle of wine opened and realized that we could BYOB with a $4 corkage fee. We asked just to make sure, and after receiving a "well, yes we do, but we don't encourage it. We would rather you purchase drinks at the bar.", my girlfriend ran out to get a bottle of wine. The drinks at Bolat were extremely expensive, considering it was a ma and pa joint. $8 for a red strip, $10 for wine and $12 for a cocktail. Those are Old Town Social prices. The "special" menu Bolat offered us was compiled of the most expensive things on their regular menu. On top of that, when my friend came back with the wine and asked for it to be uncorked, they told her it was really $4 per person, per glass. I went up and asked them to clarify, as they earlier told us $4, and they then said it was $4 per person. I asked why the other people who had BYOB told me it was only a $4 corkage fee, and the servers answer was that the owner had just called and told them it was $4 per person, per bottle. It must be nice to have a psychic owner who knew that everybody was BYOBing and not purchasing their over-priced drinks. The bartender/owner also said that she would have to go ask the other girls to pay the extra $4. She never did. Now, I don't see the point in doing another one of these events or dining at Bolat, given that neither group seemed to care much about the customer experience, but more about the money involved.
