First, I want to say thank you to TopAct for helping me get 3 additional tickets so I could bring my friends along, I reached out to Oliver after seeing the event was sold out, and he was able to open the ticket sale back up for me so I could grab the additional tickets!! We were absolutely ecstatic!! The planning process is very well put together! We got our character sheets over a week in advance, which made it easy to start planning our outfits and get in character. Along with the character sheet was an overview of the murder as well as a list of suspects. I was very impressed by the detail that TopAct went into for the characters and event! You don't just get a name with a few clues, you get a whole page of information about your character that really helps you give the character depth, and you don't have to create a whole backstory yourself. Walking into the event, I was immediately impressed! The Martini Room was a great venue, and the decorations they placed (along with the dead body) really helped it feel 'on theme'. I could go on about how fun the event was, but I'll keep it relatively brief. The planning was fantastic, the TopAct reps guided us all through the evening and ensured we were mingling, talking, and looking for clues. I played one of the suspects, and it was probably the most fun to be one so if you have the chance, I recommend it :) They wrapped up the evening very well, and the murder was not incredibly easy to solve - which was great! It made you think, and not everyone was able to get the right answer in the end so it wasn't something you could solve in 10 minutes. Overall, a massive 5 stars to TopAct - I highly recommend!!!

We were given instructions/character sketches prior to the event so that we were ready to assume our characters as soon as we arrived. Most of the guests had wonderful 1920's attire on and were really involved in interacting with one another. The more people played their part, the more fun it became. The storyline was interesting to follow (and be a part of) as we worked to solve the mystery. Would definitely recommend for a fun night out as a date or with a group of friends.

It's not just his talent with super fun and surprising balloon characters but his adaptive nature and outstanding personality, engaging everyone at the parties/events. He is one less thing at your party you need to worry about because he is a sure thing! Truly, he is a whole family favorite!!

It's through him that I heard of the Central Street Busker Festival that took place the next day and his line was loooong! Most recently, we went to his show last week that the Mt. Prospect Public Library held for spring break. That was very very well attended, with a long line of folks waiting to get in (and that's with all of us registered to attend!), but the show was a lot of fun. He did a little magic, a little comedy, and some fun balloon tricks. This guy has been doing this all his adult life--unless that's also a joke and part of his act--but regardless, he's great at his job. I'm looking forward to seeing him again and my little one having the chance to pick her balloon creation on her own.

The most recent was yesterday, where we had additional guests confirm last minute for a party and needed a tent for outside to accommodate additional people. I called the same day and they were able to perform a miracle and come setup a 10x20 tent for us. This is not something they regularly do, but they were able to make it happen and we were extremely grateful. They came by to pick it up this morning. So easy and a nice setup. I highly recommend.

I put in my name, the event date, as well as where I lived, I recieved a 4 word reply (addressed to some other name). When I replied, It was never responded to. I called the company and asked about the quote they gave me, not only did they tell me it was not available, (when I asked why they wouldn't tell me that in the e-mail there was not response) the person on the phone talked OVER ME, with attitude. Would not reccomend. Guess somebody else will take care of our company outings.

Tony was an absolute dream to work with from the minute I inquired about pricing. He responded…read morealmost immediately with package prices, and answer any odd questions I had at the start of wedding planning. The booking process was simple and all done via computer. Once we made our first deposit, Tony sent us login info for our online client data base, which we were able to make our "must play, maybe play, and absolutely do not play" playlists. I LOVED that we were able to organize the music in this way, as I was much more at ease for what the evening would look like. For the entire year of our engagement, Tony responded to all emails within an instant. For my father-daughter dance, I had arranged it with my dad that he was to choose a song, and it would be a surprise to me up until the minute it played at our reception. Tony and my dad corresponded back and forth without me knowing, and this was pulled off without any issues! The day of our reception, which was the first time I was even meeting Tony, he put me at immediate ease. He came up to my fiance and I, introduced himself, and quickly ran through how the evening would go. I was worried about the amount of talking via DJ would be taking place (I HATE going to weddings and the DJ acts more like an emcee the entire night, rather than a DJ) but Tony was PERFECT. He checked in with us throughout the night and everything went as planned. Another thing I loved about this company was the way in which songs transitioned into each other. There was not a second where one song would end and silence took place. Each song went straight into the next. Our dance floor was full ALL NIGHT LONG! We also used Extreme Sounds for our reception uplighting. I had been emailing with Tony up until days before our wedding trying to nail down the color I was going for. I sent Tony two pictures of what I was going for, he said he would make it happen, and it was the exact amber color I was envisioning!

You ignored me over 2 weeks and we had a professional relationship. You also gave me 3 Wedding Venues that you said you are "preferred vendor" for, without me asking. I checked all 3 of them and you clearly lied to me. Also, Tony, you response to my review says "some of our reviews tells you that our customers were referred by their venues". This is factually incorrect of your Yelp reviews. I checked all 80 of them. None do. Another lie here.

Could not have nicer things to say about working with My Chef and Jamie Walsh for our wedding day…read morecatering. We met Jamie at our venue's vendor expo and were immediately impressed by their services, pricing, and vast food offerings. It was a no brainer to book with their group! We had our tasting a couple months before our wedding day; which is complimentary to the couple and a $50 charge for any additional guest to join. They have you select 8-10 appetizers, 2 salads, and 4 entrees to taste at their Naperville location. They also have displays of china, silverware, glasses and more to help couples select what aligns aesthetically for their special day. Jamie worked with us to make small modifications to their standard offerings to make the food exactly what we wanted! Our wedding day came and we were floored by the quality/presentation of food, level of detail in place settings, and service from all staff members. We had multiple guests say that this was some of the best wedding food they've had, steaks were not over cooked, and food tasted fresh. Jamie also let us add desserts a week out to reallocate money from a couple of guests who last minute were unable to attend. Their team was even nice enough to service items not purchased through their group: disposables for the late night snack, display and refilling of cupcakes, etc. Overall, their group went above and beyond for us under Jamie's leadership. Our tables looked great, our food was wonderful, and their team was fabulous. We truly appreciate all they've done for us and could not recommend them more! On the evening of the event, I didn't do a thing. Stacey never stopped moving, never missed a thing, and when it did occur to me to check on things, Stacey beat me to it by showing up with an update. What sets Stacey apart from the myriad event planners on the north shore is her range, adaptability and accessibility. She can do a lovely, refined bridal shower at the country club just as meticulously as a loud, techno party in a loft space. She never makes you feel like you need to spend more or do more than you'd planned. She doesn't push ideas.
