Lo and behold, I saw a Facebook event at Hamburger Mary's hosted by Studio 928 and knew I found my perfect match! The events are themed like no other I have ever seen: Prince, Whitney, Michael Jackson,etc. and I had to try it! Now yes, I am an artistic person : I took 4 years of art in high school and 1 in college. But that was a LONG time ago. And my strong areas were abstract, layout, airbrushing,etc NOT people,(and I really didn't do a lot of work with acrylic paint) so I knew it would be a challenge for me in that sense. But I wasn't going to be perfect, I was going for fun and a new experience. And that is exactly what I got! Cheryl is a blast! She has a fun personality and is SO knowledgeable , patient and helpful You are not going in just to paint, you are going in to learn. She shows you how to mix colours, how to do shading, how to work with the paints,etc. and is always going to each person helping them out, giving suggestions,etc And in between instructions, she's telling jokes, asking trivia questions and giving away prizes. She completely set the bar for me for paint parties and not only am I glad that my first experience with one was with her, I don't even want to go to any others! If you think that you cannot paint or are not artistic, you will completely surprise yourself with what you can do. Cheryl has a way of bringing out the artist in everyone! I had so much fun at my first party that as soon as I got home, I set up an event set up for the gym that I go. We had it today and everyone had a blast! even though my painting came out a bit rough... but my intimate group of 7 ladies had a great time…read moreoverall bonding n such at our in-office event. my coordinator, Ashlee, was sooo patient and great with communication as we had to keep adjusting our dates. it was a pleasure getting to know our instructor, Sarah M., she was smart, patient, and knowledgeable and became one with the group. all the materials were compact and could be brought upstairs in one large bag, in one trip. I only wish hey provided a plastic sleeve /container of some sort for ppl to take their paintings to go. wouldd definitely use them again.

Vanja and Malik both clicked with our party almost immediately, it was like having new friends hanging out with us. Except one of them was an extremely attractive guy posing nude :D Don't worry if you're bad at art-- the whole thing is super easy to enjoy no matter your skill level. This fully satisfied the 'silly, a little raunchy, but still classy' vibe I was going for at a reasonable price per person. They were very responsive via email with any questions too!
