Nathalie and Urii gave a us brief history of glass mosaics and were so helpful while we created our pieces. They are experts with over 25 years of education, teaching, and passing it on to everyone. They really enjoy what they do as they are patient, provide encouragement and help you even if you're not art inclined! They had a vast array of glass tiles in every color under the rainbow imaginable! It was so much fun and gave us all a whole new appreciation of mosaic artisanry! It was Definitely a great experience and a fun instructor. Then I did the Paint and Sip. I am always a little loopy so I just stuck to water, the affect was the same lol! I had a blast. I also took the culinary knife class. I learned that all I was doing as far and handling and cutting in the kitchen was not the best or correct way as well as I have waaaay to many knives for too many different things. I learned of the few knives I need in a kitchen which I guess the rest of them I will make some kind of sculpture with?...maybe call it..."The knives That Couldn't"? Anyways awesome time with that class and learned quite a few other trick and such as well and great instructor. I will be there to take more classes for sure:)

They have so many gorgeous options I always circle the shop at least twice to make sure I haven't missed anything. They also have a special wall for African print designs - I've never seen that in a quilt shop before. They're fabulous about keeping their inventory fresh, so there is always a new tool for me to covet when I walk in. This store is like a goody bag for adults. The owner is almost always there, she knows so many shoppers' names. Whenever I buy fabric there she tells me to come back with pictures of my finished product and she oohs and ahhs over it - she's so sweet. You can tell everyone that works there loves sewing. It feels like you're talking to friends who just happen to work there and love crafting like I do. I'm going to end with the superficial lol. It is so cute inside! It's on the smaller side but feels huge the way they have it designed. The lighting is great; there's hardwood floors; it feels very upscale. I especialy love the sewing machine section because they are placed on Koala sewing tables. That is my dream sewing table. And something so expensive needs to be tested in person first. I used to have to drive far out of Chicago to a suburb to find a sewing store this fantastic. It's a neighborhood gem and I'm so thankful it's here.

even though my painting came out a bit rough... but my intimate group of 7 ladies had a great time…read moreoverall bonding n such at our in-office event. my coordinator, Ashlee, was sooo patient and great with communication as we had to keep adjusting our dates. it was a pleasure getting to know our instructor, Sarah M., she was smart, patient, and knowledgeable and became one with the group. all the materials were compact and could be brought upstairs in one large bag, in one trip. I only wish hey provided a plastic sleeve /container of some sort for ppl to take their paintings to go. wouldd definitely use them again.
