I always order drip coffee and today was no different except I had a wait a couple of minutes for light roast which was fine. The coffee is tasty but not the best that I've ever had. I didn't like that I had to move the medium sized bathroom garbage can to shut the door as they were using it as a stopper. But the bathroom is gender neutral and very clean. Quiet and clearly friendly environment. Street metered parking but not expensive. I worked return here because of the seating and historic window vibe. The one in downtown oak Park is kinda tucked away but the outside tables in nice weather is a vibe.

We started the process by going to their local headquarters and sampling the different styles. Sam and Kelly were very knowledgeable about all the products and made great recommendations. They provided us with a deluxe coffee bean grinder, a two-station coffee maker, and a two-station espresso machine. We have been open for almost a year now and we have never had any problems with their equipment or coffee products. They do have an emergency technician on call to stop by immediately if we ever have any issues. Lastly and most importantly, our customers absolutely love their coffee and it's one of the reasons why we've been able to be so successful in such a competitive market. Coffee is everything in our business and we made sure we picked the best around. It's always a pleasure dealing with Sam and Kelly from Philosophy Coffee. They often stop by our restaurant just to say hello and check on things. They don't just sell you a product and disappear, they are always proactive and really do things right away.

This is a very tiny coffee shop and for those of you not terribly familiar with Hinsdale (myself amongst them) the place looks like it's in an alley but it's not; you're turning down the right street. There are a few parking spots down here so that makes it convenient. The shop has a good drink menu and also has donuts/muffins/sandwiches. I had a breakfast panini and I liked it. I wasn't sure what I'd think since I am always a bit on the fence about avocado, but wanted to try it without modifications. I liked the black beans on it more than I expected to. Overall it's an ok spot but the drinks are better than the food options. The owner has a great handle on her regulars; she was greeting folks as they came in and remembered the coffee order of a woman who hasn't been in for a while because she remarked on how surprised she was that she remembered her usual. There's no seating in the cafe, it's strictly a grab-and-go place. But they have an app of their own that you can use to order, and based upon what the owner was telling a customer, it generally works better than using the Toast app.

And guess what? I had no cake on my wedding day. She completely forgot about my order. She later admitted that she had written down the wrong date in her calendar, even though the contract clearly stated the exact date of my wedding. This was one of the most important and special days of my life, and being left without the wedding cake I had planned and paid for was extremely disappointing and upsetting. To make matters worse, she did not refund my money right away. Instead, she tried to offer to deliver the cake to my house the day after my wedding and reception, and I would have had to pay the full amount. That was obviously not an acceptable solution. I eventually had to request a refund through my card. The way this situation was handled was completely irresponsible and unprofessional. I would not recommend this establishment or this cake service to anyone, especially for an important event where you need someone you can trust to follow through on their commitment.
