    latte art!

cute coffee shop, great coffee, the CUTEST espresso art, yummy pastries, and super friendly baristas. what's not to love?

We came here on the recommendation of a friend who's a regular. In short -- the coffee is really excellent. No complaints. But like most coffee shops, this one could use more seating. When we arrived, it was empty, so we managed to grab a table, but within 5 minutes the place was so full that people had to just grab their coffee and leave. Overall, though, the vibe is great!

Happy new year and first review of 2025! I'm not sure if I've ever been to a coffee shop with friendly or people at it. The man who took my order (perhaps the owner? Not sure, but he was giving me that vibe) was super was incredibly friendly and personable. The chai I ordered was great, and my little one loved the pan de bono I picked for her. I had a churro donut and it was pretty good--if I got it again I might eat it right away because they warmed it up and it would be especially tasty. The shop is small but immaculately clean, and very sophisticated. There's indoor and outdoor seating (the latter in the warmer months, of course). They roast their own coffee here. They seem to be dog friendly, as a couple came in with their dogs and the owner said that they were out of treats that day. Parking was a cinch, which I wasn't expecting at all. And as of December 2024 the street parking was free, so you don't have a reason not to come.

Pros - free street parking, wifi, friendly staff I walked in an was greeted by friendly staff. They have Colombian pastries but sadly when I visited they were running low on options. I tried the churro donut which was served warm and has a soft caramel filling. I also ordered a lavender latte and I was so pleasantly surprised by the adorable latte art! I wish they had more substantial food items on the menu but it is mostly just pastries. The staff were lovely and I'd definitely go back to try other menu items.

I recently started grinding coffee beans at home and trying my hand at pour over after getting tired of my Keurig. I wanted to try some local spots and searched around, finding Magnifico. I ordered a couple of bags online and waited for them to arrive. What I didn't expect was for them to arrive with a very nice handwritten note complete with a piece of chocolate taped to it and a card for a free coffee when I can stop in their physical store. It was a very nice addition and I appreciated the time taken. The coffee I ordered was also phenomenal and I highly recommend it

Love love love. Very friendly, family-feel vibes yet the machines, lattes and drinks are all very cool if you know what I mean. Presentation - pictures say all. Taste wise - nutty, balanced and strong. The pastries are great, too. We really enjoy the chewy and not overly sweet guava bun and beef empanada.

Spinach mushroom buddy croissant and a medium drip. Both fantastic!

Super friendly coffee shop with lots of sunny seating, delicious coffee (roasted in house!) and pastries. The owner's dad was playing chess at a table with anyone willing and there was a DJ spinning coffee shop mood tunes. Even the other patrons seemed extra friendly lol. A great addition to the neighborhood.

What a beautiful modern and sleek cafe! The baristas are incredibly friendly and there was great vibes all around. I got a cappuccino and there is a very talented artist making my drink because the latte art was so detailed. The coffee was balanced and did not need extra flavorings imo. The salted Caramel latte had a nuanced flavor which to me was perfect though my husband said he would've preferred a stronger flavor profile. We liked the ham and cheese croissant but would skip the beef empanada (crust needs more structure to hold the filling). I'd definitely come back for the delicious cappuccino and the warm and inviting atmosphere.

Family-owned coffee shop + roastery with the sweetest owners!! There aren't a ton of seats for working, but there are a couple tables and counter seats available. I got an espresso tonic which was good and refreshing-- loved the hints of grapefruit flavor. The pastries were also tasty! I hope to come back one day to get a bag of beans.

Prior to reaching our lunch destination, I wanted to get some coffee and a snack in the area. My wife checked her food/restaurant map and mentioned Magnifico as a place she wanted to check out again (she had previously gone about a year ago and really liked it). When I stepped into the cafe, the first thing that I noticed and loved was the decor and color scheme of the place. The place felt warm and inviting, which was really solidified by the friendliness of the staff and our interactions with them. They greeted us when we entered, helped us with recs, bade us farewell when we left, and in general seemed happy to be there and engage in conversation if that's what you want. My wife's first experience here was very similar to this so I'm very glad they're consistent! Being that it was a blistering hot day, I opted to try something cold. They had a sign that mentioned an iced espresso tonic and so I decided to give that a try, pairing it with their churro donut filled with arequipe (I had to look this up - it's a sweet sauce made with sugar and milk that's very popular in Latin America). The donut was excellent and incredibly fluffy without being overly sweet as donuts tend to be. I was very tempted to order another! The iced espresso tonic was also a big hit - perfect for a hot day with a smooth taste profile and elements of citrus. If only I lived closer, I would stop by this place all the time!

A great spot, locally and family owned. Great coffee but even better breakfast pastries. I ate here every morning during an extended weekend in Chicago and did not have a bad item (ham and cheese croissant was my favorite, perfectly flaky). Staff was incredibly kind and helpful!

The service is always friendly, and the coffee is always great. Nice place to enjoy your coffee either inside or outside.

There is street parking but no seating except for a small bench outside. It was hot outside so I wanted a cold drink, so I went with their Chocolate and Pistachio Iced Coffee. Unfortunately, this wasn't it for me. I couldn't even taste the chocolate and pistachio...it was like garnish on the cup more than anything. I tasted the espresso shots briefly but it was all milk afterwards. Since I got there in the afternoon, I decided on their Breakfast Sandwich for a late lunch. This one hit the spot for me! Bacon, soft scrambled eggs, caramelized onions and sriracha...delicious! For my pastry, I chose the Guava Cheese Bread. It's like a bigger and denser version of pao de queijo. Really liked how the tartness of the guava jam complimented the savoriness of the bread. A little bummed the drink wasn't a home run for me because that's mostly the reason I came but I'll give it another chance! Also, it's a dog friendly place so that's always a plus for me!
