Had an amazing strawberry Matcha here. It was a little pricey, but the Matcha was great.

Rlly cute spot, would be good to work from! Very aesthetically pleasing! The workers were very sweet and my drink came out very quick. Sadly they were out of all their specialty drink options. I got an iced vanilla latte. This was fine, nothing crazy. Wouldn't go out of my way to get it again.

Cute little coffee shop with outdoor seating, WiFi, and very friendly staff. I got the iced blueberry matcha with oat milk, very tasty & a veggie burrito which was delicious and hot. My only surprise was the prices! For those two items, my total was $26. It was good, but I don't know if it was worth that much. Also, there were flies inside of their pastry case that they could've easily gotten rid of if they had noticed them, but I could see a lot of customers debate about getting a pastry and change their mind because they probably noticed the flies. I'd return if I were in the area and had $30 to spare on coffee and a premade burrito.

Iced Pumpkin Latte with oat milk and Toasted Marshmallow Matcha with oat milk

From the moment you walk in the place is cute and cozy, the staff is welcoming and there was live music on a Thursday during the middle of the day. Their fall menu has great options, we got an Iced Pumpkin Latte with oat milk and the Toasted Marshmallow Matcha with oat milk, but were really great quality and presentation was great. Drinks are on the pricey side, we paid $22 and some change for just the two drinks. Worth it though to try at least once

Thrd has cultivated a cute image with their simple but beautiful interior and their ceramic mugs and plates. I can tell they derive inspiration from many other popular shops nationwide, and I appreciate the vision. However, the actual experience of visiting Thrd falls short of its portrayed vision. While my chai latte and tiramisu brownie were excellent, my cappuccino was disappointingly lukewarm. Most disappointing though is the number of people who come to this location to attend virtual classes and meetings, so it's a very annoying mix of customers talking into their computers. While I understand some people enjoy working from coffee shops, there should be policy against open calls. Personally, I prefer coffee shops with a more relaxing, quiet, less We Work- like environment.

I've visited a handful of times now and am never disappointed. I've only ever had their matcha (sometimes regular, sometimes fun seasonal flavoring) to drink, but it's always tasty. They serve yummy pastries too! I've never had an issue finding a place to sit and the staff is always friendly. Love supporting this local business!

The staff is super friendly and the coffee is excellent! They have pastries too and a lot of tables and a decent amount of bar seating

A great place to grab your pre-606 coffee. The interior is cute and pink, but the back tends to be crowded. Work here at your own risk! -AD

Oreo latte + vanilla matcha latte

Such a cute coffee shop! I ordered my drinks to go so I haven't spent much time inside. The cafe looks very spacious with tables in the back and lots of counter space. Their menu is pretty self explanatory. They have their specialty drinks listed near check-out. I got the oreo latte for myself and a vanilla matcha latte for my friend. Both were just ok. My oreo latte just tasted like I was drinking chocolate milk with oreo bits. My friend said her matcha was super milky too and lacking flavor.

A nice spot for coffee, pastries, and working. I tried an iced latte and it was delicious, not too strong and very flavorful without any sweetener or syrup. They have decent variety in terms of pastries. We went with a chocolate croissant and that was well received by our taste buds. A good amount of seating, particularly in the back for some quiet work. The staffer at the counter was kind, patient, and crafted an amazing latte. Definitely coming back to try other options.

Enjoyed a wonderful cup of drip coffee during my dog walk. I always miss this coffee shop being open. For whatever reason, I typically do this walk on Monday and they are closed on Mondays. I was happy that they were open and I could grab a hot cup of Joe while walking my dog. The drip coffee rotates and on this occasion it was a lightly roasted. I enjoyed my coffee and the temperature was just right. The cafe is so cute and bright. They offer plenty of seating inside and outside. This cafe is conveniently located off the 606. Glad to have this dog friendly cafe right off the 606. My dog enjoyed the fresh water and doggie treat

I have been on a coffee shop kick and have been trying a lot of local places in the area. I really wanted to like this place but it fell kind of flat compared to some of the other places. First off, the barista taking our order was not nice at all...come on we're in Chicago not New York! Where's the Midwest charm? Second, the fact that they charge you a whole dollar extra to switch from whole to skim milk seems excessive, especially when whole milk costs more and the barista didn't even tell us. The upcharge is also not listed on the menu. We didn't have a good experience here which was a shame since it looks like such a great place. Our vanilla lattes were fine but the vibes were off.

The baristas are very friendly. The space is bright and cute and good for pictures. Latte and espresso tonic drinks are good but nothing special though.

Cute space but the coffee tasted burnt and there was no attempt for latte art which for the price of the latte, it just isn't worth it.

My new favorite coffee shop... ever?? It was so good I managed to fit it in TWICE in a short trip…read more And have NOT shut up about it since I came back!! Military latte ($7.25)-- matcha and espresso mixed together with milk I don't know what sorcery they put in this but it's SO GOOD!! like matcha and espresso had a baby idk but they kept all the good parts of each other and balance each other out. For example, the matchy isn't earthy or chalky like some places or fake like the Starbucks one. The espresso isn't sour or burnt. And somehow when you combine both of them it's this perfect mellow blend but has the slight bitterness of both matcha/espresso where you're like "ah yes it's not just milk" that flavor really pulls through. But again it's mellow and blends together sooooo well like perfect mesh my goodness. Doesn't overpower doesn't feel like you're drinking matcha and coffee at the same time. It just becomes like a new thing altogether and that thing is glorious. The first time I got it iced (and the black camo latte hot) and all I could think about was how much better it would be hot.... So I had to come back for it !! And it ISSSS better hot. I enjoy hot lattes the hot milk and lack of ice is smoother and blends it together better or something. Obviously the iced version wasn't bad because I still had a great time... but when I came back for the second time and got it hot like YESSS THIS IS IT !!! Black camo latte ($7.25)-- same as Military but instead of matcha it's hojicha mixed with espresso! I took sips of this (as opposed to it being my own drink) and thought it was good! Really depends on if you like the taste of matcha or hojicha more. This one is deeper and richer, more earthy. Maybe even caramelized roast kinda flavor? Buuuut I know hojicha isn't for everyone so take it with a grain of salt. The combo with espresso is magical though like whatever ratio they're using is so perfect. It really blends together so well. ANDDDD here the coffee:milk ratio is so good!! No milky watered down lattes! I'm so used to having to add espresso shots or asking for less milk because coffee shops really be wildin in this economy but this place has a good ratio! Like yes wow we still have good things I love this for us. Matcha lemonade ($7)-- So absurdly sour I took one sip and that was enough for me!!! You really have to be a lemonade person like if that's your drink of choice to quench your thirst on a hot day then this is for you!! If you don't drink lemonade on the regular then I really wouldn't bother. I think this is a collab with a charity or something? Up your vitamin C for a good cause I guess. Cortado ($4.50)-- Espresso and milk, small cup, good test of their espresso and yesssss it passes with flying colors. And again, this place has their milk ratio down to a science. Perfectly balanced, not too much milk and you still taste all the coffee. Love love loveeeeee this place and would absolutely love an LA location. Until then, guess I'll have to plan another Chicago trip to get this goodness again !!!

I think Sawada is a little more overhyped than I would've liked…read more The Military Latte was pretty good, and I really appreciated that they offered macadamia milk! That said, the matcha itself wasn't necessarily the best matcha I've ever had. I think there was just too much milk in the drink, so I couldn't really enjoy the matcha and hojicha notes. It was enjoyable, but not memorable enough to justify all the hype - or the price. I really liked the ambiance, and the baristas were genuinely kind. They were also very willing to adjust or remake a drink when needed, which I appreciated. Overall, it's a cute spot with great service, but I genuinely cannot accept the price-to-drink ratio. I'm glad I tried it, but I don't think it lived up to the hype.
