My husband and I have been fans of Ipsento ever since it was in its original location. We visited bucktown this weekend and were thrilled to get to enjoy Ipsento 3xs. The Ipsento latte is incredible. We also tried the raspberry matcha latte which had a nice, subtle flavor, and the spinach feta quiche which was delicious and had a flakey, buttery crust. read more

This is a local cafe, with a pleasant and quiet setting. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual and people as well as the music are not real loud--so you can work very well there without a lot of distractions. The latte I had was excellent--think & rich with a great aroma. Mike took care of my order (& might be the owner) and was quite helpful in clarifying some questions I had. Will be back. I used to be a devotee of their Thursday trivia, but they cancelled it for the winter with no notice. The whole thing just seems weird. It's supposed to be a bar and a coffee shop, but now the bar part is almost closing for winter? I don't get it. Plz bring back trivia! read more

The ipsento latte definitely lived up to the hype! The coconut had a nice amount of richness and the cayenne was a good kick without being too overpowering. The interior was also spacious with a good amount of seating. The service was a little slow, I think they only had 2-3 baristas working and it was taking a while for them to take orders, but the main reason it's not 5 stars is the pricing is a bit expensive for me, almost $10 for an 8oz with oat milk after tax and tip. However, my friend loved her cappuccino and thought it was 100% worth it, so this is definitely just my opinion. read more

Got a seasonal lemon espresso tonic for an afternoon pick me up & refresher. Very nice. Glad we came! Service was friendly and helped us as first timers. Seems like a cool spot to post up and work or read or meet somebody. Also I guess they're open late and have other drinks as well? Good spot. Love that it's right off of the trail too. Nice to grab a drink and walk. Definitely curious to try their Nutella latte or something different in the future. read more

Came here for a quick coffee before a long 606 walk and got a dirty chai latte, it was very good! No dogs allowed but my partner waited outside. Also grabbed a discounted muffin (was a day old or something). And they also have premade sandwiches as well. We got a turkey sandwich and it was surprisingly good (I have low expectations for premade sandwiches lol). read more

Absolutely love the spot and the coffee and food. Perfect for walking from 606 and even sitting outside if its nice outside. My only complaint is the music. Its completely horrible and LOUD on the speakers. Have been multiple times and it was equally as bad both times. Couldn't hold a conversation without getting distracted from the loud techno nyan cat like music. So loud i could hear it through my headphones too, which is weird because it seems like a lot of people do work there or go to meet up with others. read more

Great setting, tight on space, baristas are super friendly. Get there early on trivia nights.

Was in the neighborhood and decided to stop by. Inside is cute with lots of seating. Parking is always tricky in this area. Ordered the pistachio matcha latte and it was just ok. Not sweet at all so I just added sugar when I got home. Pistachio flavor was non-existent. But overall not bad. Maybe I'll try their coffee or lattes next time! read more

First time trying ipsento - staff are so nice and great at recommendations. They don't have the cardamom rose latte right now, so I got the ipsento latte with oat milk iced instead and it was perfectly not sweet with the right kick of caffeine I needed the morning. The interior is really aesthetic and they have a decent amount of seating and outlets for work/study. Clean bathroom and spaces all around. They also have trivia night on Thursdays! read more

A be try popular coffee place in the area. I stopped in for a few hours and ordered the Oat Draft Latte. It wasn't bad, but would probably go with something else next time. All of the tables were taken, so there were only spots at the bar left. The high sears were an extremely comfortable, but there weren't any outlets. read more

If you like really good coffee and baristas with the personality of a wet mop, then this is your coffee shop. As soon as you walk in, you'll be greeted with a groan of disgust by every employee that you've inconvenienced with your existence. If you dare order a coffee the cashier will roll their eyes with each word you utter. (I asked how many shots of espresso come in a large latte. The response I got was "uuuh idk like 2.. sometimes 3?) Sometimes your coffee will take 2 minutes, sometimes 20 when there's not a single other person in the store. However - it's delicious every time. read more

It's been a long time between visits to Ipsento, and I was excited to try them again as Ipsento 606. Famed for their mini donuts, and they were very good. Lots of other food and drink options beyond just coffee, which is stellar. A good selection of whole bean coffee. Three different kinds of Topo Chico sold here, which is great for hydrating during and after caffeine. The ambiance is nice; the place was full with people meeting and others working. Was wanting to try Ipsento before the farmers market from a friends recommendation and sure glad we did. Greeted by the very friendly staff and had our order ready within minutes. I ordered an iced coffee since there is no cold brew but believe me it still delivers a full body cold brew taste. And don't worry the ice doesn't dilute it either. They also have a day old section which I picked up for work this morning and that cinnamon scone hits. Every light and airy bite had a cinnamon punch. Still waiting to take down the almond croissant but there are also many fresh ready to make options and refrigerated sandwiches too! If you are in the area I'd recommend giving Ipsento a try! read more

This place is cute, great coffee, good sandwiches (although you have to get here early to get one on the weekends). Overall delicious place. The place is cute on the inside with lots of seating however my coffee was not great. I got the pumpkin latte and the flavor was non existent. Was all milk and tasted so weak. Also the line went pretty quickly to order but then I had to wait 25 minutes for my coffee even though there were only a few people in front of me. read more

Love the space here - comfy bench seating, high tables and a bar overlooking the 606, it's definitely a peaceful place to come and sit and observe. I loved the ambient music as well -nothing jolting or loud. I came on an early Sunday morning so the cafe was empty. They offer lots of baked goods and some sandwiches. I like a strong latte so I ordered the 8oz oat milk latte which comes with 2 shots. The service was good; the barista recommended the oat milk over the almond due to it foaming better. The oat milk really did not foam well as it just left bubbles on the top and the latte was heavy and I could barely taste the coffee. I'm not sure if the espresso is not strong enough or the mug was larger than 8oz. It left a lot to desire. With tip it was about $7.65. read more

This place has always been overpriced but I've been able to justify it since it's a good work/study location. Today though, I paid 9 dollars for a latte made with ALDI oat milk. Might have to start going across the street after this sadly. read more

Yes, absolutely. In the search to find a nice coffee shop that meets all my needs: light food, great coffee, ample seating, nice staff, and JUMPIN' WiFi: Ipsento hits the mark. It's quite enough yet busy Enough and has generous seating. My first time in I went with my go to's: ham & cheese croissant and a cappuccino... both delicious. The coffee had depth. I managed to get a seat right by the window. Table was clean and seat was comfy. I love the option of getting my coffee in a mug... some coffee shops are getting away from this... I find it very charming. Parking may be a bit of a struggle but it's in walking distance from my house and right off the 606. I will definitely be back. read more

I always see this place when I'm on the 606 trail and I'm glad I finally got to try it. It was very crowded and seating is first come first served so we were very lucky to snag a table. 1 of my coworkers invited me to Ipsento 606, and I've been hooked ever since! I LOVE the Ipsento Latte. It's a beautiful combination of sweet and heat. The blend of coconut milk, honey, and cayenne is incredibly unique but very flavorful. The cayenne gives a kick, but it's not overbearing. I actually enjoy a little extra cayenne in mine. I've also purchased coffee beans from them before. I kept half the bag and gave the rest to my Dad, and he enjoyed it. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The vibe is very chill, but can sometimes be active and crowded. That's simply because it's a great place to meet up with friends or post up and get some work done. The only thing that keeps me from visiting more is the parking. Sometimes it's difficult to find a spot, but don't let that deter you from stopping in. You won't be disappointed. #ImNotAFoodie #ImJustAGirlWhoLovesFood #YelpEliteSquad read more

It was okay. Just okay. I stopped in on Sunday morning when I was in the neighborhood, and it wasn't very busy at the time (good for me since I was headed to an appointment and I have a genetic predisposition to be late, even when I build in extra time). The woman who took my order seemed indifferent at best; like she as simply annoyed at having to help. I understand working sucks and I'd like to win the lottery so my time can be my own too, but I don't take it out on others. Since I don't drink coffee, chai is generally my go-to order at a coffee shop. They have a house chai and a "regular" (for lack of a better term) chai, and I wanted to try the house blend, of course. It was ok, but nothing to write home about nor to visit here again to order. It was less sweet than chai can often be (which isn't a bad thing; sometimes chai is just cloyingly sweet). But surprisingly, it seems to lack much flavor. I missed out on the kouign-amann (unless they didn't have them in the pastry case), so I just had the tea. The inside is pretty large. They have counter seating in addition to the tables, and the counter has some garage door-style windows to open it up to the outside when the weather is nice (it's right next to Park 567, which I've also reviewed). It's also at the entrance to the 606 trail, and that in particular makes it pretty handy. There's some street parking which you can pay for at the machine or using the ParkChicago app. read more

The space is nice and well located- very conveniently located on the trail. The drinks are decent, but I will not be returning after the service I received today. I asked a question about a drink and the person ringing me up was borderline rude and not helpful. He then proceeded to snark to his coworkers about my question within earshot. This was not a complicated question nor did I ask for any special changes to a drink. Our exchange lasted less than two minutes so I was not holding up the line and taking up his time (there was no one behind me). No one needs to feel like garbage after purchasing a service that is supposed to be positive and is not cheap. I have frequented Ipsento on several occasions, ordering drinks and bags of coffee but never again. read more
