Ipsento coffee house is conveniently located right off the 606 Bloomingdale Trail. There is plenty of seating inside as well as a little park with a bike rack between the building and the 606 trial if you want to sit down and enjoy your latte' in the outdoors. Their coffee is pretty smooth, not harsh at all, they also offer food options. We had a breakfast croissant sandwich and a cinnamon roll, both were delightful. The only downside is, plan for a bit of a wait. This could have been a fluke or the day we visited they were low on staff, but it took about 10 min to get the coffee and another 5 for the food, total wait time was 15 min for us(this doesn't include the time it took to wait in line to order). But like I said, this could have been a fluke so give them a shot and try them out yourself, support local businesses! read more

Busy spot in a great location right by the 606. We came here for breakfast - ordered two sandwiches which are well presented and tasty. The coffees were prepared really quickly but the food took a while to come, which is understandable given how busy they were on a weekend morning. I do have to point out something about hygiene... we grabbed a table by the window and midway through eating, my boyfriend noticed how much dust + hair + debris were accumulated by the window next to where we sat. Honestly, looked like they haven't cleaned it for 6 months. It was quite off putting. I hope Ipsento can improve on this because otherwise it is a great little spot. read more

Came here with a friend for a quick coffee stop along a snowy walk. The place was filled with folks during work or just catching up. I really liked the location's modern feel, and everything seemed very clean and a good vibe. I ended up ordering the Ipsento latte and it definitely had a kick to it! I didn't realize there was cayenne in it. As other reviewers have mentioned, I think you should order one of their specialty lattes as they are the tastiest and I think are unique. I went to Ipsento 606 around 10:00 am on 12/6/2022. It was busy with customers and the atmosphere I found to be quiet for a coffee shop. I liked that at this coffee shop you could hear your thoughts and was not super loud like other coffee shops. I ordered the honey lavender latte and thought it was decent. The service was also very good by the baristas who made my drink. This coffee shop had a couple of seating options and I didn't have to wait to sit down at a table. I head to Ipsento 606 when I want to treat myself to a unique (and delicious) latte prepared beautifully. Today was a treat day, and they delivered once again. This was my first time back since the city started reopening (again) to indoor dining. Ipsento has gone back to their typical configuration with ordering at the back instead of up front, and you wait inside for pickup. COVID-wise, everyone was wearing what looked like high quality, well-fitted masks, and there was a lot of signage regarding masking and keeping distance. Their indoor seating is arranged well, and there are plexiglass barriers everywhere. The baristas were not wearing gloves, which is the right way to go in my view (much better for hand washing, no false sense of security). You'll wait a while for your drink here because of the care the baristas take with making it, so it was good to see their attention to safety. They have garage door windows on one side of the building which I'd expect them to open when it gets warmer, which will help with ventilation. I ordered an Ipsento latte and kouign amann as my day off treats. The Ipsento latte has honey, coconut cream, and a touch of cayenne. I was skeptical before I tried one, but it's a great combination. The cayenne is not too heavy, just a touch that gives the latte a slightly spicy finish. If you can have dairy, I'd recommend going with whole milk (I did 2% today, and I think whole cuts the sweetness of the honey better). The kouign amann had some of the best carmelization I've seen on one of these pastries - the inside was a little too doughy when it should be flaky, but overall it was great (and big!). Besides the lattes, one of my favorite things about Ipsento 606 is the location. There is a little park between the building and the 606, with access to the 606 right there. There are a bunch of flat-topped rocks circling the park that are good for sitting, so I enjoyed my treat outside with a nice view and some good people watching. All in all, a trip to Ipsento makes for a nice morning. It's just a treat place for me because it's pricey, but the quality and taste makes it worth a splurge once in a while. read more

Delicious, well rounded coffee and many other options! I got the cardamom-rose latte and it was delicious. The coffee was well balanced--not too sweet or bitter with the right kick of rose without it being overpowering. My partner also enjoyed their hot chocolate a lot. I have been for coffee before when on a walk and the coffee was good. This last time I came back and ordered a martini. It wasn't too busy and there were two people working. We were at a table of 6 and not everyone went to the counter to order something. The few of us who ordered alcoholic drinks waited probably 20 minutes to get our drinks. We saw the staff taking orders and getting drinks ready but it was frustrating they were prioritizing coffee drinks over ours since they take less time rather than making drinks in chronological order. The drink was pretty good so thats good. It was just annoying that our "quick pit stop" to grab one drink turned into everyone waiting for us to get our drinks and then be able to enjoy the drinks. read more

The Ipsento latte was rich & had a taro taste with a little kick of espresso coming after. The seasonal raspberry mocha can be made iced or hot and we picked the iced version. I've known about this place for some time -- and it's in such a good location so I really had no good reason for waiting to come here for so long! I would highly recommending giving Ipsento a try if you're looking for really good and some pretty unique latte options. I tried the nutella latte and it was amazing. There's a good amount of seating and it's a pretty wide open coffee shop. Great aesthetic and awesome service. They made my drink surprisingly quickly! It did take a long time for them to make it for whatever reason and I do wish there had been more seating options. I think the people that work here are trained to act like they hate their job and every patron in there. That's the only explanation as to why I've never seen a single staff member act in a remotely friendly manner. Doesn't matter if it's busy, not busy, morning/midday/evening, weekday or weekend. You'd literally have to pay me to be consistently so unfriendly, and I work in healthcare (a stereotypically miserable industry). I've been coming here for years and enjoy their drinks. I leave a tip every time. I don't take their rudeness personally but I'm thinking it's a feature not a bug that they act pretentious and lame. Also yes it is very slow if you're trying to get in an out quickly order ahead online and pickup. The "donuts" are trash - skip them unless you're a child but the fruit danishes and chocolate croissant are delicious. read more

They took almost 10 minutes to take my order then another whole 15 minutes to get my drink. I had ordered my drink to go but another customer took it.. staff, made another drink but in a mug instead of a to go cup. The barista looked extremely upset as she was handing me the wrong drink... all she did was sigh and did not make any eye contact with me. Such poor service from staff. I needed a quick afternoon pick me up and was near this coffee shop so Ipsento 606 it was! I had never heard of this place and stopped out of convenience. I am sooo glad I did!!! I loved the neighborhood and all the neighbors in and outside of the coffee shop. There were a lot of dogs out and about with their owners which I loved to see. The little park next door looked like a great place to sip your coffee too. I saw a ton of people doing just that. Inside, they are very careful with social distancing and sanitation. I appreciated that. The girl who took our order was very nice and friendly. She was behind a plexiglass partition and was super helpful explaining the different latte flavors. I tried a lavender rose latte. It was amazing! The delicate flavors mingled together but were not overwhelming. Rich & creamy was exactly what I was looking for. I will definitely return! I've really tried to give this place MANY chances over the year, but when others you take say that service & friendliness is lacking then it validates you. Coffee is great, one of the best in the area but if you don't care to have a positive experience then you're good. Good coffee, nicely designed space (twice as big as Ipsento Western and feels clean and open, with tons of natural light) and - my favorite aspect of its design - a ledge with bar stools that has a window directly in front of it which looks out on part of the 606 Trail that, when the weather's nice, is left open - it's perfect for taking a break from your work or book to people watch, daydream, and sip your coffee. There's a little park/tiny green space adjacent this spot, which is perfect for hanging out at with friends after grabbing your coffee goodies (including homemade doughnuts). During the evening the espresso machines go down (except for one) and the place transforms into a bar, with cocktails by the folks at Longman & Eagle and craft beer. read more

Particularly disappointing was that the cashier seemed to know nothing about the coffee, and had no interest in getting answers to any questions, even though there were 3 people work, and I was the only customer present. My drink, a cortado, was fine, but not great for sure, and very pricy for a mediocre drink: $4.25 + tax. After a few drinks in Chicago on a recent visit, I had to say I found the coffee scene pretty lacking. Great coffee shop located in Wicker Park near the 606. I stopped in to work for the day and there was plenty of space + lots of outlets. Loved the three different options of self serve water (cold, room temp, and sparkling). The latte I ordered was delicious, as well as the breakfast sandwich and mini donuts. I tried the Raspberry Mocha (great flavor, but definitely on the sweet side) and the house made mini donuts were awesome - definitely a must try when you stop in! read more

A funky little spot off the 606 trail! The donuts looked so cute!! They are miniature and adorable. I didn't get some but I wanted to! I got an 8 Oz cafe au lait and a ham and cheese morning bun. This is a top contender for when WFH is a bit boring...lots of seating + decent wifi + outlets, low to medium noise level (im sure that depends on a variety of factors-but I didn't find it to be overbearing), delicious drinks and great food. The baristas were all kind and I felt comfortable spending ~5 hours working here. It's close to the 606 (hence the name) and easily accessible via transit. A little bit of something for everyone. Local and friendly are two important elements when it comes to Coffee shops. This place has them both. The staff was welcoming and friendly along with patient. I had an hour to kill before an appointment and opted to come here versus Starbucks down the street. I'm very glad I did. If you can work with moderate noise (background music and conversations) then work here. If you plan on doing a business conference call, not sure if this is your spot to do so. I went with this small Americano as it was just enough to get me through the rest of the day. Well who knows, this may have me up until 2am. Paid Street parking is available and it near the Milwaukee entrance/exit of the 606.
