Showed up only to find it closed!! Online it clearly lists the operating hours of Monday-Sunday 7am-5pm. There was still supposed to be an hour before closing when I got here. There were no indications of why it was closed or for how long. What a bummer it looks very cute.

This spot is super cute and quaint. My husband and I came here because we had some time to kill before we went to the Lincoln Park Zoo lights event. I got a hot chai latte and it was delicious. The cafe is a cute little space and I liked that they had some board games to play. My husband and I played Guess Who, Battleship, and Connect Four.

Elaine's is a very cute retro cafe located in the Lincoln hotel. People here are too warm and so is the ambiance. They have a limited food and drinks menu, however, everything we tried we really liked it. My boyfriend got a Iced Latte with Vanilla syrup and I got a Macchiato with almond milk and vanilla and caramel syrup. Our server was very kind to let us know what to expect with the drinks and offered to exchange if we found the drinks to be really sweet or not of our liking. We also got a Spinach and Mushroom Croissant which was delicious (not vegan, but vegetarian) This place also has a limited cocktails menu, we didn't get a chance to try it however will surely do if I'm back in this neighborhood. Don't miss out the wall that captures "Elaine's Dogs". This is a pet friendly cafe and they usually like to capture e dog's photos for memory. Isn't that the cutest??!! Overall, sucha warm place with kind people around.

This coffee shop is located across the street from Lincoln Park so it can serve as a good starting point before a walk in the park or a good resting spot afterwards. I visited Elaine's on a Saturday morning and it was extremely crowded but what coffee shop isn't on a Saturday morning. However, I imagine there is more traffic at this coffee shop on Saturdays because it is conveniently located across the street from the Lincoln Park Farmers' Market. And, depending on the hotel occupancy rate the overflow of hotel guests can add to the crowd since Elaine's is attached to Hotel Lincoln. But even with the hustle and bustle of out of town guests, tourists, and neighborhood folks, it is worth tolerating for Elaine's Avocado toast. It is served on sourdough bread, which is my preference, and comes with a light serving of spring mix on top. That day the order was perfect. The selection of coffee drinks is standard although they offer a Vanilla Lavender Latte, which I ordered and thought it was good. Elaine's doesn't strike me as the kind of spot where you bring your laptop and sit all day, mostly because there isn't much seating available nor is it as accommodating. Although I am sure people have tried it. But the atmosphere of the cafe is more accommodating to meet friends and chat over coffee.

We started with a mocha, a solid, well-balanced drink that wasn't overly sweet and was just perfect. We didn't plan on eating here, but the menu was way too tempting. We ordered the cinnamon roll, and wow. This was insanely good. Most cinnamon rolls in the U.S. feel like sugar-heavy, cinnamon-flavored buns, but this one was light, flavorful, and beautifully made. The irimshik on top really elevated it, subtle, warm, and just sweet enough. Easy 10/10. Next was the cottage cheese pancake, which was also very good. It had a generous amount of cottage cheese stuffed inside, and paired with the sweet irimshik dip, the dish came together really well. 9/10. We then tried the qattama. It was good. flaky, crispy, and reminded me of a paratha. It came with a sour irimshik dip. While each component was good, I felt the qattama would shine more with a gravy-based dish. 7/10. Finally, we ordered the Nan Salma pasta. It's a tarry-based white sauce pasta with a unique flavor profile, and it was genuinely yum. Definitely something different and worth trying. Highly recommend it. 8/10. You have space to sit down and work as well. Service was good too. Some of the dishes might take 7-10mins to get prepared. It's not like your daily coffee shop who have stuff ready to go Overall, a great spot with unique food and a welcoming vibe. Definitely coming back. 9/10

I appreciated that the matcha can be customized. You can choose sweetened or unsweetened and even adjust the matcha strength. Since I am sensitive to caffeine I chose light matcha and it was perfect. Hella busy, the staff was semi-helpful while I was trying to decide what to order--not rude, just not super engaging either. I ended up settling on a latte, which... whew. $8 for what felt like a few swallows. The cup was hella small, so that part definitely hurt a little. Menu isn't substantial. Despite how packed it was, I was able to take a meeting without too much trouble--shoutout to my noise-canceling headphones, because they were doing the heavy lifting. The space itself is on the smaller side, so if you're planning to camp out for a while, just know it can feel tight. The bathroom could've used a little attention. Nothing major, and maybe expected with a lot of people. Overall, it's a decent stop if you need coffee and a place to sit for a bit, especially in a pinch. Just be prepared for crowds, limited space, and pricey drinks that disappear way too fast.

Warm in the right way. The financier was great. Nutty from the almonds, little bursts of blueberry, soft but not mushy. I dipped it into the hot chocolate (had to), and yeah... even better. No regrets there. It's a small place, but if you get there early, you might grab a seat with a really nice city view. Worth it. I'll definitely be back. Small location with two ordering kiosks and one person working the counter handing out orders. There was no space for seating, but they did have a bar table to eat and stand at. I appreciated the ability to modify items at the kiosk--I'm not big on a lot of sauce, so I had the house sriracha aioli on the side but kept the house mayo and other ingredients. Everything was fire. Well-seasoned and flavorful. The "very soft scrambled" eggs were cooked perfectly for the sandwich without making it soggy, and the brioche was nicely buttered and toasted. It's diameter is about the thickness of a half liter bottle of water and it slightly shorter than a half liter bottle of water. I attached a couple of photos. The breakfast burrito tasted okay but lacked texture. It was mush on mush. The tater tots were soft, and the bacon was not crispy. I think the overall experience would be better IF the tater tots and bacon were crispy and offered a textural contrast. Overall, would I go back? I wouldn't go out of my way to grab a bite here but I wouldn't feel terribly upset if I ate here either (say, some friends or coworkers wanted to hit this place up, I wouldn't say no).
